I don't believe any creator can be held up as "sacred", I am in the camp that Lucas made more than a few mistakes with the prequels. That said, however, what is canon is canon, and ripping apart the works your series is supposedly built on is disrespectful at best, and only proves their incompetence.
Episode 1 is largely based on a fanfic written by Thomas Knoll (founder of Adobe) and presented to Lucas in the mid 90s when Adobe was contracted to add new digital effects to the 20th Anniversary Editions of the OT (I went to elementary school with the Knoll kids in the 90s and they wouldn't shut up about it). To be fair, there's interviews with Weinstein's other personal assistants that knew what was going on, and just looked the other way. I'm sure like them, she knew what was going on as well, but not only did nothing, she continued to work for him.
For The Acolyte, one of the biggest problems (and there are many), is that there's no hero. Who do we root for in this show? Osha and Mae flipped sides so many times, I couldn't keep track of who was who. Not to mention that Torbin AND the wookiee did absolutely nothing wrong. Plus... whyyyyy did the witches all die?? Oh yeah, plot reasons I guess. Either way, the writing feels very much like a first draft script.

At the high corporate level, we get the most artificial and insincere expression of the Multiculturalists views, literally skin-deep and verbally-asserted "representation" according to their arbitrary idea of who are minorities worth showing in media and entertainment. Pretty much guarantee you that most of the distinct ethnic/ethnoreligious minorities of Caucasian background (like Amish, Mormons, or even Sikhs) don't get any recognition or "representation" in these corporate projects, and in the case of Mormons in particular, often get demonized if they ever show up.

The point of KOTOR 2 especially after the Restored Content Mod is added in is to show the player the full philosophy and flaws of the sith in excursiating detail and why they're always doomed to fail and why the jedi order while flawed the idea of what a jedi should be is more important than the order or council and should be strived for. Kriea isnt wise she confident in her arogance much like the people curently running lucasfilm.
