I have the LC40 that I purchased 2 years ago. That battery is great. I charge it and will last for a good 2 weeks with using it daily on my job. I took the clip off and bought a holder that goes on my belt. I work in a wet, dusty hot environment. The beam will blind people shining directly at them. The port cover still works great and never had a problem with the function button. I used the strobing function during a wreck to warn oncoming traffic. I went through a lot of different lights at work before I came across the LC40. When/if this light ever goes out, I will definitely be buying another.
Looks like a good, general purpose flashlight. Anybody I come across who doesn't have a good flashlight, this is probably what I will recommend they get. Anker is a good brand and everything they make that I've come across has been good and serves a purpose well.
I have been buying Anker flashlights since I used my dads lc40 a while back. I bought one for myself and after a few months i went to charge it and the charging port just totally pushed in making it impossible to charge or turn on or off. It was on when this happened so it stayed on for like a day and a half. I bought it through amazon but i contacted Anker directly and told them and they said I was covered with the warranty and sent me a new one quickly. I bought the brighter lc90 for my older brother too.
I have an LC40 Anker flashlight. But it’s not the same as the one you are showing I do not have a hole in the back and I do not have a separate button. I have just one rubber piece that turns the light on or off I cannot find anywhere to plug in the charger. If you takeoff the rubber piece on the back all there is is a button that pushes the flashlight to turn on.
Looking to see how it can be disassembled. I dropped it few days ago and now it’s not turning on so I am willing to take risk of not being able to put it back together.
Great flashlight I bought 2 lc40 6yrs ago dropped, got wet..NO PROBLEMS. IT'S MY GO TO AT WORK AND AROUND THE HOUSE. STURDY POCKET CLIP RECHARGEABLE LITE. BEST ALL AROUND FOR THE MONEY.
@@worldlinsampson5692 takes hours to recharge... you can't easily put in a fresh battery and continue using it. My Panasonic batteries are much better than the factory one too. Warranty is not lifetime.
The non-replaceable battery is an unquestionable deal breaker. I cannot imagine the thinking that went into the decision to make an expensive alternative to cheap 18650 flashlights that had a very limited life, as well as the inconvenience of not allowing a quick swap-out for a fresh battery in lieu of a very long recharge process. The lack of a zoom is just icing on the cake.
It’s the design of it, it’s a clean looking sleek flashlight. The battery isn’t an issue at all. And with a little research you’d know that if anything happens it’s replaced for free.
@@worldlinsampson5692 Spending money on postage and waiting several weeks for the light to get there & back, in lieu of just swapping in a $6 18650 replacement is just not something I buy into. And the ability to do a fast reload of a new battery so you're back to 100% full charges in less than a minute, as opposed to having to sideline the light for however long it takes to recharge it is just horribly inefficient. And you can do sleek and clean looking with a light that has a removeable back--I've got loads of them. Perhaps another factor for me is that I've got similar large lights on all my high caliber battle rifles, and recharging them when they're mounted is an inconvenient, annoying pain--as opposed to a 1 minute cell replacement.
Shame it's MicroUSB - that's getting to be very old hat now. Most torches are USB-C these days, which is also my preference. It's similar to the Superfire C20 for less money, and has USB-C.

Great job, I love my LC90 which is going strong after a year.
Glad you like it. My LC40 and LC90 are both still going strong as well!
How is it now? Any update for us?

This one can actually take one single 18650 battery.

I agree. Still my favorite flashlight!
it is also can be a weapon light on rifle like ar15 or shotgun etc
Excellent review.
To bad you can't focus the beam or easily replace the battery..... I'd purchase at least 2 if you could.
No need 🤷🏿♂️ I like the fact that you can’t because if something happens they replace it. I’ve had mine for years and haven’t had an issue.
