The one youtuber who actually knows how to make an unboxing video other than your geek fix
I just do it the way I'd like to see it done, though not perfect it still works out for the cliche that is what most want!
Yay
I wish they would have a module for the date. Though it isnt impossible to make it would be most likely very complicated.
Eh, honestly would be fairly simple, but it would be delicate which is probably why that didn't happen.
I'd love to have that though, maybe at some point!
@@Lynk_Wyland maybe. Also it Would be cool to see functional holotapes. Store and run things from an SD card or something to that effect.
@@AnEverydayGamer I know, I loved the USB holotap that came with the Pipboy 3000 Bluetooth edition, I wish they would make one that is functional next though.
It'd be so cool as a simple file viewer on the pipboy or something like that.
@@Lynk_Wyland it really would
so it doesn't go into the other screens, like inventory or holo, notes , ammo ?
Sadly no, it is a static screen that lights up to show the stats screen.
It is not intractable other than the flickering display which is still decently cool.
Wait... It is just a picture with back light? Too bad they are not making a functional module with a led screen which could play pip boy on. That would be so much cooler
Yeahhh, it isn't the best thing in the world but it's still cool.
I do agree though, I've been working on the possibility of modding one to work but I don't have the money to spare for what it would take lol
@@Lynk_Wyland Wow hopefully you could do that soon
@@bopang466 yeah, sadly though due to adulting it might have to wait a few months ;D
@@Lynk_Wyland What do you mean by adulting ?
@@bopang466 Oh uh, I just mean like paying Bill's and stuff haha..
Do you recommend for I when I get the pipboy 2000 should I get the illimated display before I build the pipboy to make it much easier for myself?
Honestly it probably wouldn't be easier to do it during as the instructions included in the Display Module are specifically for swapping out the static screen with the illuminated screen.
It would just be personal preference in the end. If you want the challenge then totally! If not then just grab it up later.
Great video but I have one question. How come it sounds like every time you said flickering, it sounded like you edited it in lol
It was edited, I had said the wrong thing and it sounded odd to me so I decided to do this instead, I ended up doing it incorrectly but it still turned out funny to me. Cringy, but still funny lol
@@Lynk_Wyland ah ok. The rest of the video was great, I was just curious. Thanks for the reply!
@@sagevoyage Yeah, no problem! And thank you!
Think the coolest thing was the "Boston bugle" newspaper as packaging, Devs of this definitely put thought into even smallest of details.
A weird ass voice over every time "flicker" is said..lol
I 100% agree!
I love when companies go out of there way to add in small details to packages like these.
The Wand Company are one of the best with doing this so far!
Do you know where I can find the mod, I’ve look for months with no results. It would be awesome if you could tell me.
If you're talking about the Display Module I believe they stopped producing them sadly as I haven't been able to find them anywhere anymore.
Though I do believe you can buy the pre-assembled version from BethesdaGear which comes with the Display Module installed!
Definitely great, but you can´t scroll through the different menus right?
Not on this one sadly, though you can mod it to do that!
What was with the over-dub?
The what?
Edit: Nevermind, but where do you hear over-dubs?
@@Lynk_Wyland I might not be getting some inside joke but I'm referring to the "flicker" dub.
Huh, my response didn't show up from before but yeah those were just me messing up simple words and I ended up just having fun with it because why not ;D
Also I was going to use a text to speech bot but didn't have enough time so I just over-dubbed it!
It'll be better next time if I do it again!
Only the Geiger counter module to go.
Yeah, Now just for them to release it!
I'm also curious as to what is taking them so long to release it currently?
@@Lynk_Wyland apparently the housing and tubing has to be compact and I honestly Hobe that it comes out soon
@@Uncle-Ruckus yeah, It appears to be functional and ready, just not produced/shipped..
I seriously do hope they come out soon aswell though. I want it so badly!
@@Lynk_Wyland there's gonna be a geiger counter? How is that gonna work
@@xoloman846 We don't fully know, but apparently it will be able to detect 3 types of radiation, if you want to see more about it check out some videos and stuff online! I believe tested got to see it before but I don't remember.
Currently we are just waiting for it to release so yeah. Ripperoni.
I can't find it in the bethesda store
It might currently be out of stock due to the most recent black Friday deals. Check back later if you can or check other retailers!
Wow he still replys to comments
Ok but what does it do? Like what can I do with it?
I explained that in the video lol but to recap: it turns on, flickers and can be tapped to fix the flickering.
That's about all, it's mainly just a cosplay prop or a replica that would sit on a shelf and look pretty.
Could you show us a Fully Modded pip boy?
That would be awesome
/////////////////////
That looked like it took.
Quite some time
Do you mean one with all of the current released modules?
But yes, each module took me around 45 minutes to fully install!
Lynk_Wyland
*Si*
///////////////
Wow!
@@AubreyMoreau Actually my next video on the Pip-Boy 2000 was going to be a show off of the final results and a another model we have plus some repairs aswell, my only issues is getting the time to do it!
Do expect it this month though!
Lynk_Wyland *Okie dokie*
You can see his face in the reflection of the pip boy
Shhh, don't tell them ;D
Does anybody know where I can buy one?
Depends on which version you're looking for, the Build it yourself I believe is no longer in stock at retailers but the pre-assembled one should still be sold at most retailers including the BethesdaGear store!
Good luck!
@@Lynk_Wyland Thanks. I might try an electro luminescent panel behind the display.
@@gordon5004 No problem! Please update me on how it turns out if you do!
Everyone grab the closest nukacola and get a drink
I've got my Quantum!
@@Lynk_Wyland even better
Can you change the name or is it always Albert?
Sadly unless you make your own, it is always defaulted at albert
@@Lynk_Wyland damn I just bought the radio mod because it's actually a functional thing would you say that the screen would be a worthwhile purchase considering now they retail for around $100 on eBay?
@@kyle7134 Maybe not fully for 100$ unless you seriously want it and know you'll love it and or have money yo throw away for it as it is just a light behind a sticker with a button, otherwise if you can get it for the normal price then totally if you enjoy your pipboy and enjoy upgrading it!
Why was the work Flickering Dubbed over
Used the incorrect word there, decided that was funny, ended up executing it wrong but still sounds stupidly funny so I left it
Lynk_Wyland all good bro i didn’t know if you were swearing or something
I personally wouldn't have used the fusion AAA batteries, kind of a collectible item if you ask me
I am only using them until they die, then I plan to put them on display!
But honestly, I wouldn't have either except I did not have other batteries laying around at the time ;D
my only grip with the screen was that who the fuck is albert? like remove the name and its golden
I know right, it's supposed to be some default name but is quite annoying.
@@Lynk_Wyland only way i can think to remove the name would just be black it out then just have no name.
That is a potential way, if you plan to do this please tell me the results! If not, I might look into it myself at some point!
@@Lynk_Wyland I have yet to find the screen kit. everywhere its sold out.
look it is FLICKERING
It is FLICKERIN. I am glad you noticed too ;D
This calls into question their excuse for not making a real screen for it.
That, and the fact on why the radiation module is still not out? ;-;
They say the can't make a working screen for it because is to expensive to make and the radiation module is coming out soon
@@chiken6049 yeahh, and what where?!?! I need the info!
@@chiken6049 radiation module still isnt a thing
Yep, no info about it at all still.
I've attempted to contact them about it many times to no avail.
Rip Radiation Module.
FLICKERING
I will never live this down ;D
Who else came to the comments for no reason
