I know that campaign videos are inherently spoiler full, but if you can do one more mission that'd be awesome! I'm soooo turn between this and dungeon alliance. I like the puzzle like nature of alliance and card drafting is cool, but the new art of infinity and the campaign pull me toward infinity. Both have pluses for sure ugh! Lol thanks for video!
Thanks for the great comment Caleb. I could perhaps do another mission in this campaign. I have a couple things I’m planning first but I’ll see what I can do. I will admit that those 2 games are fun. I think you would be happy with either. Thanks for watching I’ll do my best 😃😃👍
I totally agree it is a fun system. I’m excited to dig more into this campaign the rest of this mission seems to play different from the first mission. Great to hear form you Dan. Thanks as for watching 😃😃👍
Bairnt man, glad to see you with this game as I am probably going to back it. Maybe THIS is the DC I am looking for - will take more than a year to wait and find out though, haha! I also noticed the level 2 axe thing but apart from that, at 59.20 when you took damage from the spider, was there not a 1 on the armour worn that would have avoided one of the HP losses? Great (enthusiastic!) vid as always! 👍
Yes this is going to be a fun one especially with the campaign. I may have missed an armor point but the way the game works is your sliders move to account for all your modifiers. There still is a chance I missed a defense thouhgh. Always great to hear from you D. Thanks for the great comment and thanks for watching
I want to see a solid sample of the campaign text to decide if I want to buy edition 2! Spoiler, Shmoiler, I wish some of you streamers would be willing to show some of it. However; meanwhile; you've helped me get a solid feel for the adventuring and combat, to help me prioritize when I might want to buy this game. Thanks! - toby
Yes we walk a fine line of what to show versus what to keep for people to discover. Some games I just decide to spoil the whole thing others I leave for other to discover especially games that are in KS. I have been thinking doing more to demonstrate this game. Im glad I was able to help some. Thanks for the great comment. You gave me something to think about. 😃😃👍
I agree. There is not enough shown to make an informed decision. But in the end I think while the idea of having multiple rows of enemies is interesting, the rest of the combat looks lacking. Especially when it comes to items, most are just boosting stats it seems. The damage can be calculated before attacking and a roll is deciding if you hit. I'm not really a fan of being able to completely miss. U prefer just dealing less damage when getting a bad roll instead of nothing happening.
@@john9801 It is an easy system to to understand and It is a D20 roll. I will do my best to get back to this game to demonstrate more if I can. I totally get that seeing more will help demonstrate more of what there is. I like the ability cards that make every character different. Combat is only one of the parts of this game. I do think it is.a rather simple system but for some that can be a bonus to move them back to the rest of the game faster. Thanks for the great comment John and thanks for watching
@@MeetMeAtTheTable I did enjoy your video and it helped me gain some more information about the game. Also I did not check, but you could be one of the few that made a video about this game without being asked/played by the publisher. As for the game, what I miss is some reactional stuff after the dice roll. I have not played any heavy dungeon crawler yet. But from those I've played, all allowed team members to somehow help the active player. Like allowing them to reroll, changing their dice value, give them extra movement/actions, remove bad conditions, apply buffs and more. Here it seems like you roll a die and either you deal the damage or you don't. There is nothing that can be done after the roll. I would miss moments like "enemy has 5 health, player 1 rolls a 4 for damage, player 2 plays an reaction to increase the damage to 5" The other thing I already mentioned are items. I think the game closest to this that I've played might be Tiny Epic Dungeons on tabletop simulator. Getting an item there feels way more exciting because of how special most of their boni are. Granted the character ability system in TED is not deep at all. But there are a lot of possibilities. For example a weapon could be a hook on a chain that allows melee attacks to target the 2nd row and then moving it to the front row. Potentially swapping the position with the enemy in front of that monster. A hammer could have a similar effect. But instead of pulling an enemy to the front, it gets pushed back. Stuff like this seems to be missing, or it is on higher level items... But I haven't seen any higher level items. And when playing a one shot scenario, it seems like you never get above level 2? So even if the higher level items have done fun stuff, you can not get them in 1 shot scenarios
@@john9801 This is an incredible post. I agree with everything your saying. Do you mind if I pass this info onto the creator. I wonder if there would be a way to make the items double sided. That way you could have one side stay as written for the competitive and the other side could have a coop feel to the items. Even maybe the skills could be more coop. Thanks for such an amazing comment gave me a lot to think about maybe this may help create a better coop experience. 😃😃👍
You used Venom Fang, it mentioned something about adding poison, does that on;;y work on something that is weak to poison? I would think it adds damage unless immune and adds bonus if weak to poison.
