Yes, it was beyond insulting, it was heartbreaking....
Rian Johnson clearly has no idea how the force works in Lucas vision. The "balance in the force" doesnt mean there is equal number of Siths and Jedis. The Jedis try to keep balance in the force, the Sith try to upset that balance for their own benefit.
People who said that was clearly not Star Wars fans, just pretenders! I mean, we had Republic (1998 - 2006), The Clone Wars Adventures comics (2003 - 2007), Dark Times, Legacy of the Force, Legacy, Darth Bane Trilogy, The Force Unleashed (games, comic, novelization), etc. So much good material, just a non fan to claim that the franchise was dead after 2005! Star Wars was totally on fire in the 2000s! Lol

@@MSpotatoes It had beautiful lighting, good music and … uh … hmmm … I guess Adam Driver’s boobies if you’re into that kind of thing. But other than that, you’re right.
8:38 What really gives this away is that never once is it ever referred to as the "light side" in George Lucas' movies. Just as there's no "light side of the moon". There's the moon, and the dark side of the moon. There's the Force, and the dark side of the Force. The corruption of goodness. So yeah, restoring balance isn't balancing the two halves, it's eradicating the corruption and restoring purity. To their credit, though, Mace Windu's remarks in Episode III do greatly aid the misconception. "It's possible we misunderstood the prophecy," he says, shortly before the Chosen One and natural causes eliminate every single Force user slowly over the course of 20 years, except for Luke, who uses both "light" and dark powers (he Force Choked a pig-man :/). I can't really blame people, I held that misconception for a long time because of that line, myself.
There are two aspects of the Force. There's the energy field Obi-wan talks about in ANH. There's the "living Force" talked about by Qui-Qon in TPM. The living Force refers to all the living things in the galaxy from which the Force is created, forming a circle where both sides benefit from and depend on one another. An imbalance between the two gives rise to the dark side, which threatens both.
People will try to gaslight others and convince them that the prequels where hated and ruined the franchise. When they try to do that to me, I ask them "why is there SO MUCH prequel content then?" Republic Commando, The Battlefront and BF's reboot franchise, and several cartoons and movies. If no one liked the prequels, who were they marketing that stuff to?
That's the secret to marketing. People buy what they like. That is why people bought Transformers, He Man ot TMNT toys. Everyone wanted a Darth Maul toy, a Jedi figurine, Clone Troopers and Droids for the armies they were building, Plaques novels, Venerator kits, Anakin vs Obi Wan posters, pod racing videogames. Even Jar Jar sold better than most ST merch. Remember the Pepsy adds? ST merch is on shelfs today. The only content they sell is the battered horse of the PT. They try to milk the thing they first distanced themselves from.
Because I think even most of the haters would admit there's still stuff to like about the Prequels. The era/setting itself is cool, many of the ship designs are cool, the Sith antagonists are cool, Maul looked _super_ cool and had a double-bladed lightsaber, the lightsaber duels were some of the most intense and choreographed fights in all of cinema... And since the marketing was geared towards older kids and tweens, they ate all that stuff up. There was still stuff for them to cling to. You also couldn't say that the prequels were lazy. Whether you liked the prequels or not, Lucas had a vision and he made that vision a reality. It had _heart._ If it was lazy it would just rehash the OT. Whether you liked that vision or not is a different discussion, but it was anything but lazy or a cash-grab. DSW, on the other hand.....................

Round Headed Johnson was the one who helped create The Fandom Menace. I recall seeing The Last Jedi, opening night in my home town. There was a guy in a Kylo Ren outfit who fit it perfectly. He was a few rows ahead of myself. As the movie went on and came to an end. I didn't feel like I just saw a Star Wars movie. I wondered what was wrong with me. Normally I have stayed to the very end of the credits for EVERY Star Wars movie I ever saw. I saw the guy dressed as Kylo Ren, bolt from the movie theatre just as I was. So I knew I wasn't alone in my feelings. Then Rian and Disney started blaming the fans and kicking the people who support by way of buying things right in the face. Ever since that movie, I have not paid to see anymore of Disney's Star Wars CRAP. I did manage to catch Solo a Star Wars Story on a free to watch web site and understood why it "really" bombed. Not because I didn't see it, it really destroyed what I would have considered a decent Han Solo origin story polluting it with social politics and annoying characters. Never understand the hate for the prequels. George wrote them, they were fun, they told a cohesive story, had great casting choices, the best fights, they are classic Star Wars.
To be honest, the prequel trilogy are just badly made and poorly written movies. The sequel trilogy is more than that, it is an abomination. But this doesn't make the prequel trilogy any better.

