- This is one of the top episodes of the show.
Gabriel Damon is a true actor in this scene and so is Patrick Stewart.
Jeremy is truly heartbreaking about his mother's death.
Picard's voice is close to breaking, I can hear the pain in his voice saying Marla Aster has died.
Episode: Season 3, Episode 5, The Bonding - Фільми й анімація
As much as Picard isn't a fan of kids, that moment when he takes Jeremy's hand...I'm in tears. This is the best show in the entire universe.
What about dr who
This was a turning point for Picard. He is uncomfortable around children because he feels guilty about never starting a family. He also feels guilty about Jack Crusher's death, and his unrequited romantic feelings for Beverly. That's why he's often cold towards Wesley. But this scene shows a fundamental change in Picard's perspective. TNG was about growth and progress, and overcoming limitations. I too was moved by this scene and the significance of Picard comforting this grief-stricken boy by holding his hand was not lost on me.
+Anthony Johnson not a vulcan may not yet I agree it was not well written or realistic.
Aedan Visca-lias I have never seen Dr.Who, but I didn’t know he was part of Star Trek!!!
This is an example about how outstanding an officer Picard was. He did not like the idea of children being on the Enterprise, but when was required to tell Jeremy about his mother's death, he did it, because he knew his duties as a Starfleet Officer overrode his personal convictions.
When he said that on the Enterprise no one is alone, that was a reminder that everyone has duties to each other.
Man Gabriel Damon omg ❤️
I have seen this episode maybe a dozen times, and my eyes have never been dry at the end. Mom dies, then comes back, then goes away, then comes back... I spent a year after Grandma died waking up from vivid dreams of her coming over to visit and saying it was all some kind of mix-up. Sometimes I didn't know what to believe when I was awake. Her being dead didn't compute. I was almost 12 - Jeremy's age. Maybe that's why this one gets to me.
Same way with my grandmother and mother.
For a society where there’s nothing unusual about people living to Jeanne Calment’s age, they sure do have a lot of young children who’ve lost parents. Eight of the nine regular cast members of TNG, by my count, had at least one die before reaching adulthood. (Geordi was the ninth.)
Sad that he's "all alone" but now he can become a newsie
no B.S. just told him flat out.
love Picard.
Gabriel Damon Was So Cute and So Adorable that time and also in Robocop 2 when he playing Hob 🥰🥰🥰
That kid was in Robocop 2 I'm positive.
James Carmichael And Littlefoot from LBT.
The sight of his arm vibrating when he fired the machinegun in Robocop 2 was disturbing.
also, Gabriel Damon was in the "Iron Maze" . def his best role
Also newsies
@Michael Richmond it was still a good movie not as good as the first one but I also enjoyed the second one
Spot Conlon 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
You aren't alone you'll always have Wesley. All of us will always have Wesley.
But Wesley was sooooooo unresistably cute 😍
Resistance was truly futile.
both wheaton and damon were in don bluth movies, and Damon played two characters whose mothers died
The more I think about this episode ever if I forget it at times, This will be one of my favorite episodes from TNG.
This episode made me cry so much
Picard: I am no good with children, I just don't know what to say or do, they make me uncomfortable.
Also Picard: Jeremy. On the starship Enterprise...*gently touches the boys hand, speaking softly but firmly.* No one is alone. No one.
caityhollowell it is called "The Bonding" and I remember crying my head off when I watched it the first time.
Gabriel Damon returned to Earth and settled in Detroit to become a evil drug dealer in Robotcop II
The pain of loss.
Spot Conlon!
3:13 Look at Jeremy's ears.
The lady looked so much like mother gothel
THIS is the episode where TNG stopped being a villain of the week show and grew up to be something better.
A little less eye-liner next time Wesley, jeezus
I can't stop laughing now.
tbh thought he was a women for .2 seconds.
what else of mommy's is he wearing?
he looks familiar form movie robocop
Adis Babaca RoboCop 2? That kid who wished to be the king of those red color drug dealers?
Also the person shot Robotcop in the beginning
Look at my precious cinnamon bun!!!!
he is lucky hobs didn't open fire with his box sub machine gun.
the DEB M21
You look a little out of breath bitch.
I should have seen this coming. It’s deja vu with Littlefoot all over again.
yes he played Hob in Robocop 2 and voiced LittleFoot in "Land Before Time."
i knew he was in robocop 2 yeey ^^
Ahhhhh
The TNG writers had a fetish for naming kids Jeremy/Jeremiah.
lolz wasn't that kid in Robocop?
yes, Robocop 2
How did Jeremy's blue eyes turn in to brown? XDD
I rewatched this clip and they looked the same each time the camera focused on Jeremy's face.
Did the boy's mother wear a red shirt during the mission?
thats the only reason why they cared. however if she wore a red shirt we wouldnt give a flying fuck
Red shirts were switched with yellow in tng.
Kid was an evil little shit in Robocop 2
Little Foot! 😆😆😆
see, watching this eipsode, knowing that the kid is none other than the original voice of littlefoot, I'm like you totally wasted this character what's with the calm acceptance of his mother's death? would you accept the same from Bambi?
