Happy Holidays! Here's my extended thoughts on the cast: Mighty - Alejandro Saab: Mighty's got a youthful flare to him that'd prevent him from sounding too deep, I think, but a lower, bro-y, tough guy voice works well for him, and Saab has shown that really well in recent years. If life were nicer I'd also love to see the late great Billy Kametz tackle the role, too. Ray - Antony Del Rio: Ray has a lot of youthful whimsy, and I wrestled with whether or not he'd have a femme voice or not, but I feel that might make him too similar to characters like Charmy. Del Rio, most famous for Pit in Kid Icarus Uprising, has the youthful energy I want from him but still has a unique voice profile you don't get much of in this franchise. Fang/Nack - Tony Oliver: Funny enough, my first plan was Ben Diskin! But he just got cast as Black Doom in Shadow Gens and I have a no double casting rule. I tried a few out that I think could do awesome - SungWon Cho's higher registers was a close one, and I could easily imagine double casting Diskin or even Sam Riegel for the role - but I had an epiphany where Lupin III made too much sense to play Fang, so Tony Oliver was decided. I know some people headcanon him as Australian, but I didn't see definitive proof he was supposed to have an accent, so I decided to go easy on myself given my lack of knowledge of Australian VAs (with one exception you'll see...). Bean - Michael Sinterniklaas: Very easy choice. Bean is chaotic, Sinterniklaas had the exact vibe I wanted in the Osomatsu-san dub. Easiest choice all list. Bark - Mark Whitten: The first in a line of many annoying choices I had to make is the character that doesn't talk. I didn't find any evidence he was mute, just quiet, so I elected to go unconventional and looked through fighting game grunts until I found one I thought fit, and Mark Whitten had that perfect calm but intense vibe I wanted. If Bark does talk, I think he should have a softer voice, so it works out for me. Honey - Faye Mata: I tend to default to Faye on a lot of cat-like characters for some reason, she just has that sound to her, and I had a voice clip that fit the vibe perfectly already. Pretty easy choice. Witchchart - Barbara Goodson: This group gave me a ton of trouble because they're so minor but they're in the comics voiced in two separate continuities, so I figured I'd include them. Witchcart herself was easy - Barbara Goodson's role as Rita Repulsa makes her a favorite for old witches and her recent run as Turbo Granny in DanDaDan made her easy to think of off the bat. Rhyming not included. Bearanger, Hocke-Wulf, and Carrotia - Eric Bauza, David Errigo Jr., and Marieve Herington: For the Witchcarters I went outside my usual comfort zone a tad and looked at western animation, primarily Looney Tunes alumni that could still reasonably appear in a modern Studiopolis-led recording project. I ended up looking at the newest Tiny Toons show and picked out three notable actors who were known for comedy cartoons but also showed up in anime or game dubs that you'd expect the Sonic series to have actors from! Eric is a ton of modern Looney Toons voices including Bugs himself, David is the most current voice of Ferb in Phineas and Ferb (as well as Ranma in the new Ranma 1/2, amusingly), and Marieve is an anime and game veteran (One Punch Man, Danganronpa) who is maybe most known now for Tilly in Big City Greens. Some cartoony voices for cartoony characters! The Battle Kukkus - Alexander "Octopimp" Gross, Brandon Winckler, and Joe Ochman: The other difficult group from the Game Gear games that have too much comic relevance to ignore. Less detail went into casting them, just vibes - Gross did a great over the top villain voice in Pokemon Masters that I think fits the Great Kukku really well, Winckler can do that youthful egotistical vibe really well, and when I saw Ochman voiced a manic evil scientist in one show I thought it'd be a pretty great fit and I was right. I was told they might be Russian but, again, I found no proof their dialogue was accented, so I once again ignored it for my own sake! Emerl/Gemerl - Lucien Dodge: I grew up with Battle so I was excited for this one. I wanted the same actor for them but in different tones - more hotblooded, "shonen" for Emerl, and more brotherly, deep, or even butler-y for Gemerl. Lucien Dodge ended up beign my go-to - ironically I remembered he voiced a robot after making the choice, so that was easy, but Gemerl took a bit more searching for a deeper role, eventually landing on his later work in the Fate/ franchise to show his lower range. I wasn't sure if people would see the vision, though, so the metallic reverb I added to the robots this time I think gets my idea across a bit better. Shade - Rebeka Thomas: I don't have strong feelings on