the people that hate the prequel movies reek of insecurity. it's fine to not like some aspects but to bend over backwards and go "OW THE CRINGE! THE CRINGE!" is more childish than the prequels were. It's like anime fans that say "mecha's dead" because the 70s and 80s are behind us
People often forget that Star Wars is a MULTI MEDIA franchise. The games, novels, comics and toys we got during the prequel era were fantastic. Only good things we’ve gotten from Disney Star Wars in the past 10+ years have been Rogue One, Mando seasons 1 and 2, Andor, and the Jedi games. Not a lot for such a large amount of time

Its the reason why I always refer to RLM as "Retards, Losers, and Morons". Never forget and never forgive the fact RLM created the narrative of "Marcia Lucas saved Starwars". A narrative proven false by Marcia Lucas herself.
Not even close to accurate, plenty of people were complaining about the poor acting and stupid or unnecessary characters and lacking dialog. Generalizing nuanced critique is exactly what the acolyte showrunners are doing...
How old were you because I remember the criticism and the World Wide Web aka the Internet was very early yet. I myself realized after watching TPM several times that there was something different about it that didn't quite generate that fevered feeling of excitement and thrills as Star Wars 1977 did.
I held out high hopes for Star Wars after The Force Awakens. I remember walking out of The Last Jedi with my father, both of us shaking our heads, thinking through all the ways the film failed. Rian Johnson allowed his filmmaking ego to become bigger than the story he was tasked to tell. At its most fundamental level, The Last Jedi didn't make textual sense. It was completely unfamiliar to the ethos of what Star Wars had been. I feel awful for Mark Hammill, because Luke Skywalker was someone he knew more intimately than any of us, and he was open and honest about his disagreements with Rian Johnson over what Johnson planned to do with Luke's story. What a truly lost potential for what should have been a great ending for a truly great story.
Originally I found the prequels boring but as I grew up I realized how good they were. I also read most of the expanded universe. When Kathleen and JJ talked Bob into relegating the expanded universe to legends so they could pick and choose the plots they wanted and not be constrained, that was when things fell apart. For the most part Disney hasn’t had a hand in the Movies, Kathleen has been doing a fine job Messing it up on her own, that said, Disney renewing her contract continually is either them not caring or them having no choice due to a clause they never should have allowed.
To put the success if Star Wars before Disney into perspective, Clone Wars was made ar a 10 million dollar annual loss because the merchandise from Clone Wars tie ins where bringing in more then that. And Clone Wars with its budget that was put toward RnD did more to further animation technology then Pixar accomolishes with literally ten times that RnD budget even when they where making good movies.
I love the prequels too, you're not alone. And I love this Analyzing Evil series. This whole thing is a metaphysical battle, and the conspiracy is both conscious and unconscious, as it is with all forms of evil.
JJ Abrams making The Force Awakens the way that he did paved the way for The Last Jedi. Obviously Rian Johnson had his own way with The Last Jedi, but had the previous installment been different, then perhaps the way Luke, the force and other things that were handled in The Last Jedi could have been a lot better, especially if they didn’t let Rian do whatever he wanted. But Rian Johnson did things his way and well we now have The Last Jedi. I still remember a video around the time Disney bought Lucasfilm where he was asked if he did a Star Wars film and what he’d like to do with it and his response was basically he wouldn’t want everybody loving it. He’d want half the people who saw it to love it and the other half to hate it. Nothing in between where you liked some stuff, but disliked other stuff. Had to be you either love it or hate it. With that in mind, makes even more sense why The Last Jedi was the way that it was. Thank god he’s never getting his trilogy made because with the attitude he had making TLJ, I’m sure he’d continue making that trilogy the way he’s already contributed to “Star Wars”. Plus whenever he’s said Empire Strikes Back was divisive with fans, it’s obvious he’s purposely misleading people to think that because fans of the time really enjoyed or loved Empire when it came out, the mixed reception was with critics not fans and he has to know that. And I agree that under George Lucas, the books and comics of the expanded universe was a lot better. Yeah some things would overlap with other things the more time goes where so many stories are told outside of the George Lucas films, but George Lucas would be involved and approve of what did and didn’t go into the books and comics regarding storylines and characters. This is a great video man and a great series. Keep up the great work and take care!
I think the ST could have been salvaged somewhat if we at least got the original ep9 duel of the fates. while it wasn't perfect it didn't backpedal on the decisions made in TLJ which is way more admirable than directors going NO U NO U back and forth and shitting up the trilogy. Could it make it as good as the PT or even the OT? no, but I don't think we would hate them all nearly as much. instead we got a terrible ROTJ ripoff with 1000x less soul
KK said they had no baseline or story material. In other words, she hired directors and allowed them to bring their vision to the screen. They had a blank slate, except for a mandate to make films of a flavor like the originals and not the prequel.
Honestly, this is closer to the original Analyzing Evil than the current iteration where you (annoyingly) see and constantly cut to the narrator. I much prefer this. Thank you for keeping it going, and for keeping it grounded in reality by focusing on all the living breathing evil narcissists on this Earth, rather than just focusing on fiction. This a strong concept taken to the next level.
Its a simple pros and cons situation. The prequels aren't perfect but there are so many pros that are so iconic about each of the prequels that really fits and expands the star wars univuniverse. The disney sequels have so few pros and the cons are so massively horrible that they are really hard to enjoy.
I think what DIsney has been doing has helped a lot of people realize that for all their flaws, at least the prequels are Star Wars movies. They feel like Star Wars, they work within the established rules of the universe, and they add so much to the lore.
@@Randomthewnah it’s more like people who had the original OT hype but then got JAR JAR had a slap on the face and then like a decade of waiting for revenge of the sith payoff
That sums up what I think about the prequels. No masterpieces. But a large amount of the best secondary Star Wars works were made around that time and were directly based on them. Hindsight we really can say they expanded the Star Wars universe and were overall a net positive. I'm actually glad that Disney stuck the "Legends" tag on all older works, since it means I can safely ignore anything that doesn't have that mark.
I dont get why people say The Last Jedi is so ground breaking in Star Wars storytelling. Its mostly just a tired re-mix of precious Star Wars plot points. As for the story-still nothing that groundbreaking in terms of what has come before

