Best character on the show. I'm younger (2001), so showing this show to friends is difficult. I try to tell them that the gesticulation, along with a personality is what makes it gut laughter funny. They never understand
Frazier’s meltdowns were always hilarious, there was another time when there was some chaotic scene and Daphne threw laundry off the balcony which cause a car accident below. There was a moment of silence, then Frasier came stomping out of his room and said “Fine! I guess if I want a cup of tea I’ll have to get it myself!” Completely oblivious to what just happened
Don't forget that episode where he had the flu and was trying to rest. Then the others get into an argument, screaming and yelling in his apartment. Then he comes out, hair all frazzled, and yells "Is Seattle experiencing A PROZAC SHORTAGE?!"
My mother absolutely loved "Frasier." She sat in her rocking chair and just roared with laughter with each episode. The show brought her a lot of entertainment in her final years.

Of course, Golden Girls and Modern Family are my other two favorites. The only new comedy I watch on actual television today is Bob Hearts Abishola.
One of my favorite lines was during an episode when Niles was helping Daphne zip up the zipper on the back of her dress. He got his tie hopelessly caught in the zipper which caused him to be hunched over in back of her. Frasier came in the room and said drily, "Niles. You seem to have gotten something on your tie." Some of the best writing on TV and delivered to perfection.
The one where Niles had to iron his clothes in Frasier's living room--alone, no words, priceless! One of the funniest bits I've seen ever. Thanks-to ALL! TS
My favorite was when Niles was in the Christmas play and was allergic to the hay in the manger......standing in the bathroom with a long robe on and sniffing his nasal inhaler.....cracked me up.....
@@TomLloyd-18 For me the whole Niles/Daphne business was annoying from the moment he met her. The show was better than jokes about a married guy pining hopelessly for a girl who was millions of miles from his orbit ... staring at her caboose and smelling her hair like a high school sophomore, giggling every time she said something that could be taken two ways. It was easy and cheap writing. I don't know what was worse, their "Will They or Won't They" nonsense (we already had *loads* of that on the first five years of "Cheers"!) or when the show brought in the character of Donny the lawyer, who seemed like someone who lived under a bridge, and yet Daphne suddenly falls for him-- naturally breaking Niles' heart so that viewers pity him even more. Ugh. As good as the series "Frasier" was, over its eleven seasons it relied entirely too much on transparently manipulative story telling.
@@eduardo_corrochio I totally agree. I think there was the opportunity for Niles to go down the suppressed gay man avenue - especially after his tortured, arguably asexual marriage to Maris. I'm always just blows away by the writing in this show. There's so many times when they could have stopped a joke and still been funny, but they took it just a step further and made it hilarious. And the casting was perfect, even for the one-off characters. To this day, the phrase "GUNPLAY IN MY LIVING ROOM" is something that sparks laughter from my whole family.
I love Kelsey Grammer’s deep indignant voice with the “GUN PLAY IN THE LIVING ROOM”. I can recall another episode where Frasier used that same voice to ask his dad “since when do I BRING YOU WOMEN? This was when his dad mistaken thinks he invited a prospective date over for him rather than Frasier.
No, never would’ve worked. Frasier was funny because they created characters around him that made him funnier, you take one out and you lose that balance. That’s why you never saw an Andy Griffith spin-off for Barney Fife
there will *NEVER* be another show like Frasier! John Mahoney, David Hyde Pierce, Kelsey Grammer, Peri Gilpin, even Moose the dog! the acting, the lines, the delivery, just, mwah! **chefs kiss**
One of the many things I miss sharing with my mother - now that she's gone. We would often make a nightly treat of watching Frasier over and over together. Maybe she and I just quietly possessed the best senses of humor of our family. Yep, I'm going with that. 😊🌹💔
ONE of the many things I love about David Hyde Pierce's acting is that he is the absolute master at the physical part of acting too. Like, he's already at the top with his delivery and mannerisms, and is an A class actor, but he always blows my mind with the physical aspects. I.E. the scene after the starter's pistol went off, the episode where he wanted to shove his former bully, now plummer's head in the toilet and almost kept getting caught, and the episode where they are at the Spa in the Relaxation Grotto and he's wrapped up like a mummy. He and Frasier want to go to the the "Platinum Room" and Niles gets practically delirious with seeing what's behind the door and his acting of him making himself get off of that stretcher, filly wrapped up and then he walks as fast as he can on his toes (think of Scooby Doo sneaking around) before Frasier restrains him. Those are just three examples, but that aspect (like I said among many) makes him so much funnier than the script and delivery already are.