Shade, admittedly. I have way more Echidnas to cast in an inevitable next Sonic project and she's in a weird spot legally. But I know she's very serious, and I think she looks cool - Thomas was a pretty solid fit for that vibe based on how I've used her in the past, so it felt fitting! Marine - Aimee Smith: This one DOES have a written out accent so I didn't think I could ignore it! Luckily there's a prominent Australian actress on the scene with Aimee Smith, and while I struggled to find a role that fit the tone of Marine (like her role in Freedom Planet might) that also showed her accent, thankfully Arknights and its accents abound bailed me out for this clip. Heavy King and the Hard-Boiled Heavies - Jalen K. Cassell: The way my heart sank when I learned these guys do in fact talk in the comics. Please forgive me for not individually casting them all (if I did maybe I'd do a tokusatsu reference? Iunno) but their faces are just too similar for me to easily distinguish them. For now I'll cast King as Cassell, who can do a hammy villain voice that fits a king, and also I think could change their voice enough to fit five different robots well, even if they're different genders. Sorry for being a bit lazy with this one but I do think the actor has the chops for it! "Barry" - Casey Mongillo: I included the gag visual novel, yes. Barry being very genderless is important to me and Casey's a great actor for ambiguous voices and for playing any gender easily. The Conductor - Michael Sorich: He's a pleasant old man and Sorich plays those well, pretty straightforward. I didn't cast his wife since she's only in an ending and a comic but I think a Rachel Robinson or Valerie Arem would be solid there. The Train - Christian LaMonte: This was the point where my friends thought I was insane for being particular about it. I imagined a high but masc voice, something a bit butlery, and I ended up on LaMonte for that! I think my attention to sticking with my own arbitrary rules and not just using Microsoft Sam for this one will be the death of me. Trip - Dani Chambers: The most recent addition to this list! Trip's super cute and youthful and Dani's a long-time favorite of mine now for those kinds of roles, she was my first instinct and I felt happy with the results!
Idk if it was intentional or not, but we all know Mecha Sonic uses Andrew Chandle's Cooler voice, and you casting Guerrero is funny cuz he voiced Cooler in DBZ abridged
Oh my god Your casting for Chris Guerrero as Mecha Sonic MK II is SUCH A DEEP CUT I LOVE IT Chris Guerrero voices Cooler in Dragon Ball Z Abridged Cooler's official Dub voice is often associated with Mecha Sonic MK II due to SMBZ and then you have Abridged cooler as Mecha Sonic MK II, I LOVE the deep cut lmao

Love that Emerl and Gemerl were voiced by the same person, but with different inflections and tones, and they talked differently too. Made from the same outline, but ultimately different people.
@@noahmaybin1781 If they already have an official cast I probably won't tackle it for a video. I'm sure a reboot would bring a new cast but that's a bit TOO theoretical for me, haha.

Hi im seth and im making a smash bros fighting game Xenofighters Can you do a dream cast for my characters im almost done with the first 2 games for Xenofighters i have a dream cast in my head but im always in for suggestions
So I've been told, but I have a bizarre amount of thoughts about this matter: 1. I think the Heavies would have similar, overly-synthesized voices like Omega does, with just tonal differences, where the gender of the actor doesn't really matter that much to the performance itself. 2. Robots don't really have like, biological gender typically, so I don't particularly mind if a robot shaped like an egg has female pronouns but isn't voiced by a woman. 3. I genuinely did think about this enough to specifically choose a non-binary actor because my brainrot for these videos is bad enough that I find myself making those very subtle pointless casting choices even when I'm trying to save myself time. So tl;dr, yeah they are and I thought about that way longer than I probably needed to while streamlining this process! I don't know why I'm like this.
I was going to ask who that would involve and then I remembered the mass of mobile games I've yet to touch, haha. Maybe some day, though probably not until after KH4, since it might thin the numbers a bit!
It felt like a cop-out to ignore him and realistically if he did grunt he'd probably just be an actor already in the game (like how Omega's currently voiced by Sonic's actor) but I didn't wanna be lazy with a popular character lol
I don't actually know that many of the sources I get audio from, I just search what I need to for the clip, but TWEWY is an all-timer for favorite games haha