Absolutely. Rian Johnson knew the questions set up by previous movie. The mystery of Rey’s Parents, Snoke, what Luke Skywalker was doing, and the origin of the First Order. He purposely chose to give unsatisfactory answers to these questions.
I loved reading Legacy, Empire, Clone Wars and KOTOR from Dark Horse comics while having a beer with my old man in the late 2000s. I loved everything Star Wars up until TLJ.
Based intro to this. People who say "Star Wars died after 2005" are really dumb. Say what you will about Filoni now, but Clone Wars was HUGE when it came out, made a ton of new fans, and it really only ended because of Disney buying the series rather than being cancelled. People seem to forget how big of a game Force Unleashed was as well. Hell, the hype built off the back of all the 00s Star Wars content is why Force Awakens was one of the hugest opening weekends in history.
I’ve never met anyone who said that except UA-camrs with content quotas… Not as based as you think. Real base would be recognizing the stage the internet was at at that time and the fact people had their own opinions. Not a Plinkett Fandom.

Fuck yeah homie...I loved the prequels and the OG battlefront games from republic commandos and star wars empire at war...also the EU was so in depth it was mind boggling and dark it made star wars open up after the prequels and the old republic.......fuck Disney
And they don't like when you bring up the EU, it's why they go overboard in using George Lucas to discredit it, because they feel threatened by it, when we have every valid right to compare what we lost to what we have now. Why else do people keep saying Disney Star Wars should do something in the Old Republic era? Unfortunately, that's gone. We are never going to get a Darth Zannah novel now thanks to Disney, and I'll never forgive them for that.
Anyone who thinks the prequels are bad and ruined Star wars or that George Lucas killed Star wars need to shut up because you were probably never a Star wars fan anyway. You are the reason Lucas felt alienated
It's very telling when the near-universally despised Electronic Arts is looked to as the last bastion at the gate of the Expanded Universe. They put some lip service outfits that were homages to Disney's wreck of a 'canon' universe, and chose to ignore anything 'creatively' or narratively as it relates to the overarching EU lore that they did that contracted said lore. Lightsaber crystal color being a preference of the user and not some quasi-spiritualistic nonsense that undermined the original. And Johnson is just another lazily-hammered nail in the coffin.

I was in the theater in 1977 with my dad to see the original Star Wars. Not Episode IV. I LOVE the Prequels! All three. The only Prequel I didn't care for was Phantom Menace. Just a little too campy for me. Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith were much better. The EU is the heart and soul of my love for Star Wars though. Loved it.
Never heard of you until this slid into my rec's. I relate strongly to that impassioned rant at the start. I, too, am a prequel fan and big EU fan. Revenge of the Sith is my favorite movie of the six and I mean unironically. I enjoy that movie so much. As for the EU, I literally spent half of my teenage years practically studying it. I hated school and had a crappy home life, so the EU was a major escape for me. I was always a history nerd, enjoying that as my favorite subject in school, and studying the EU was like studying a history that wasn't ours. It was fun. If I had all my schoolwork done in study hall, I'd either have my nose in a Star Wars novel or comic, or I'd be in the computer lab looking random stuff on Wookiepedia. I had many of the games (Rogue Squadron is an amazing quadrilogy), I watched the movies frequently, both from the perspective of the movies by themselves, and as an EU nerd knowing all the things happening off-camera. Star Wars was a _big_ deal for me. It also influenced the way I look at media a lot, and the importance of escapism. Even if Star Wars had the occasional, subtle political take, the key takeaway that it _was_ subtle and easy to ignore or not even notice. Which is how it should be. Preachy media sucks and it doesn't matter who's receiving it. For those who agree with it, it will have no effect. For those who don't, well they just lost out on a story. Such things should almost always be in the background. Especially since the entire point of Star Wars' creation was so that kids could grow up with fairy tales again. Those movies are timeless because any subtle political messaging _is_ easily missed and that's the point. They will and have outlived the politics contemporary to the era of