I think this is worth mentioning. There are a lot of post game variants of enemies. Most can be found in late game areas, but there is one that can only be found in one place during the main game. The gorechimera can be found replacing the chimera spawn in the waterfall cave. After you complete the corrination quest this monster will start to spawn. Meaning you don't have to wait till post game to farm black freakish manes for armor and weapon upgrades.
A second gorechimera spawns in the volcano, after you defeat the drake and wait for a couple of days or so. I think they keep interchanging like that, because it's always drake, then gorechimera.
The Medusa thing works with any weapon that has a "critical blow" mechanic. I usually use it with Fighter, but a Warrior with a Greatsword and a Mystic Spearhand can also do it.
With the medusa head, it doesn't have to be a heavy attack, a light attack while it's asleep will decapitate it in 1 hit still. The barred doors being broken by enemies is 100% and intentional method of opening some of them, there's one cave called the "Hidden Cavern" and there are stout undead sitting behind 2 sets of barred doors and the only way to break the bars is by shooting the stout undead with a ranged attack or breaking it using the magick archer's ricochet (which you likely won't have the first time you're there). Your pawns don't attack through the doors to avoid them killing enemies before they can break the door. That's also the only way to get the ancestral chamber shortcut doors open. One caveat to storing the berries for you next playthrough, there is kind of spoilers for anyone who hasn't gotten the true ending If you have anything that can rot in your storage (food/medusa heads/certain flowers), it will rot in the month long period between when you stab yourself on the dragon and wake up in the unmoored world... If you run around and fill up on the fruits in the unmoored world you can stock up the storage with them and they'll be there on NG+, but people could waste a lot of time getting the fruits that will just end up rotting in storage if they go to the unmoored world before NG+.
