It strikes me that there are so many similarities between archery and spearguns, in terms of things like shaft flex. We call that "spine" in archery, and matching the spine to the poundage of a bow is one of the major factors in accuracy. An outstanding video!
A heavier shaft will have more range than a lighter one. Yes it needs more force to get it going at the same speed, but higher mass also means it is less affected by water resistance.
Mate what is the standard size shaft for the RIFFE EURO 120 SPEARGUN thinking about getting it as my fist gun how long is the spear that comes with it ?? is it 160cm or 170cm
I really don’t understand why a spearo would care about having a shorter travel friendly gun, and the spears are 120cm? If you can fit the spears, you can fit the gun. Unless spearos only travel with guns and rent spears after traveling.
a shorter gun with a 120cm shaft is still much more compact than a 120cm gun with a 160cm shaft. generally the shafts are bigger so when I travel I use the shaft as my minimum required length for whatever im packing it in.

Good vid but I think spring steel spears are stiffer than stainless and less prone to whip.
GOOD information solid video thank you

Closed muzzle, rail gun is the easiest
Still confuse with speargun with plastic trigger or stainless

160cm for US models. AU models are 10cm longer.

I hate pinned spears. Saw them break over time many times. Notch all the way every day!
You stuffed up the notch close up and put a close up of a fin instead
The camera/ video editor doesn't know spearguns... showing trigger close up instead of muzzle, and fin spear instead of notches...