their making. Something Disney Star Wars will never understand. And the EU... The EU doesn't get enough credit, and it didn't back in the day either. I consider the entirety of the EU a work of art unto itself. Nothing like that ever really existed before. An immense tapestry that any author, artist, game designer, etc. could add to, and have it _mean_ something. Have it _stick._ It gave purpose and meaning to even the less quality additions. With a handful of exceptions, if you had a Star Wars something in your hand, it was probably canon in some way. Engaging with the story then gave you a clearer look into this universe that isn't ours, yet has almost as much detail. It was so _unique_ that eventually a few other brands tried it out. I seem to recall the Star Trek novels started trying to form a similar cohesive EU of their own. And that's _great._ That's _awesome._ The EU was cool enough to deserve to have attempts to follow it. It was beautiful. I studied the EU like a subject of its own. I just kept wanting to learn more, because it was fun. And it was something to focus on, put my energy towards something I cared about. Even the bad parts I was happy to learn about. And to be honest... I even had intentions of adding to it myself one day. I had no delusions that I'd be creating anything like the Thrawn trilogy, but I'd be honored to add to the EU even in a small way. Maybe give some other teen an escape. That dream is dead now. And so is the wonder that was the EU. When I heard that was happening a lot of my interest in Star Wars died with it. I tried to then just hang on to the movies but as the brand sunk further and further, I found it more and more difficult to enjoy the movies. I only kept thinking about what was lost, both George's magic touch and the EU. It's really depressing what Star Wars has become. It's now antithetical in every possible way to what the original six films stood for. I hate you so much, Disney. There aren't enough words in any language on Earth past or present to express the _depth_ of my hatred for this corporation. You destroyed a beautiful piece of art. You destroyed my dream, as well as any hope of a future kid seeking an escape to find it in the Star Wars saga. _Please_ go bankrupt.
There are definitely only six films. I was 4 when I saw Star Wars in 1977. My favorite way to make fun of OT purists is to say "Star Wars ended for me during the point in Empire Strikes Back when Vader looks at the screen at the Hoth shield generator and says 'That's it!'" Lucas had some ups and downs, but I'm not about to judge who is and isn't a fan different parts of his work. Disney just bought the name, big car companies and big shoe makers buy name brands all the time and make trash under the old labels.
Bro couldn't agree more with you about the prequels- people (like RLM- Trekkies 🤢🤮) took hating on them waaaaayyy too far, yet didn't bring the same energy to the Diznee trilogy
Here’s the thing about the Ozymandias thing: 1) The show had been building up to it for nearly 5 seasons and so it was extremely hard to get wrong 2)Vince had full writing authority and considering people praise Ozymandias mainly for its writing, I think that’s important to remember While obviously the directing in Ozymandias is phenomenal, as is his directing in Fly, you have to keep in mind that he’s actually a pretty good director in some aspects, the problem is that he’s a bad writer
I absolutely hate Ruin Johnson! The way he destroyed Luke Skywalker is unforgiveable! And he even has the gall to ask to have another SW trilogy of his own after he did this. Shameless and unrepentant. He should be kept away far far away from Star Wars after that. This director for me is Kathleen Kennedy's Star Wars assassin, tasked to destroy the original trilogy's main hero. So that Kathleen Kennedy and company could replace Luke wirh their own creation in which they could mold and inject their twisted political agendas from there on in.
@j.j.plagiarisms7149 Rian Johnson is a genius "let go for the past kill it if you have to". Hearing him in interviews, I see nothing worse than a man who thinks that his movies are perfect and wouldn't change anything. As if he believes he can do no wrong. Or perhaps this the producers/studio paying him to talk like that, which is probably way worse.
There are a lot of things I won't forgive Rian "The Ego" Johnson for, but mentioning Empire almost every time he can as if it will somehow associate his garbage film with that masterpiece, might just be the most egregious.
As a fan of Zahn's and Vonda McYntire's books, I fully agree with how you see the resurgence of SW as rooted in the early 90s, not the prequels themselves. Subbed.

