Absolutely brother, we all watch these guntubers for the most part but I thought it was cool hearing Andrew Conrad throwing you some praise for your .22lr Punch 🤛 series. Pretty cool. Think it’s the video before he flies to patriot games event? I’d never heard of such an event. You earn ever positive thing you get from your channel, Tools you’ve come a long way. You just bein you commentating is your meal ticket.
I agree 100%. I feel so much more confident when I go to buy ammo now. I can walk away from the ammo counter empty handed and be 100% fine with that.
I have scored some great ammo deals because of this channel. I don't get as much in my area as Tools does, but that may be a good thing for my pocketbook.

Your rural king is completely different than the one I went to last week in Dothan Alabama. It was a complete joke. No ammo to be had.
It sells out fast at a lot of places.
Thanks tools , I learned my lesson last year on hunting ammo. When we had precious ammo shortages it didn't seem to affect hunting ammo like it has this time. I now have enough hunting ammo for several years. 👍👍

Was at our local RK looking around and noticed a couple flipping a box of 9mm over and over. He saw me staring and asked if I knew were the "best by date" was printed. Took me by surprise that one did.

Your right about the hunting ammo. At the Cabela's where I go the shelves are filled no spaces compared to the I other shelves I was just in there.

Great score, I did pickup up a 8 lbs in Pennsylvania this weekend for reloading shotgun shells and a bunch of 209 primers right place right time. My local Wally world was also loaded with hunting loads. Pickup 5 boxes of 45 long colt... Long live the jelly man.🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Ammo is stacking up everywhere around me. Good to see it coming in. It’s gonna have to stack up everywhere for prices to have a chance at dropping
I don't see em dropping for a very long time if at all honestly. They know they can charge whatever they want and people will still buy it. Ammo is as necessary as gas or anything else to a lot of people.
@@ToolsandTargets yeah I agree with that. It’s going to take a very good while still for it to stack up to a point that they need to have sales to move it. I’m just hoping that nothing else happens and we are getting closer to that starting point. I have noticed a decrease in peoples buying in my area for sure though.

Some of rural kings prices online. Is cheaper but then you got shipping so guess that makes Since I just hit my goal on a 22lr stockpile now on to the next. Milestone for 22lr ammo just picked up 500 9mm to run tru my canik mete as well

My local cabelas is getting way more ammo in- two weeks in a row found 100 rd packs of .38 special, $60 which is cheaper than I can buy online.
I also got some of the 38 grain Aguila hollowpoint 22lr 500 rd packs for $42 a box
Have seen a couple places selling it for normal prices, but they sell out fast. Assholes buy it all up and then sell it for ridiculous prices, because fools are willing to pay that much. There's no reason for shortages or increased prices anymore except that greedy people want to keep it going (and of course the people that are willing to pay are even more responsible).

Ordered a group 34 agm battery (exide made for rural King) back in 2015. Shipped to Bama $110 including all shipping and tax free back then. Still running great. I oversized it for my little car. We have a rural King somewhere. Jasper or Birmingham. Lol. I love to hear from Dunham's. I guess you pay for selection and availability. Walmart is still staying wiped out except for maybe tac22. And they occasionally have 350 legend. Lol

Been finding some nice scores at wally world over the last few weeks. They had the 125 round milk cartons of cci maxi mag 22 mags for about 24 and some change each so I picked up 4 of those. Then just a few days ago I picked up a couple 100 round packs of mini mags for 8.36 a pack. I noticed they've been raising prices on a lot of their ammo recently but for some reason my local wally world hasn't gone up on maxi mags or mini mags yet so I'm trying to stock up before they do. Also I picked a couple boxes of monarch 20 gauge high velocity 8 shot dove and target loads at academy for 8.99 a box. Most ammo at academy has gone up too high for me but they still have a few things that are not too over priced. Been finding the best deals on ammo either online or at wally world here lately but I'm in South MS so no rural kings round here just academy.

I’ve been shopping on-line and getting a little here and there when I catch a sale! The stores in my area still have “limits”, but little by little, I have been getting the calibers that I need. 😊

I'm going to have to pick a weekday to go by RK near me because they don't have much on Sat. or Sun. mornings. If Dunhams would drop prices a little they could sell a ton. It's not like they are spending a lot on staff. Maybe 4 people at ours. Would love to have a local gun shop like yours. Good finds again.

