    This video made me realize that I like about John is his ability to speak in a way that seems so thought out in each word and phrase only to hit you with a curveball of language that's so unique and endearing like "greeted with a blizzard of indifference" "hip dysplasia, like many dogs" idk if I'd ever be able to come up with something like that on the spot and so casually.

      I teach English as a second language for Asian students. They often try to use big words to show off their vocabulary range during speaking tests, while the rest of their speech remains casual. This results in a speaking style that is really similar to John's

      My younger brother's favorite band is Steely Dan. I always think he should go watch them with John, but then I remember neither of us know this guy IRL and I can't set up play dates with men who don't even know each other, so I move on. Peg is probably my favorite Steely Dan song, but I adore Fagan's I.G.Y. Love listening to that song on repeat. :)

    I cannot get over how much his look in this is someone who isn’t sure if it’s the 80s or the 70s, but has kinda given up (esp the hair) and has gone with what’s most comfortable in his closet. No shade, just a nod at someone’s decisions. I mean, the floppy center part over the mustard jacket