The hate got Jar Jar binks completely nixed and practically killed Hayden Christiansens career before it took off.

Does anyone else get irritated they never include “Dark Forces” among great Star Wars video games?
Dark forces 2 is probably my favorite piece of star wars media.
No
I'm starting to love the prequels again. At first, i hated the prequels, but after watching them again, i love them.
Its a simple pros and cons situation. The prequels aren't perfect but there are so many pros that are so iconic about each of the prequels that really fits and expands the star wars univuniverse. The disney sequels have so few pros and the cons are so massively horrible that they are really hard to enjoy.
@@Randomthew I agree
I think what DIsney has been doing has helped a lot of people realize that for all their flaws, at least the prequels are Star Wars movies. They feel like Star Wars, they work within the established rules of the universe, and they add so much to the lore.
@@Siile_ exactly, exactly.
The Disney Golden Seal of Quality: "REJECTED BY MOUSE". 😹
I dont get why people say The Last Jedi is so ground breaking in Star Wars storytelling. Its mostly just a tired re-mix of precious Star Wars plot points. As for the story-still nothing that groundbreaking in terms of what has come before
I console myself with kotor & kotor2 which has diversity, storyline, locations and Sith. Good and Evil are vague concepts and the Cantina has hot dancers.
Thank you for putting Ruin Johnson's feet to the fire! Last Jedi is an abomination. To the apologists; where's Ruin Johnson's trilogy? 😂Silviers lining: at least the Sequels showed the Prequels actually didn't suck. It's something. 🤷♂
Absolutely.
Rian Johnson knew the questions set up by previous movie. The mystery of Rey’s Parents, Snoke, what Luke Skywalker was doing, and the origin of the First Order.
He purposely chose to give unsatisfactory answers to these questions.
Underrated comment.
They still kinda sucked, but they could have been a lot worse
EXCELLENT WORK. J.J.PLAGIARISMS SKIP RIAN JOHNSON
I think it's going to take Kathleen Kennedy leaving of her own free will before they finally admit it's never going to happen.
I loved reading Legacy, Empire, Clone Wars and KOTOR from Dark Horse comics while having a beer with my old man in the late 2000s. I loved everything Star Wars up until TLJ.
The prequels are great.
I’ve never met anyone who said that except UA-camrs with content quotas…
Not as based as you think. Real base would be recognizing the stage the internet was at at that time and the fact people had their own opinions.
Not a Plinkett Fandom.
Clone wars was not huge all caps bruh. Weren’t you there for baby Jabba? Or were you still drinking mothers milk
Perhaps you meant the HUGE Collab with samurai Jack creator?
Sam Witwer is the only reason anyone thinks Filoni is good

