There was a common criticism in the video, about the underperforming bread in Arby's sandwiches. Moisture retention and texture were the points to improve upon. The Mid-Atlantic regional chain 'Jerry's Subs and Pizza' never had a problem with that, in my opinion. However, Jerry's did not fare well during the COVID economic crisis. Arby's could pick up Jerry's losses and copy something about the bread. I mean, I miss the philly cheesesteaks at Jerry's, and it's been mostly closed around me in 2020. It's not a bad thing if Arby's could do a smaller version of the same item for a national menu. It has also become hard to find potato wedges in fast food, someone should pick up on that.
Best: The potato cakes (they're better than the curly fries to me) and their limited time mac and cheese. Worst: I hate to say it: the sweet potato waffle fries. I wanted to like these. But they haven't perfected the texture on it--it's too soggy. Also, I disagree with your low ranking on the cherry turnover. Yes, it's messy, but I like the flakiness and icing of this dessert.

I just tried Arby's Reuben yesterday and I thought it was pretty good too. Make sure you ask for "Fresh" when ordered. Thousand Island is acceptable for Reubens in my opinion. It tastes just as good if made at home or a restaurant with TI.

Because alot of people think the roast beef is just roast beef. It's not it's the left over meat that comes in frozen in bags and when defrozen it became beef jello
i dont care what anyone says the Roast beef sandwiches are the best there are. All you need is a little horsey sauce and you have a great sandwich. Ive never been a curley fries type of girl. i actually like they finally added regular fries to their menu.
I’m so glad the beef and cheddar was too on this list and the mozzarella sticks are the best out of any fast food place!!! My only complaint of Arby’s is that sometimes the roast beef is not sliced thin some crappy employees rushing there jobs and cutting it think so save time!!! It really changes the taste of the sandwich when it’s not razor thin like it should be!!!!
Apparently the franchise holders have leeway as to what and how they serve menu items. For instance, the franchise holder for almost all of the Arby’s in the Richmond, VA metro area makes the traditional beef & cheddar WITHOUT the “red ranch” sauce found on the original sandwich.
When I was growning up, the BnC we used to get never had the Arby's sauce on it. Just the cheese sauce and meat. Every place I've been to as an adult adds the Arby's sauce, and the cloying sweetness just doesn't mesh well with the cheese sauce and onion bun.
I've watched many of these videos and I have come to the conclusion they're working to boost McDonalds?? It seems they have a soft spot for anything they have and are extremely critical of every other fast food restaurant, especially Burger King. Hell, if you've seen their videos for them, they've technically had them closing up shop for the last couple years.
My go to from Arby's is usually 2 beef n cheddars, a side of fries, a side of cheese sticks and a drink with honey mustard and bbq sauce on the side. Sometimes will include some cookies as well.
Arbys may be my favorite fast food chain. However anyone in the virginia-maryland-dc area near a Roy Rogers restaurant should really try their roast beef sandwiches.
I eat lunch at Arby's nearly every day. (1) Trust me: put the Bronco Berry sauce on the original roast beef sandwich and you're in heaven. (2) The reuben is delicious. (3) You are dead on about the Loaded Italian -- could have been a great sandwich if they improved the bread. (4) The Buffalo Chicken sandwich is the best in the fast-food world. (5) The milk shakes are simply the best in the industry.
Great video. I use to work at Arbys, in High school. Yes, decades ago. I remember slicing the meat with a slicer, so thin. They use to actually weigh the meat of every sandwich back then, erroring on the side of the customer. You are right on about your review of their food. But different tastes might think different. The Gyro is probably the best, mystery meat with standing. The basic Roast Beef has become dry and to chewy, in my opinion. Liked it....
Arby's has an Off-the-Menu, menu. Try the Super. It's what everyone ordered in the 70's. A good Manager will know the Super and happily serve it. There are other items, too. Enjoy.
I worked at Arby's back in the late 80's for about 2 weeks, maybe 3. I couldn't stand my boss or co-workers, but I loved the Employee Discounted (or was it Free?) lunch break! Its been about 4 decades and, when the craving hits, the only thing I ever get at any Arby's is Classic Beef n Cheddar. I have never, ever tried anything else on their menu and honestly I doubt I ever will...wait, the coffee shake 😳 I'll give that a try, someday.
I absolutely Dis-Agree with your assessment of Arby's Reuben sandwich except I do think it's a bit over priced. I don't give a Flying Monkey's Butt about being "Authentic", I like how it taste and if it wasn't so expensive I'd buy it more often.
Their chick tenders and nuggets are great, meaty and not overcooked. The beef brisket on warm bun is huge and outstanding. Thick pile of tender sliced brisket with melted gouda cheese, mayo and barbecue sauce make it mouth watering. The jalapeno chicken bacon wrap and the chicken bacon ranch wrap with their full flavor wrap is outstanding. So big I make two meals out of it. Love them both. Disagree about the jalapeno bites with the bronco berry sauce.
Narrator states that the Reuben is made with russian dressing she is wrong. The dressing is actually dependant on where it is made. Most places i have cooked at have used 1000 island dressing. Also the cherry turnover is flaky cause it is made with puffed pastry. By the way i have worked for Arby's for almost 7 yrs and even though this woman is entitled to her opinions i am highly offended by how she just slams items that are extremely popular items.
I strongly disagree with the Rueben Sandwich rank and description. I think it's great. Better than the Penn Station Rueben Sub, for sure. The jalapeño bites are also great. The problem with Arby's is that they no longer offer potato cakes. That was half the reason to go there.
Used to have on their menu an " Arby's Super Roast beef"... Tomatoes, lettuce Arby's sauce...you can order it off menu...but now it's a small little "slider" type sandwich.. was beast head and shoulders over a big Mac or BK whopper
The absolutely best sandwich at Arby's is the beef and cheddar, followed by their chicken sandwich, followed by their Greek gyro although sometimes the gyros sometimes soggy, and their fish sandwich is also excellent.
when it is available I always buy the orange cream shake. I am going to try the smokehouse brisket and vanilla shake after watching this video. I usually have the classic beef and cheddar, sometimes double meat.
I wish that they would still include the Angus steak on the Meat mountain sandwich, it's not the same without it. But I understand that it was discontinued because of cost issues.
Um, no mention at all of the Chicken Cordon Bleu?! That's my absolute favorite item from them. And the regular Roast Beef with Arby's sauce will always be a classic go-to, although the sauce is 100% what makes it so.
I love Arby's! Cut them down all you want. That won't change. Some of the arguments make no sense...flaky turnovers too flaky? That's how I love them. Meat mountain sandwich is heaven on a bun, along with their reuben, brisket sandwiches, gyros, loaded Italian...you get the point.
I typically order the Beef and Cheddar or the French dip combo. Sometimes if I want to mix things up, I’d go with the buffalo chicken sandwich and loaded potato bites. But whatever the main choice would be, I always like finishing off with a cherry turnover. 😊

