Many thanks for the information in the video. It gave us the inspiration to visit Navarino Bay. And importantly we didn't wear long trousers on the hike up to the castle, retracing your foot steps today. Just about to rewatch your video on Methoni as we will be moving on soon. Beautiful places, best time of year to visit, not too hot. Didn’t know you could feel a minor earthquake in a boat.. Keep an eye for the silver cheeked toadfish, not too difficult to catch and extremely toxic.
Yes it's been great being the only boat in the anchorage :) 20-25 degrees still perfect swimming weather! I will keep an eye out, thanks for the information. Thanks for watching
Hi Kawai, Thank you for your nice videos! We spent our first season this year around the Argolic bay. Our favorite places there are Astros, Vivari, Nafplipon, Kilada, (where we recently left our boat at the Basmakoulos shipyard) Porto Heli and Ermioni. We took it very slow our first season and stayed for weeks at some spots, to get to know them really well. We will start our next season in Kilada, go to Astros for fresh water and then start our sailing odysse around the Peloponnesia. Counter clockwise. Will you stay on your boat during this winter as well? Br, Kent at Sailing ZOLIO
Hi Zolio, no worries at all :), glad you could enjoy them and hopefully you can use some of the info for your next season. It's an area we haven't been, we would love to visit. We are actually heading home for Christmas, as we stayed on the boat last year for the winter. Currently we are in Mykonos crossing the cyclades before leaving Kawai in Turkey. I will follow your journey as well, best of luck and hopefully we can catch up for a beer some time. Jase and Trace
Just seen start of video which I missed first time round. Julia, my wife who was 60 at the time, ran the Olympic track both ways and got a standing ovation from a group of American students. Oh and temp was 30 plus. I sat in the shade.

@@SailingKawai We've already pulled A B Sea out onto the hard in Evia, Greece. We had an issue with the exhaust elbow, so we came out early. We'll be spending winter living on the hard.
@@SailingKawai the Meltemi wind wasn't as bad as we thought it was going to be, plenty of hiding places in the Aegean too. Next year we head further west and maybe out of the med and the EU zone.

We are on our way to Turkey, we sailed last winter however we will be pulling her out in December before flying home to Australia to see family :)