It's amazing how current Disney Star Wars shows somehow have EVEN WORSE writers than Ruin Johnson.
Just let that sink in.
Jar Jar Abrams KILLED Star Wars and Damaged Star Trek, that takes skill...or malice
Both
Honestly, I think Jar Jar Abrams is just retarded and nothing more. Ruin Johnsuck on the other hand is both retarded AND malicious.
“How does it feel to see your favorite franchises go up in flames?”
Are you ever gonna do a in depth series talking about The Plinkett Reviews?

You need to make these way way longer. I want more
I'm so glad you addressed the theme of failure and how Rian Johnson was not being original by using it. Sequel trilogy fans don't get it. It was already done in the Empire Strikes Back, and executed much better in a far more superior movie.
Even when i was a kid i still enjoyed the phantom menace, i never even skipped a scene. I love the prequals.
Yeah, the prequels were fine.
The guy who destroyed Luke Skywalker character and shills still try to defend that the Last Jedi fits with Luke Skywalker arc from the OT

Iran Johnson was born in 1973.
Before Rian Johnson, there was Dave Filoni!
Dave didn't become dogshit till at minimum 2018 tho. With the exception of being a glorified cinematographer on Breaking Bad, Rian has always sucked.
@@Dr._GroovyDude He's always taken from the EU and dumbed it down while publicly distancing himself from it. He was never as great as legions of delusional fanboys make him sound.
According to Dave George told him the EU wasn't canon when they were making Clone Wars and to ignore it. That is how you get things like Morriban instead of Korriban, and Boba Fett and Jango not being Mandalorian.
@@matthewgaudet4064 Filoni's a damn liar. He's been caught lying before, claiming he doesn't want to change source material, and encouraging people to change source material behind the scenes.

Thank you for mentioning KOTOR 2 being a better deconstruction of Star Wars than the Last Jedi. I swear people who go on about how great of a deconstruction the Last Jedi is have never heard of that game.
Check out the West End Games' Star Wars TTRPG. It was the foundation for pretty much everything following the original trilogy, starting with Timothy Zhan's Heir to the Empire trilogy.
I have to second your suggestion to read the Expanded Universe - the *actual* Star Wars canon. Heir to the Empire shows a war-torn galaxy reeling from the loss of the Emperor, as Imperial Warlords fight each other and the New Republic. Enjoying a brief respite of peace, Luke, with still no other Jedi compatriots, declares himself a Master, and finally begins to make moves toward restarting The Order. Rian Johnson getting creative freedom caused some canon issues
Honestly the prequel is the best, the original trilogy is fine and all but i wouldn't have stuck to star wars without the universe building of the prequel. There was very little of that in the original trilogy and it was just a story. The prequel gave us a universe.
A lot of people don't realize that. The prequels developed the Jedi and Sith massively. Gave us Coruscant, Naboo, a gorgeous planet, way more of Tatooine, etc... Showed us how the politics work within the Star Wars universe. Palpatine, one of the best characters, became so much more fleshed out, especially with all the books and Clone Wars in parallel of the movies themselves
Sorry, but ESB is on a completely different level than any SW film before, and after. As a stand-alone, it’s one of the best movies made in the 80’s. Cinematic perfection.
@@crazyralph6386 Nah, everyone was just shocked to learn Vader was Luke's father and their bias shows. Again i have nothing against the original trilogy it's an absolutely fine piece of cinema but i would have watched them once or twice and that's it. The prequel era is what made star wars special.

