Such an enlightning conversation without the steroids of bravado and insults. Refreshing. By the wau, never imagined Modi will unite Swamy and Sibal. He is definitely not a divisive figure. If anything, he is able to unite even the opponents. Having said that, what they are talking is absolutely correct and should be taken to the right forum (the Supreme Court). They are capable of doing so.

@@dizitals I think there is some big dhandli going on here. The information the public wanted was something, whereas what they are getting is something else. The whole issue was about finding out the names of the organizations who donated large amounts money to the BJP, under duress (ED raids) or otherwise. It would be based on this information that the citizens would decide whom to vote for in the 2024 elections. What is the use of this information if the public is not told who gave how much donation to which party?
Today's judgment should also have included the directive that the Election Commission will not announce or take any action about the 2024 elections until one week after all the information regarding the bonds being made available on the Commission's website and accessible to all users. It should also have included the directive that the Commission would not announce the elections until all the vacancies are filled using proper procedures.
This whole charade is like a very inattentive and highly retarded four-year old who forgets most of the important tasks it was assigned and only does them once it is reminded and that too only in bits and pieces and again forgets most of the important ones. Another analogy that comes to mind is you are trying to push a car up an incline and it pushes you back to where you began as soon as you stop pushing it.

EVM is the most imp issue. I don't know To whom my vote has gone ?
So far it's impossible to tamper EVMs after the VVPAT system was introduced. If EVMs could be tampered there wold have been BJP everywhere. Provided nothing goes wrong during the counting day.
I feel ECI should also come up with new technologies like blockchain which makes data manipulation also impossible.
If SBI don't disclose this report. It is duty of Supreme Court should postpone the election until the report come to the public for fair election. Or put the president rule untill the report comes.

Very important discussion about the future of India is raised.. Politicians and independent organisations has to change and do the right thing by serving the nation and it's people not serving themselves and for their ambitions and selfishness.
One of the best open discussions I have seen in years. My salute to each one of you eminent personalities for participation in this serious discussion. Whereas the matters discussed were indeed deep and thought provoking, the key issue raised by Kapil Sibal was that there is a very serious degradation of the entire political system in our Country which citizens need to desperately be aware of and take remedial measures to save our Country from certain doom. More and more criminals are joining politics if we ignore the alarming trends. I think the Country should vote for the one party who will promise to revamp the entire polity of the Nation in five years and do it.
Why companies don't donate poor people directly instead to political parties, they don't because they have corruption mind from political parties is open fact and any intellectual person can understand psychology behind ?

No individual should be allowed to contest, let the people vote for the simbel of the political party, according to vote share representative should be elected.
Instead of giving money to individual parties, the Election Commission can organize several campaigns where all candidates must participate in debates. This allows them to introduce themselves and share their plans if elected. The number of campaigns can vary based on the type of election. These debates would be broadcast live on TV. This approach would solve many problems. Nowadays, a significant amount of time is wasted during election campaigns. Instead, this time could be used to address important issues such as dealing with China and other nations. We spend a lot of money unnecessarily on moving people from one place to another for these campaigns, which needs to stop immediately.

Mr. Kapil, I fully agree with you that the money donated as per an act/law/rule whatsoever, which later on proved by the court as illegal, then money to be returned back even if its spent by the recipient. Then we should list out how many such incidents happened in India after independence and should make a clubbed petition and urge Supreme Court to a call. I know in such cases lawyer fraternity will gain from la carta petitions, but I would urge you, for a noble cause, our thoughtful lawyer fraternity will not constrain themselves in petty money matters and should feel proud for snowballing a political donation matter into a greater benefits yielding case for the Indians. Hope you will live upto such big job vis-a-vis responsibility.