In my city, the only ammo I know of is in the hands of the gangsta's. Don't know where they get the stuff, because Walmart stopped selling ammo hereabouts over two years ago.
If you drive over 100 to 150 miles round trip, you can find some, but good luck on if it's what you need.

Good hunt, I finally got to go out to the range after breaking my hip 5 weeks ago and finally got to shoot my Henry side gate big boy steel did good with my 180 gr Hornady Jhp loads but the specials I loaded with some “bargain lead 180 gr” sucked about 6 inch groups if you can call that a group. I think in a couple more weeks I’ll be able to shoot my 45-70 again.

It's to late to buy it cheap. But stack it deep when you can find it. I try to keep at least 2000 rounds for each firearm I own. The hunt is on for 270.

Great score tools. The 17hmr didn't last long. Remington is way to high on the 220 swift. Hornady is still 24.95 a box for 220 swift. 22-250 thats way to high dunhams is crazy priced

I've been seeing .357 lately, but it is spendy at $30 for 50 rounds. Also .44 mag for $40. Also .45 LC for $70.
If you need it, its good to see, but I'll wait for a little better pricing.

I avoid online at all costs. Only if there's something specific I want to test and can't find it locally. I come out way cheaper buying ammo locally.

great haul again tools....i swear i just don't know bout your RK i was at mine a couple of days ago..i'm going to have to make a vid. to show you..i counted what was there and not including the boxes of tac 22 there was 18 boxes of shells..nothing like what you show at yours wasn't even any shotgun shells..anyways looking forward to the videos on the 350 leg. i think you're going to like it.mines shoots great granted it's not going to hit much at 500 yds. but for what it was built for[IMHO] a great gun for 200 yds or less

Be interesting to see your results with the 365 V Crown. I’m in your boat, in that I to believe it’s a marketing strategy. You’d think it’s 2020 at my Rural King in Florida. Very little in selection or inventory each week.
I've run some of the HST "micro" 9mm and couldn't tell any difference in it. That was before I started testing ammo but I suspect this 365 V Crown will be the same way.

Those Sig 365 VCrowns are a good round and they do leave less powder residue on the shorter pocket pistols than say a Gold Dot. The powder is designed to give a complete burn in a 3 inch barrel. I have found that it does burn cleaner, gives consistent velocity, and less felt recoil. I think you will enjoy testing those. Good haul, Tools. Keep on, brother.

Unfortunately prices are out of control. I need to win the lottery to afford buying ammo. Luckly I have tons of hunting ammo I don't need to purchase for at least 20 years. Now my regular handgun ammo I have to be on the lookout since you could never have enough of handgun caliber.

my wife and i was in our local walmart found the federal 308s in stock so we each got our 3 box limit then the next morning we went back and got the last 5 boxes they had we paid 25.15 a box so i have 11 boxes for this deer season

I was pretty surprised at the .380 price. My local shop gets 5.7 in every month or so lately but it's priced at $39 per box. RK got some about 4 or 5 months ago for $35

I was so happy to find it, I didn't consider you have to be able to test everything you buy. It does however work for me lol. $69 for 200 rounds, not bad for practice rounds. Picked up a ruger pc carbine this week so I had to haul in some 9mm as well.
Picked up about 1,500 rounds of 9mm online and from my local shop. Always like to replace what I shoot + a couple hundred rounds extra

Yeah, most people who don't shoot it don't realize what a "good" deal $42 is for it right now. It's expensive stuff.😆
30-30 seemed to show up on line, here n there, AFTER hunting season was over, and 7mm Mag is STILL missing in action, unless 70.00 and up fits your budget for 20.
50 Undertaker Beobooger ammo remains in hens tooth category, and ditto 44 mag, and .357 too.

Yeah, it's probably gonna happen again this coming season. Local shop is slammed with 7mm mag for decent prices but they always have a little bit of most everything.

I did locate some Barne's hunting ammo in TTSX bullet for 6.5 Gren, but, dang, it's 500 round cases...a box of 20 will last a hunter a couple of seasons on deer, and likely enough hogs, to get ya tired of cleaning them. Lol.

