    Great video presentation on temple points Joe. Naturalness equals a good hair transplant. We see a lot of bad temple point work or the complete absence of temple point work. Definitely one area of hair transplantation that makes a massive difference in framing the face when done well, respecting the observations made. Thanks for sharing!

    Finally a video about temple points. Most HT vids only do hairline and crown. But the most tricky area is temple point. And it can make an even bigger impact unless you have severe hairline recession. More vids on temple points!

      I've been formulating a new video (in my mind) about not only temple points but the general overall flow of how hair grows on a typical scalp, and this would include temple points. The goal is to help people understand why some hairlines are designed the way they are vs. other designs.

    I was aware of this, but however, I never considered the placement of the curvature. That much was new to me. Very important with those temple points.

    Very informative video. I wish anyone thinking of surgery would see these videos first.
    I'm not in need of any hair transplant any time soon, and hopefully Propecia prevents hair loss long enough so I would never need surgery. But I am curious about something.
    So the temple points have this curvature to the hair, and they have sort of a lighter feel to them which sort of corresponds to lower grafts needed. Could an argument be made that the hairs at the lower back of the head be the most suitable hairs to transplant for temple points? I feel like just hy touching my hair that those two regions feel similar. Am I wrong to think this?

    • @hairtransplantchannel
      @hairtransplantchannel  Рік тому +1

      Not at all, you're not wrong. This is a logical correlation but the problem is that the hairs you're referring to, "nape hairs", are not DHT resistant. When they are, they tend to be on patients that have no hair loss, thus they aren't needed to begin with:(

    It should be stated that Temple transplants are a fantastic low cost/high reward for extreme norwood recession candidates and hair system users. System users would have incredible results of a temple transplant for a more natural look. Anyone who uses systems would agree that the one drawback to them is the temples.
    Thank you for the vid!

    • @hairtransplantchannel
      @hairtransplantchannel  Рік тому +1

      Thank you, and yes; they are a necessity for system users, for sure. I've often spoken about how hair transplant results without temple point reconstruction, can make even the rest surgical outcome look like a wig. This depends on the height placement, of course, as higher hairlines are not in such need. Thank you for your comment.

    Might be a controversial view but IMO most doctors, including some well known names, aren't creating what I'd call 'realistic' hairlines - i.e. the shape of the hairline and how it transitions via the lateral hump to the temporal peak area. Joe is an exception to the rule, his hairline is one of the best I've ever seen but in today's culture of low, 'straight across' hairlines it would probably be seen as 'too recessed' when in fact it's a realistic natrual adult male hairline. The only doctors that I've seen that do hairlines that are conservative enough for my personal tastes are Dr Ball and most of Hasson & Wong's work.

      We need to be mindful then and comment on the design stage with the doctors. But I think most doctors are very good with the 'natural' mature hairline and dont over do it. Of course it happens but I think its in the lower numbers

I'm puzzled as I followed post op instructions to a tee and when all scabs fell off, it looked like a full hairline. Still any chance it could improve or is this likely it?

    @The hair transplant channel Who are the best clinics/doctors regarding triangles temples points?

  • @MarkJones-si2bb
    @MarkJones-si2bb Рік тому +1

    Do you have a current status on PRP vs ACell + PRP, and other options? I like the idea of ACell extending the timeline for return visits.

    • @hairtransplantchannel
      @hairtransplantchannel  Рік тому +1

      None. The industry is a Hellscape of zero standards, zero regulation, and anyone can claim they're offering PRP by drawing your blood, throwing it into a hamster powered centrifuge held together with duct tape, and inject the results of the spinning back into your scalp and it would technically still be PRP. Nothing has changed in this regard so anytime someone is interested in PRP, they should find clinics that talk about it, don't oversell it, and have demonstrated consistently with their documentation. Clear improvements must be seen else it may not be worth it.

    • @MarkJones-si2bb
      @MarkJones-si2bb Рік тому

      @@hairtransplantchannel Agreed. I'm new to the PRP area, and recently stumbled onto the ACell addition. I am encouraged that several successful, long-term HT doctors offer the sane combo. I believe I read that 22 of 24 studies revealed that patients were satisfied with PRP, and results could be a 15-20% improvement in hair density and thickness.
      One highly accredited doctor mentioned another macro point. These treatments and medications aren't merely additive (she used the term 'multiplicative'?). So if item A helps 10%, and item B helps 10%, the combined effect might be a 30% improvement.
      Side note. I was recently in Walmart and saw a young man, mid 20s, with what appeared to be a .75" thick line in the front scalp of transplanted hair. When he turned around, the back of his head was shaved. I shook my head. His recession was so minimal, probably unnoticed to most. But he probably put 2,000 grafts in that .75 inch area with no thought of the future. These young guys should learn women love Kevin Costner ans Sean Connery!

    Can you get a hair transplant if you have Alopecia in spots? Also, I have very thin eyebrows can we transplant hair to my eye brows?

    • @hairtransplantchannel
      @hairtransplantchannel  Рік тому

      Alopecia "in spots" oftentimes resolves on it's own. This is Alopecia Areata. It can also be treated with corticosteroid injections and more extreme measures by a JAK inhibitor but those carry their own potential for strong side effects. A dermatologist that has a lot of experience with hair should help.

    Hello, I want to ask if you have any sources or videos on hair transplants that aim for more feminine/female look... As a transfem person, I'm looking for hair transplant which can achieve that, and it's extremely focused on hairline, so I have the hardest time looking for clinics. I never had any hair loss, and probably never will have since I'm on* HRT, but I was born with horrible hairline that looks very receded.
    Edit: I meant to say I AM on HRT

    • @hairtransplantchannel
      @hairtransplantchannel  Рік тому

      Not specifically, no. I do have some videos where I’m highlighting doctors that have “made the cut” so to speak and are members of my website. In particular, I recall female hairline cases from Dr. Yaker, Dr. Ball, and Hattingen Hair in Switzerland. Dr. Ball in particular has a former celebrity patient that was in need of repair and the outcome was spectacular.

    First what I dont understand why do you still promote this guy? 1. I had sent him 2 or 3 PM's? 2. The skype consult was a diaster, because he invited me, but he couldnt keep him self on the appoint in 2021 and later he called me 2022 in march? 3. Many patients as 2 or 3 claims the never hear anything from him 1 or 2 weeks he is also done? 4. Now he has a personal advisor who take longer time, before anwsering mails, after before he was anwsering in the e-mails and he has no personal advisor. 5. When he was in the old clinic a germany men came to him and asking for pictures, the guy on the video was bored he was not in mood, he said he had a other appointment he was going in some city there and he no time, the had a consult booking at the time and the day. Many complains comes I hope the guy in the video has been change and he is egoist and arrogant. I hear the cut down the phone so the patient cant call. I had to choice satya and the doctor from there came professional all over the other clinics and there the pick up my case very fast.