I absolutely love this show. The writing was genius, and the cast was superb. Such believable characters and realistic situations they found themselves in. There’s so much depth and dimension in the different personalities. I laugh at every episode and am touched too, in many of them. Definitely one of the best sitcoms of all time.
I know what you mean. I laughed hysterically but was usually so touched at the end that I actually had tears leaking from my eyes because it was so touching how they showed their love for each other. Just the best show ever.
I loved that the writers gave the audience enough credit to understand a lot of the terms that were used on the show. The casting crew were a perfect mix that created one of the best comedies on television in the last 30 years.
Kelsey Grammer‘s line readings are a master class in finding the funny. He could make a throwaway line of dialogue into the most memorable quote from an entire season. I am always in awe of how brilliant a comedic actor he is.
Both in my top 10 list also Barney Miller, Sanford and Son, All In The Family, Fresh Prince of Bel Air, Everybody Loves Raymond, The Golden Girls, The Odd Couple, Cheers etc.
For how much they tried to make Niles a younger version of his brother, he became the breakout character and his subtle differences to Frasier clearly made him the most interesting character in the show, He was snooty and blue blooded like his brother, but he also had a bit of Marty in him as well!
I agree, Niles became the heart of the show. Amazing that DHP could make Niles’ crush on Dane something so sweet and touching, it would have been creepy with a less talented actor.
This brilliant series is a big part of why I have Hulu. Frasier is always funny, no matter how many times I've seen the episodes. Something truly special happened when this show was created. Greatest spinoff ever. And the original show Cheers was no slouch itself!
"Well, l'm sorry. Was l snippy? I didn't realize it was too much to ask for there not to be gun play in my living room!" The sarcasm meter should be off the scale with that response. I can't blame him. Family will drive you nuts oftentimes. LMAO. 😆🤣
I used to watch it with my daughter. She didn't understood most of it . But Frazier tantrums makes her laugh so hard. She was 8 at the time. Good memories.
To Bebe: "Stop! Not one more kookey word. Your tongue could open a wine bottle." 😂 When Frasier tried convincing Roz not to sign with Bebe, Roz replied, "it's not like she worships the devil." Frasier yells back, "she doesn't have to he worships her" I died laughing 😂
And the PHYSICAL comedy - when Frasier sneezes at work and falls to the floor, signaling Roz; or when Niles has his hand in the garbage disposal and Frasier grinds the coffee....... I can't get enough of that show!
"You outfit him with a megaphone" gets me every time! 🤣🤣
Maybe the greatest line of the entire series.

One of the many things I miss sharing with my mother - now that she's gone. We would often make a nightly treat of watching Frasier over and over together. Maybe she and I just quietly possessed the best senses of humor of our family. Yep, I'm going with that. 😊🌹💔
My mom and I are doing classic TV binges every weekend. We've done Cheers, Frasier, 24, and we're in the middle of M.A.S.H now. All great stuff.
Oh and the fire scene when he is ironing is another great example!
The more you look at this aspect of his acting the more you see.@@dobryden77
Valentine’s Day episode. His block is hilarious. No words, I don’t think, all physical comedy. He deserved all his Emmys.
My all time favourite show. A classic that will never go out of style.
Fraser is hilarious when he shouts
i love how quickly Frasier gets over the gun going off. He just goes back to his old droll self and asked them to leave. Love this show!
He's too tired to care
Martin - "Maybe I can catch up to Daphne in the Park!..." Niles - "I'll cover you!" HaHa!!!!
I didn't realize it was too much to ask that there not be gunplay in my living room! Lol
Sept 2018.. sorry but didn't want to be the 70 like
"Eddie, listen carefully. By the time this day is up, one of us is going to sleep"
Watch Frasier every day can't help it!🎶✌️😄
Me too!!! This am I watched a two Mrs Cranes. Watch it! Just brilliant comedy
Bloody hell! I just replied to myself 😂🤣🤣🤣😭WOW🤣🤣🤣
You outfit him with a megaphone 😂😂😂
Hello Christine, How are you doing?