I haven't seen .30 Gov't in my area at all for like 2 years, and it's been probably a year and a half since I've seen .357 Sig in my area.
I'm quite eager and anxious to see the showdown between the Sig 115gr 365 V-Crown, 115gr Standard V-Crowns, and 124 Standard V-Crowns (M17 was extremely disappointing, in my opinion).
Only thing left on my wish list for you is seeing the performance and gel test of those 117gr Aguila JHP. It's old tech (literally no skives in the bullet jacket) and it seems to have a very soft lead alloy. However, this stuff is also budget defense rounds , but so was the Winchester Whitebox and it did perfectly fine. I know its probably harder to find, but if you do happen to see some in the wild, or order it online, they come in 50 round packs like the Winchester Whitebox. Hopefully you're able to find some soon.

My buying price for 9mm is $14.99 for 50 at this point. Although if I needed some I would definitely pay the $17 or $18 for it.

I've been able to find 30-30 at Walmart remington core lokt 150 and 170 grain for 21 dollars a box. Also 12 gauge monarch 00buck 25 rounds for 13.99 at academy sports. Pretty decent prices on hard to find stuff.

Up until about a month ago, I was fairly consistently finding 350 Legend (145 gr) for $15.99 at the WallyWorld. But more recently, they only have the “Extreme Point” (150 gr) or the “Power Point” (180 gr) upwards of $32 / 20 rd box.
I noticed the same thing at my Wallyworld.😣
That 45 colt for $55 is good. In Texas it’s $70 if you can find it.
Yeah if I didn't already have a few boxes of the lead cowboy load stuff I would have grabbed it.

They rarely sell reloading components. Just a few primers sometimes.

I have actually taken up a policy that if i see ammo in the store, i wait for a week and if it is still on the shelves i will get a box or two so I am not buying up all the stock when I go to the range only a few times a month
My policy is if it's still there after I blink, I buy it.😆
Finally checked out a SW Michigan Rural King. Not much in there and had Dunhams prices.
The best priced stuff goes very fast for sure.
I just bought a couple of boxes of 180gr. 10mm HP for $36 a box, got it from a local manufacturer. Don't know if that's a good price but it's first I've seen and they've had in a while.

I have been trying unsuccessfully to find some 7.62x25 for my Yugoslavian M57 Tokarev locally. I finally broke down and decided to pay shipping so I have some on the way. Looking forward to talking it to the range. Great ammo run. Thanks for the video.

There is an Online Ammo Shop *wink* that had Norma 115 grain 9mm for 18 a box and came with a box of tacc-22 for "free" earlier today. Not bad for today's market.

That's a good strategy to buy a few boxes of that belom each week, then when the steel completely dries up get a box of 1000 projectiles and have fun reloading so you can keep on shooting. 😝 Have a good one brother see you on the next one.

I found a box of .300winmag yesterday at Walmart close to where I live. Haven't seen that in Walmart close to 2 years. But it was 42 dollars a box.

@@ToolsandTargets yes they did. It is hard to find .300winmag around Alabama right now. For the Winchester ammo I another gun store around here is charging 150 dollars a box.
Pretty much all .380 here in west Texas run at least $26 for a box a 50, and you can buy Sig .380 for $18.99. Wow! And the V-Crowns for $16.99? $25-26 here.
I was pretty surprised by this .380 price.

Man...As sad as it is to say, I'd love to find some .45-70 for $42 a box. I happened to find some Winchester 45-70 at WallyWorld last week for $46.99. It's been scarce so I ended up buying it.

That Serbian made Belom seems to run really clean. I have a few boxes of the Belom 9mm 124gr FMJ. I like Belom's packaging.
Good to hear. I was thinking the same thing about the packaging. They can put brass cased ammo in a fancy plastic box for less than most companies put steel case in cardboard.😆
@@ToolsandTargets Yeah really, I hear that. Mhhmmm "Federal".. Federal HST'S are wayy over priced these days, they use to come in a fancy plastic case now they package their 9mm in cardboard boxes. They still package their .45ACP in their fancy plastic cases. Lol
Tools, you should show us Walmart more often. I often find the best prices and deals there. Also everyone has a Walmart near by.
