That is a good buy on the Aguila 9mm. I'd be tempted to buy a few hundred rounds at that price. Good find, bro.

You do better on price than I ever do lol. I just paid $26 a box for .223 gold dots in 75 grain and the fiocchi 9mm was $17 a box. I did find a couple 100 round boxes of that active duty Winchester flat point 9mm for $39 which I thought was decent. If I lived somewhere I couldn’t use a traditional jacketed hollow point that would be my choice. Just a heads up I found some vcrown 9mm in the 124 grain +p offering. It is a nato spec round in a brown cardboard box marked m-17. I just ordered 2 boxes of #20 for $18.99 because I’ve never seen it before. Watching your hunts have helped me keep some of my cost down because I watch you do it once a week. I sincerely can’t thank you enough for this video series.

This was one of my favorites because I have weapons for all of the calibers except 17HMR and my father in law has one that’s super accurate! The Winchester M-22s is something I bought about 5 years ago and it was during a break in period on two of my.22s and they both didn’t cycle very well but now they will shoot any thing I can find and if I ever see them again I will definitely pick some up although I bought mine at Walmart for about $59 so in today’s world you did pretty good I’m also looking forward to watching the Gold Dots test as I really like mine

Tools, you must have good eyes! Anytime I was ever in any WallyWorld that had ammo, I always needed to ask to see a scope from under the counter, so I could dial up the correct zoomie, so I could read the calibers and prices way behind the counter and under glary glass.

Went on an ammo run Friday 1/28 to 5 Academy Stores in NC. There was not much new ammo in any of these stores and what was in there has increased in price since Nov and Dec prices. Also, went today to my local Academy and waited 3 hours for them to sort thru the truck and once they put out the buggies, there were 3 separate buggies; 1 for shotgun, 1 for pistol and 1 for rifle. It is the largest amount they have received in over a year. Again, the bad thing is everything has increased in price and they still enforce the 4 boxes per day limit. With the impending war between Russia and whoever, I believe we should still be buying it up because I believe we are in for another shortage coming in a few months. Just not enough material to continue producing at the rate the Olin and Vista groups have been putting it out at. Thanks for your videos!

I think you'll find those 115gr UMC hollow points perform very well. As a "budget" defense load, they're consistent & reliable. I would argue they are the best Remington has to offer- all things considered.

You got some good deals! Still hard to find any 9mm under $20 here in WA state unfortunately. I was at Walmart the other day though and picked up a bucket o bullets .22lr. Came out to $75 for 1,400 rounds, pretty good deal, went in the next day for another bucket and they were all gone of course though!
I haven't seen the buckets of .22 at mine in a good bit. They're definitely a deal when they show up.
Another good one tools can’t bring myself to pay the high prices since I reload only deal I found was Remington bucket of bullets 22lr hp for 79$ bought 2 thought that was fair price long time since I’ve seen them

The M22 is solid in my experience. Much better than most of the cheap crap as far as reliability. It used to go for about $55 bucks at wally world. The last pack I grabbed was $65 last year. Prices suck.

My local gun store had a lot of 9mm and 556/223 at decent prices at least for clown world. 357 and even 38 special are hard to find. $45 for a box of 45-70 Hornady FTX the only 45-70 they had. Plenty of 450 Bushmaster. Thanks for sharing!

It was showing up a lot around here for a while but then got scarce. Hopefully it will show up more regularly again.

Prices are comming down in your area, i personally have never felt an ammo shortage but components have been a little pricey and hard to source. Ty for your input. Stay safe shoot straight.

We do not have Rural Kings in Memphis. I Was very excited when I found out there were Rural Kings in Florida where my Mom lives. This is the second trip down. Each time they had absolutely nothing. The Zephyrhills location must not get the shipments that yours gets. Its about 20 miles from my Mom's. But I do not think I will be driving there any more. Too bad. Would love to walk into the inventory that I see on your videos weekly. I guess I will continue to watch your ammo hunts and dream. Keep em' coming!

Academy had Monarch 223 brass case 120 round boxes 59 a box and the 9mm Browning 150 round boxes 59 a box 115 gr fmj. They had Winchester 38 spec 100 rd boxes 130 gr fmj for 64 a box

Had my eye on those Sig V-crowns since your last test with the 115 grain and 124 grainers showing how nice and consistent they are. Recently also picked up a new tool for myself. The Wal Marts in my area have been really well stocked lately. So much so that the .22’s sit there for days at a time. The other day they had tons of .30-30, .308, .270 and a few other calibers plus a ton of 12, 16, 20 and 28 gauge. They even had .410 which has been tough to find. The only problem is they all have 2 box limits per caliber around here.
Yeah, the one here has been a lot better lately about keeping stuff in stock. This one has the 3 box limit but they never enforce it.