That’s a great question. Yes poison only effect those weak to it, any weakness causes additional 2 damage. Sadly nothing was weak to poison. Thanks for watching hope you enjoyed it LordTalismond. 😃😃👍
Great video. Loved it! My only question at 35:12, can you wear the level 2 Axe Double Death when you are level 1? I think I read somewhere level of gear matters.
Thank you glad you enjoyed it. Yes you are right the level in the top of the card is what your character has to be to equip that item. So I was wrong to equip that axe. Thanks the bringing this to my attention I’ll make sure to put a note in the video. Thanks for watching 😃😃👍
What would make you second guess this game Melanie? I had a great time playing it. The campaign is a blast. I hope to continue this campaign soon. Thanks for watching 😃😃👍
One problem. When you attack the spider he will attack you back. So you should have rolled for an attack against Simon. You don't draw Lord Event cards for attacks against a Dungeon Lord.
Ahh thanks I didn’t know that. I’ll make sure to put a note about that in the video. That would definitely made that fight tougher thanks for the help. 😃😃👍
@@MeetMeAtTheTable Focus works the same with Minions, Sentinels and Dungeon Lords. Whenever a Hero attacks them they move to the front of the board of the hero who attacked. It's all good. Thanks for playing this online.

Jack's response: "Dungeon lord cards determine movement not combat. When a dungeon lord is attacked by a hero he is focused on he always attacks that hero at the end of their turn. If another hero attacks him he will move his focus to that hero unless they are in another tile. After that hero’s he will attack the new hero. Again when you are in combat with a dungeon lord that combat does not cats lord event card to be drawn. You only draw one card if another hero not involved with the combat dungeon lord causes one to be drawn"
board game designers please for the love of god it is the year of our lord 2024 you should not still need to be told at this time that 'skip a turn' is unacceptable as a game mechanic
Excellent start, they had female nature correct with Princess Karen. But "the King is a jerk" and "my parents are dead" trope, really, is that the best they can come up with? And Indlf doesn't realizes this the perfect opportunity to get rid of a rival to inheriting the throne? Not a good start. However, the story in a dungeon crawl is like a porno's plot line, it doesn't have to make sense, just need to be a reason for the character to be there. Now the combat system is interesting. I like the progression system, but it seems limited. Only 4 levels? Hopefully their will be expansion packs that increase that limit. Character customization: I get the felling there is none, other than weapon/armor upgrades. Game mechanics: Good and sensible. My quibble is that you roll under the target number. However, they didn't go for the boring D6, that's a huge plus in my book. The sliding markers works for the advancement but is awkward for action and health points. They could of done better. The map is compact and simple, so meh. The standees, ugh, but at lease their not meeples. Definitely need the miniature version. Where this game shines is its solo play: For easier play, use more characters (for less advancement per character) for harder, use less. For shorter game, leave after finding the McGuffin. For longer, explore the entire dungeon. (Again, the trade off is how much loot/xp the characters get.) Seems easy to mange four character and you don't need all four to play solo. Overall, I rate this as a solid 7. Worth looking into but I'm not ready to commit to backing, but one that I would like to have. For your video: Thank you, thank you, thank you, for stacking the deck to find Princess McGuffin right away and not making this 3-4 hours long. You show enough for me to make an informed decision without spoilers. Thumbs Up.