I think he did stop to think how it would affect the fans, I think Rian Johnson made a cold, calculated move specifically designed to torpedo the franchise and every single fan who still held hope for it after The Farce Awakens. Some things to note: The man is of the same vein as Alex Kurtzman, he hates anything that isn't nihilistic slop. He also hates true morality. This is a man who thinks without a shred of irony that good is actually evil and evil is actually just morally ambiguous. This was done on purpose.

I’d like to see that worm Michael Giordano a subject of “Evil Analysed”.
I was in the theater in 1977 with my dad to see the original Star Wars. Not Episode IV. I LOVE the Prequels! All three. Those movies are unique and unto themselves, as set apart from standard Hollywood fare as the first three were in 77. Don't care what anybody else thinks.
Ruin is a sniveling little weasel of a douchebagette! That's why he fit right in as KK transitioned Lucasfilm into Pukeusfilm! He even laughs like a villain! "Eee hee hee hee hee hee!"
Be a shame if society squanders the opportunity presented by so many self-identifying psychotic sociopaths!
The only Prequel I didn't care for was Phantom Menace. Just a little too campy for me. Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith were much better. The EU is the heart and soul of my love for Star Wars though. Loved it.
TPM has the best lightsaber duel though, can't argue with that!
I was born in 97 I’m a prequel baby
There are definitely only six films. I was 4 when I saw Star Wars in 1977.
My favorite way to make fun of OT purists is to say "Star Wars ended for me during the point in Empire Strikes Back when Vader looks at the screen at the Hoth shield generator and says 'That's it!'"
Lucas had some ups and downs, but I'm not about to judge who is and isn't a fan different parts of his work. Disney just bought the name, big car companies and big shoe makers buy name brands all the time and make trash under the old labels.
Been waiting on this. Hey KK! How's that Ruin Johnson trilogy coming along? 😁
Bro couldn't agree more with you about the prequels- people (like RLM- Trekkies 🤢🤮) took hating on them waaaaayyy too far, yet didn't bring the same energy to the Diznee trilogy
Rian is one of the worst, right behind Kathleen Kennedy.
Here’s the thing about the Ozymandias thing:
1) The show had been building up to it for nearly 5 seasons and so it was extremely hard to get wrong
2)Vince had full writing authority and considering people praise Ozymandias mainly for its writing, I think that’s important to remember
While obviously the directing in Ozymandias is phenomenal, as is his directing in Fly, you have to keep in mind that he’s actually a pretty good director in some aspects, the problem is that he’s a bad writer
Everything Disney puts out •improves• George’s work
The Last Jedi was a smoothbrain attempt to imitate KotOR 2 while missing KotOR 2's points and narrative
Edit: you even basically said that lol
Everything Rian Johnson made is garbled trash. How do people not see this?

ua-cam.com/video/VWqaFO6YdCY/v-deo.html You should see my Dark Empire Review. MUCH better than the Rise of Skywalker.
Dark Empire was Lucas's idea. The original pitch was that it was someone posing as Vader.
The most hated director in Hollywood. Seriously. Not kidding. 😂. Not because of some sex scandal but because of The Last Jedi.

If you gonna analyze evil: analyze USA Arrested Development and infantalization of men. Your population is in decline because of the epidemic of man babies
Subbed.
He's a band nerd that thinks he's a punk rocker. TLJ was so focused on destroying everything, ripping out the wires & salting the earth, it forgot to do much else. What even happened, what's the point of that movie?
The supposed keepers of the flame should've tossed him out at his 1st pitch. I don't know what's worse, they wanted a movie that would destroy everything or were too stupid to see that's what his direction was.