Happened to be in the local Walmart the other day and took a look at their pathetic stock of ammo. That had a little assortment and among it was one lonely box of 30-30. Remington Core-Lokt 170grain. 20 rounds for 22 dollars. It looked so lonely, I had to buy it.

Nice haul there tools! always appreciate the ammo hunt videos. i always kick myself in the butt for not picking up some extras of those 38 specials critical defense lites when they were in my shop (ive visited them every now and then but they never came back in stock). they even had some decently priced holler points .380's from aguila that i shouldve picked up extras for, but i try to be nice and not go crazy with it lol.
also im sure youve been hearing some more of this AFT nonsense, so i dont wanna raise an alarm here like last time. its kinda blowing up all over the pew pew channels right now.

Great price on the Aguila 9mm, but you really got hosed on the .22LR M-22. I have about 3K left from purchases @ Walmart - priced @ $42-$45/1000. Local WM's have shelves overflowing with .22LR; the WM in a small town of 5,000 has more than 80 boxes of Fed 325 pack & lots of Win yellow box, plus a good amount of CCI's. The Win M-22's have functioned well in all my guns except for a few light strikes in 2 of the striker fired pistols. Very nice haul this week!
Yeah I can get .22lr much cheaper, but I didn't have any of these so I bit the bullet for testing purposes.
You did hit some good deals! We got a chance to hit up Academy and whew.... they got the ammo but it's just as pricey as local shops. $22 for Winchester white box 9mm and $17.99 for steel casing.
I heard Academy was raising prices on some stuff.😣
Now this was a interesting video and you definitely find all the good stuff for sure. However if you were in my part of the world here in the Central Kansas area it would be much slimmer and expensive Pickens. I'm definitely envious of all the good stuff that you find.

@@MegaBait1616 what’s wild is shotgun ammo held for a long time. 9mm and 223/5.56 went up immediately because it’s the first 2 cartridges that people stockpile. Then large rifle cartridges went up durning hunting season of 2020. Then late summer and early fall of 2021 shotshells started to go up all places and haven’t stopped going up. Heck even early 2021 you could still find cheaper loads at several places. Heck even academy is 9 bucks for the cheap loads now and just a few cents under that at Walmart unless they happen to have Federal Range and Target 100 packs. For example, Winchester Super Targets are up 60% roughly at Walmart in the last 7 months. Some loads are less and some are more. Guess it’s not as bad as 9mm being up 100% most places and some even more than that.
@@MegaBait1616 The last time I seen the 100 round boxes of field loads they were $29.99 but that’s been several months I’m sure they are even more now.

Wish my town had ammo like this! Walmart just had the 100 year anniversary Winchester 22lr hollow points but wanted 41.97 for a 300 round pack! I had to pass! And they haven’t had 22lr in over a year an still had over 6 boxes left which is wild bc they usually sell out in the first hour or so! They’ve been there for a few days now but I’m assuming people here are refusing to pay that! Nice scores brother I’m on the look out for 9mm 223/5.56!

Unfortunately we don't have a Rural King or a Dunham's. We have an Atwood's, Walmart and our local gun store. Atwood's is the best on prices for most stuff. I sure wish we could get a Rural King in here. As far as I know there aren't any in my state. Lookin' forward to your next tests Tools!

I used to like the 124gr v crowns but after the Ammo shortage hit I started getting inconsistencies with them. In my experience they are typically loaded with nickel colored primers. A while back I bought a few boxes and they were loaded with brass colored primers. I had a couple light strikes with a Glock 19 and a standard striker spring. I noticed another round had severe variation in seating depth from the others and I couldn’t fire that round due to pressure concerns. I’ll stick with hst’s for now. I’ve never had a round of federal that didn’t go bang.

I just got mine, 10mm wasn't too bad but the 9mm is cheaper.
Nice haul, shelves are pretty full here up North but prices still high. Can't get 22LR for less then $.10 a round, 9MM for less than $.40 a round or 223/556 for less than $.60 a round.