The jalapeno chicken bacon wrap and the chicken bacon ranch wrap with their full flavor wrap is outstanding. So big I make two meals out of it. Love them both. Disagree about the jalapeno bites with the bronco berry sauce.
I just had a $15 Rueben from a local delicatessen and would take the Arby's version over it any day of the week!
My compliments to the photographer, my beef and cheddar sandwich. NEVER, NEVER, looks like that.🤔🤨☹🤬
Beef and cheddar melt with horsey sauce and Arby sauce with the curly fries... ..mmmmmm
Someone finally pronounces Gyro correctly!
But butchers jalapeño
I'm loving their chicken, bacon and swiss. Not sure how you missed it.
Love everything their except the wheat bread for the sandwiches. Wish Arbys offered different bread options.
@@danmacdonald4494 you can also chose a marble rye if you want sliced bread or there are several types of buns or you can ask them to do it as a wrap
I always used to order the Super.
My favorite Arby’s item has been discontinued. Their potato cakes were the bomb!
You definitely forgot about their BLT sandwich along with their potato cakes.
I enjoy most of Arby's menu and my family does too! I think you need new tastebuds
Arby's is the best, especially the full pound roast beef sandwich. :)
I went yesterday and the beef n cheddar are 2 for $6. I remember my dad taking me there as a kid and they were 2 for $4 😢
I remember when Arby’s was new. Their roast beef sandwich was 69 cents.
Smoke house brisket, beef n cheddars, and mozz sticks are best imo
Love it!❤️
I love Arby's! Cut them down all you want. That won't change. Some of the arguments make no sense...flaky turnovers too flaky? That's how I love them. Meat mountain sandwich is heaven on a bun, along with their reuben, brisket sandwiches, gyros, loaded Italian...you get the point.
ah, I used to get their Rueben every time when I used to get Arby's. it was my fave lol
Mozzarella sticks are incomparable!
I typically order the Beef and Cheddar or the French dip combo. Sometimes if I want to mix things up, I’d go with the buffalo chicken sandwich and loaded potato bites.
But whatever the main choice would be, I always like finishing off with a cherry turnover. 😊
