    They basically make a small aperture first and afterwards insert the hair follicles.

    Hello there, thanks very much for the video. But I just have a couple of questions that you could maybe answer. I was thinking of going with an FUE transplant. If these hairs are taken from the back of the head, what is the liklihood of these actually falling out again if that makes sense? Also I'm aware that you receive mediciation post op, which is to help with further hairloss. In your experience does the medication help patients? AS I have been taking Finisteride to help with further hairloss for the last 4-5 months and it has literally done nothing to combat the hairloss. Also with the FUE would the scars be very noticeable? For example I would get a fade haircut on the back and sides, so would any scarring be noticeable? Would very much apprecaite a response on this.

    I just had an FUE done and I wonder if I can get an FUT for my 2nd procedure. What’s the reason you recommend FUT first? If I get FUT and FUE, either way don’t I have the same number of grafts and even if I depleted my FUT strip with an FUE beforehand it doesn’t decrease my grafts because they’re already on my hairline? And the individual grafts that were extracted from non-strip donor area were going to be extracted after a 2nd FUE anyway? So it seems like it shouldn’t matter what you start with. Or am I misunderstanding something?

    • @satyaskinhairsolutions
      @satyaskinhairsolutions Рік тому

      You are right, if you are working on the hairline, FUE would give you better density & natural look. If you are working in the crown area for your 1st surgery, then FUT can be a better choice, as FUE would give you better hairline grafts, which you can save for future if needed.
      Anyway the number remains the same either ways. 1st FUT, followed by FUE is ok, but sometimes the hair can get pulled because of the scar of FUT, in the adjoining areas leading to higher transection rates of FUE, depending upon the extent of scarring.
      1st FUE followed by FUT, however poses the same challenge at microscopic level. But here you have an advantage that surgeon can visualise the grafts under microscope as FUT is not a blind procedure like FUE.
      You can draw your conclusions.

    • @51MontyPython
      @51MontyPython 2 роки тому +2

      I'm afraid your question is more easily asked than answered, unfortunately. It's not an exact science, separating the wheat from the chaff, so to speak. Of course I would look at the doctors themselves, through their own marketing (though very cynically, taking it all with a grain of salt, remembering that they are after all essentially salesmen), but would tend to focus more on consumer reviews/reports, to the extent that you can find them. The best doctors do obviously tend to charge more, but just because one is more expensive than another does not necessarily mean they are actually better. So, it's not an easy thing, as I said. Wish it was, though. Research, research, research, is my main advice.

    I've had 9 hair transplants starting in 2005. I have three ear-to-ear strip scars and FUE scarring. I was not taking Finasteride so I'd have surgery, lose hair, have another surgery. I now have a pretty full looking head of hair but I regret having the scars. However, it did lead me to my current profession as a Scalp Micropigmentation clinic owner/artist.

    How much would FUE cost for hairline?

    Thank you so much for your videos. It helps a lot. I would like to ask why FUT scars are always a strange line. Do doctors only want to graft from a straight line?

    • @51MontyPython
      @51MontyPython 2 роки тому

      From what I understand (and I am NOT an expert), a graft is a single patch of hair, so naturally you would want the area (which will be scarred) to be as small and minimal as possible, so of course wouldn't want to do it over a large single area. Hope that made sense.

      @@51MontyPython Instead of long straight line, why don't they do smaller line different area?

    Are you aware of the literature on hair survival rates and how you see more success with hair follicules that are not individually separated from the unit i.e a large punch biospsy with multiple hairs will last longer than if those hairs were seperated out indiviually. It seems like If true, what would be the implications of that for FUT vs FUE, if any?

    • @drgarylinkov

      FUE success rates have been shown to be comparable to FUT

    I find it kind of funny that the pedal unit called the Wah, looks exactly like the Wah Wah pedal for guitarists, which makes the classic "wah wah" sound, Jimi Hendrix made the Wah Wah a popular thing among guitarists. I even owned one back in the 80's. Do you think the creators of this Wah System was also a guitarist and used the idea of the wah wah pedal as a vehicle to drive this apparatus?

    Hi Doctor, the FUT scar can be camouflaged by a tattoo? The micro pigmentation must be very often but the tattoo is done only once, right? Is there a problem with choosing a tattoo? Thank you very much!

      It’s possible. Most people want a more temporary solution in case they don’t like it.