LMFAO!!...I love it when Frasier yells..
I've seen this a 1,000 times but it still makes me laugh. Thanks. I needed that.
Such a FANTASTIC show!!!! Each actor played off each other perfectly!! Always hilarious!
I was able to meet Eddie once... beautiful dog and very well trained.💙
Eddie was my inspiration to get a Jack Russell Terrier. I ended up gettimg two, I love them so much.
Awww lucky!
My favorite sitcom of
All time.
Best ever.
Perfect cast
I like how they tried to hold back the laughter after Fraiser mentioned the dog being outfitted with a megaphone.
I LOVE how he raises his eyebrows when he pulls the gun out and goes: "one of these"
"a starters pistol Oh I dont think so doctor Crane but thanks for the thought hahahahaha"
Lol he’s trying to be 007 or something.
Never fails to make me laugh. I love Frasier it makes me feel like I do wrapped up in a cosy duvet. Eddie and Martin R.I.P
Always liked this show! The dad was the best! You felt for him!😂
I loved his Dad. Just great show.
lol anyone whis worked a fulltime graveyard shift can relate.
I've been working graveyard for nearly 9 years, so I can relate lol.
Definetly
Absolutely
Mike Hawk you're goddamn right
I’ve worked the graveyard shift at State Parks, you can’t even imagine the crazy things that go on.
Best Show Memories! Thanks, I needed that.
Love this clip! This was like the more manly Frasier from Cheers. I love that guy.
One of the best shows ever.
The writing and acting were absolutely top tier.
I loved that the writers gave the audience enough credit to understand a lot of the terms that were used on the show. The casting crew were a perfect mix that created one of the best comedies on television in the last 30 years.
One of my favourite Frasier scenes.
Kelsey Grammer‘s line readings are a master class in finding the funny. He could make a throwaway line of dialogue into the most memorable quote from an entire season. I am always in awe of how brilliant a comedic actor he is.
Frasier and Seinfeld the two best sitcoms ever
You....you're my kind of guy.
Everybody Loves Raymond
@@peateargriffin7593 was never a fan of that. Just couldn't get into it at all
Home improvement
Frasier....One of the best shows ever made! ❤
Who is looking at this in 2020,Love from Houston Texas 🥰
Hello Lisa, How are you doing?
This show never gets old......Brilliant.
This brilliant series is a big part of why I have Hulu. Frasier is always funny, no matter how many times I've seen the episodes. Something truly special happened when this show was created. Greatest spinoff ever. And the original show Cheers was no slouch itself!
Excellent show, it set the standard very high.
"Well, l'm sorry. Was l snippy? I didn't realize it was too much to ask for there not to be gun play in my living room!" The sarcasm meter should be off the scale with that response. I can't blame him. Family will drive you nuts oftentimes. LMAO. 😆🤣
The funniest segment in the entire series. Brilliantly written and acted. 😂
RIP John Mahoney!!
I still love this show...they are still hilarious no matter how many times I watch!
Greatest show ever!! Hilarious. Still watch the reruns nightly! 😂
'I'll cover you" :D
No matter how often I watch the repeats, always hilarious
Best thing that ever came out of Cheers! Kelsey is comedy genius
Great cast, superb writing, excellent delivery. One of my favorite shows. Can't wait for a come back.
"I didn't realize it was too much to ask that there not be GUNPLAY in my LIVING ROOM!"
I used to watch it with my daughter. She didn't understood most of it . But Frazier tantrums makes her laugh so hard. She was 8 at the time. Good memories.
To Bebe: "Stop! Not one more kookey word. Your tongue could open a wine bottle." 😂
When Frasier tried convincing Roz not to sign with Bebe, Roz replied, "it's not like she worships the devil." Frasier yells back, "she doesn't have to he worships her" I died laughing 😂
And the PHYSICAL comedy - when Frasier sneezes at work and falls to the floor, signaling Roz; or when Niles has his hand in the garbage disposal and Frasier grinds the coffee....... I can't get enough of that show!
I wish you would do entire show. I love Frasier. I could watch this show a million times and not get tired of it
How did they get through this scene with straight faces. I'M DYING!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
In the rehearsal you can see the three of them laughing and Kelsey was still reading from his script.
Or any scene for that matter?
I caught John cracking up once or twice.
