I don't remember the year it was when me and my parents went on a Universal bus tour. We were walking along the Wall of those who had fought and died in the Vietnam War. Both me and my mom noticed Larry Bryggman (he played Dr. John Dixon) walking along the wall, saying "sorry, no autographs" to several others!
I was 3 months old in Keansburg, New Jersey when this aired. My mom watched this everyday from it's start in April 1956 til her death June 30, 1998. I had a crush on Kathleen Rowe McAllen when she was on this show.
When this was aired on CBS daytime, school lunch menu courtesy of the Glendora, CA Unified School District: Turkey & Gravy, Whipped Potatoes, Green Beans, Hot Roll w/Butter, Pears.
Thanks for the upload 👍 !! The show made Emily look like Margaret Colin right after Margaret left the show.. Meg Ryan is on the show too. And Brigget and Jerome Dobson would go off to create Santa Barbara.. XD
Maggie Crawford's office was Grant Colman's originally. The paint job is atrocious. It should of remained the dark cherry colour. Tom had Don's old office all the way through the late 80s when he became District Attorney.
I don't remember the Maggie character at all. From what I've seen of these vintage episodes....I like her. The actress is quite good. Thx for the upload.
Wow, I don't know how Meg Ryan ever became a well known actress after doing such a weak job as Betsy! Her line delivery is weak and she keeps rocking back and forth while her co-stars are delivering their lines.
I thought I was the only one who felt this way about Meg Ryan. She was not a good soap actress at all. Totally agree on how she got as far as she did in her career. Didn't help either that after she left World Turns she never was appreciative of her time on the show when she would do interviews. She just didn't want to talk about it. I think Meg possibly even regrets being on the show. Unlike Julianne Moore who is the total opposite. I definitely liked the other two actresses who played Betsy. Suzanne Davidson and Lindsay Frost. Also, does anybody know the actress who is playing Betsy's friend, Milan, I believe that's her name? Is she still acting? 🤔🤔😊😊❤️❤️
@@der22672 Agree with you about Suzanne and Lindsay being much better then her. Kathleen Rowe McAllen who played Bilan, Betsy's friend, was in Fear No Evil, a movie in 1981, on Loving as Colby Cantrell in 1985, on All My Children as Pamela Kingsley in 1988 and as Giuletta in Aspects of Love, a TV movie in 1993.
aajr72 Wow. Thanks for the info on Kathleen Rowe McAllen. I have no recollection of this girl at all. But 37 years have also passed,so there's that. 😜😜
Marshall Watson who played Ernie Ross quit acting and he's now a longtime successful interior designer living in Manhattan with his wife. He's also the younger brother of famed retired pro golfer Tom Watson. 😊😊
@@k.s.harris7970 I thought whoever was in charge of "the look" of Meg Ryan's character blew it big time. Like the worst Salvation Army Store look (actually, you could used to get some good looks there if you had a good location near affluent bored people). The 3 causes of accidents allude me...perhaps if I watched the episode again, I "dunno" so I will follow-up if it ever clicks with me. We watched this show in college and liked it a lot. My roommates and me would actually try to schedule so we could get in either two or three episodes a week as those new fangled VCRS were extremely expensive early on.
Scott Bryce was dreamy - those pink/puffy/plump lips - never have I forgotten his face.. #gorgeous

Original Margo and Tom, Margaret Coin and Justin Dees, liked them the best! Married real life 1988!
I always liked Margaret Colin too.
They were my favorite too..
I didn't know that they were married in real life. I guess that's why they always seem so real to me.

Nice story 💝
The best soap opera
Loved As The World Turns, Douglas Marland was great
James was the BEST villain ever!
Victor Newman is a boy scout next to Stenbeck!
@@KJTV67 And Stephano Dimera..I can't believe he left this to go to loving..?? Xd
@@KJTV67Roger Thorpe GL too.
Oh my goodness those were the good days on the soaps with international travel and everything and I just loved Barbara and Gunner I miss them all ❤

Yeah ?? Was it nourishing and Yummy Hmm ?? Do you clean that plate like a good little boy ?? Did you eat your veggies ?? 🤨🤨🙄🙄🥱🥱😱😱
One of the best shows ever
This must have been not too long before Eileen Fulton left the show and Betsy von Fuerstenburg took over the role of Lisa.
No wonder why Eileen Fulton left ATWT in 1983! These writers really made Lisa scattered brain twit!
They watered down her character, and she refused to play that nitwit..
As a MAIN CHARACTER of the soap, she deserved better treatment.
I can't blame her either Lisa was always quick witted a bit of a schemer this was certainly out of character for her
The infamous Barbara/bull storyline
Thought she was beautiful .babs
Robert Horton crossing paths with a young Meg Ryan. I had a legit crush on her back in grade school!
Thanks for the upload 👍 !! The show made Emily look like Margaret Colin right after Margaret left the show.. Meg Ryan is on the show too. And Brigget and Jerome Dobson would go off to create Santa Barbara.. XD
Lyla looks much older here than she does in 1987 wow same goes for Lisa
want more ATWT follow the ATWST 1981-1997
Was Bab's bull encounter before on AMC Erica came across the bear?
Hi! Do you have the episode that features Whitney Houston and Jermaine Jackson? It's from August 1984.
Meg Ryan was very cute back then!

0:00 Vito Sabia: WHAT??????!!!!!!!!! I dare you to get hit by a bull.
early dealings with James on Barbara in that bull ring
Never a good idea to wear red in a bullring with a bull. 😂😂😜😜❤️❤️
😂😂 I remember that secne as a kid in 1983 .

I agree. I never saw anything special in Meg Ryan. In fact, I preferred the actress who replaced her as "Betsy" (Lindsay Frost)
@@soapsnthings4182 I absolutely agree with you about Lindsay Frost!

The black actress in the pink.....she looks very familiar, can't place my finger on it; anyone know who she is?
Juanita Mahone is the name of the actress.
Whatever happened to the actor who played Ernie? He was quite handsome!
He also did theatre roles. I saw him as Joseph in a summer stock playhouse years ago.

Looking back, Ernie truly seemed gay and I mean that with no sarcasm or insult.
Fire the women's hairdresser. Some one give Meg Ryan something to wear from this century. Then remember the 3 causes of accidents.