I’ve been scoring mini mags at Wally World for 10.87. I have a couple thousand stingers, and they don’t group all that well in anything I have. Walmart has been getting 243 270 and 30-30 in pretty regular.
Bought a case of 9mm Speer 115gr (blazer brass in generic boxes) for 319 locally. Also bought some S&B 6.5 creedmoor 140gr SP for 20.89 at the same shop. Haven’t seen 6.5 for under 2 bucks a round anywhere else, and our rural kings and Dunham’s haven’t seen any in months

Our rural king has no shotgun shells ever or I miss them everytime I go. I need some 20 and I would definitely got those if I had ran across them. I haven’t been lately so I’ll go check it out

Walmart here has slim and none . Mostly none. BassPro in north Myrtle Beach is a joke. Their ammo shelf is less than4o feet and their prices makes you think it’s mad out of platinum. Next time you in Rural King tell them they should come to Conway SC. We don’t have one here.
My WalMart was pretty much empty for months. They've been getting a lot more in lately.

Those prices are cheap. I went yesterday at Academy the cheapest 9 ammo was 17.99 CCI up to 21.99 a box of 50.

My rural king seems to get there big shipments on Mondays, we got in about 10 -20 100rnd packs off cci blazer 115g 9mm this week. Also had the Remington 115g 50rnd boxes for $16.99
The 3 rural kings around me never has much of anything in stock it's like they gave up selling ammo

Is the Aquilla 9mm brass? If so I guess that is not a terrible price for that now. The brass seems to be pretty good quality for reloading. I do think I paid less than $9 a box for it but that was a few years ago. As long as people keep paying ridiculous prices they will keep charging it.

Powder is still pretty scarce around here. I have ordered some online in the last month or so that I needed for some stuff. Primers are a little better but still not great. Small rifle is almost always in stock at my local shop and Dunham's, but they're overpriced at $8.99 per 100.

What's low price? Here in my state it's 20 dollars for 50 rounds of Winchester 9mm 115gr. I was getting Winchester before the pandemic and price increases for 10 a box. I don't expect to pay that again but 20 a box is a bit much still.

Everything's pretty much the same thing here in Allentown Pennsylvania, local shop pretty decent amount of ammo so does Cabela's just super expensive.my local Walmart has been getting in a lot more ammo these past couple weeks pretty much all the same stuff you have at your local Walmart just more of it and the same prices.

Remington UMC was my favorite ammo for 9mm and .40 cal, they seemed to burn cleaner than CCI Blazer. I haven't seen them in a long time though.

@@ToolsandTargets here's a little more detail for you. i can only describe it as a failure to extract, ON STEROIDS lol. first mag i fired a round. second shot fired but the slide locked in place and didnt come back. it was as though the steel case, which isnt supposed to expand at all, expanded too much with the, what ill call extractor claws locked onto it and locked up the whole slide. it was stuck shut. i'm a big decently strong guy and it took nearly 10 minutes of pulling and tugging on the slide to get it to come loose but when it did finally loosen up the extractors were still locked onto it and pulled it out.i fired 2 more rounds that did extract but on the third it locked up again. but this time instead of tugging on it i simply tapped it out with a cleaning rod. after that i shot some brass and aluminum cased ammo without incident. gave the rest of the box away. if i was thinking right at the time i should just sent it to you. i have seen hi point eat up the tulammo so could be just my particular g2c didnt like it. on the other hand, and this is just a theory on my part, russian steel cased ammo such as tulammo, brown bear, and silver bear, all 115 gr fmj are made in the same complex in russia. they are supposed to be standard pressure rounds, but i saw one video where a guy chronographed the brown bear and got readings in the high 1200's and even a couple + 1300 shots. thats in the +p+ range. that looks to me like questionable quality control and the rounds that locked up my g2c coulda been loaded way to hot and possibly thats what caused ti steel cases to expand and get stuck. sorry for the long rant, just wanted you to know all the details in the event you do a video on this

I have not seen a spread like that on your bench in a few months, good haul. I wish we had a RK somewhere reasonably close to me but the closest is like 2 1/2 hrs. away. I would be in hog heaven if they built one here, but all we have is 3 tractor supply within 10 miles of each other and they don't have any guns or ammo at all, they must be ran by the left Lol. I used to buy that Hornady Vmax .22 WMR for $9 at Sportsmans Warehouse. Haven't seen it nearly 2 years. I had plenty son I'm sitting good. It shoots great in my PMR30 and Single Six.

I have a Kel Tec PMR30 and P17. Both are great weopons, reliable, and a blast to shoot. They won't win any beauty contests, but they sure are fun.
