Why I picked the Galaxy instead of Carrack

- Choosing a concept ship over one of my favorite ships in the game. My reasons for this vary, but I feel like I made the right choice, especially since I don't do much exploration nor does it seem that will be a focus for a while.

Galaxy gang! I’m so excited for this ship. The carrack looks cool with the repair and multi module. But we get one as rental to try. Also 3-4 decks is cool but I’d prefer 2 decks for simplicity. Also hanger that a ship can fly straight into could be done while moving and launch snub while moving which sounds cool.
I like my carrack but I don’t know if I will do much in the exploration loop when it does come in over what all the galaxy is set to do, and yes the 4 floors is fun until the elevator just drops you outside lol
I got into this project in 2011... started regretting it in 2017, but figured out how to make thousands off old CCU's and other gimmicks, over the grey market. bought a cinema camera. Sooo much better idea
Filming sure is more fun for me, than waiting for CI to finish stuff. Galaxy was for sure end of 2024.
And it just got delayed another year to 2025... I'd suggest to buy a CCU for it and not hand over the rest of the money until they get it done...
The CCU chain is the best way to get it for real money, or also just wait until can purchase it in game as well once it does release.
I got the Galaxy , planning on cargo and base building modules , and having the C8R in the garage to act as a portable med bed / ambulance
That is pretty much what my plan is as well. I got the apollo for later on for the medical stuff, and the endeavor whenever it does release, but will use the c8r with the galaxy for cargo runs and stuff.
Honestly that's more or less the same reasoning that I went with. Other than the fact that the Galaxy was about half the real money price of the Carrack and I get a loaner carrack until the finish the Galaxy. I'm just a bit disappointed that I can't name the Galaxy. Thanks for sharing.

Greetings Claud, I would just like to ease your stress about the galaxy, It was confirmed that the galaxy will have a hangar door in the back, and you can also see it in both the Holo viewer and the galaxy full technical spec sheet
Also I should probably mention that while the carrack does have an extra turret, All of its turret are equip with size 4 guns, Meanwhile the turrets on the galaxy are equip with size 5 guns

It’s not a carrack, but it’s why I chose the galaxy over it personally, I too like to ran it alone, and running a smaller vessel that has two floors and just what i need without much extras, will give me an easier time
Lol yeah def not a Carrack but I think it will most definitely carve itself a large niche. To many pros with the different options and still being able to get around fairly easy when the resource management comes online to be able to solo it somewhat for everyday use and big enough to not run over each other to multicrew
Interesting. I ended up turning my Galaxy into a C2. The Arastra Q&A cleared up the refining role for me and I have a Hope Class Endeavor already. Only thing I am missing is base building but once modularity comes fully online I am hoping there will be more options for it.
I never really though about the c2 myself, while I love the MSR, I'm not the biggest crusader fan overall. will lose some cargo once it does release but I will deal with it, maybe make an extra run or 2 lol

It’s one of my favs so far. Just waiting for an actual release sucks. But I still have the Carrack for now
I got this with the cargo and med mods, hoping to get base mod. I am a little sad this is a civil use ship only it could have been a good exploration ship with another shield or turret on top back side.
I’ve got the same ones. Waiting on the base building mod myself. Got other ships for exploration and combat
I do think it would be a good idea for some kind of exploration or combat mod though
I declined the Galaxy for my use cases. I don't like the fact it has only a single module even though it's kind of a large module.
I'm not into medical and the cargo module doesn't seem to offer much more than what my caterpillar does already. The refinery is covered by my Arrastra so in the end only the construction module is of interest to me. The thing is we don't know much about what other modular ships will get construction module or not. Will Caterpillar have it despite smaller modules ? Will Carrack get it ? Any other unannounced ship will get it ?
I love Galaxy design but for my personal case it's hard to justify. Can't wait to see one in the verse though.
I looked it it kinda the same way you are talking about it, just how does it go with what my gameplay will be. I like the medical stuff and doing cargo so it fit in with that and the base building however that goes it will work with. Refinery I’m not as big on at the moment but I do want to look at the arrastra at some point as well but for now at least my plan is to just mine with the prospector and use a refinery and do some salvage with the vulture then just pack it all together in the cargo of the galaxy and sell it May not be the best way to do it but I like it lol
The Galaxy is officially delayed to end 2025. Don't buy the whole thing, just buy a CCU to lock-in the price.
The Carrot, well you just have to avoid Bugs Bunny, when you're landing some place.
I can't be serious about these ships anymore. CI threatened that ships with S4 or s5 components are going to be a nightmare to fly as they older.
I agree on the CCU, but I haven’t seen anything about a delay to the end of 2025. Granted I also haven’t seen anything about any dates for release, which is usually the case with pretty much all the ships.

Where can I buy the galaxy with real money, can't find it anywhere
It’s a limited time item. Usually stuff like that comes up around invictus in may and IAE in oct. You might can catch it for sell other random times as well
Ignoring the endless delays, I don't actually find it fun to play this.
Just compare the elevators in Cyberpunk to the elevators in SC - its night and day. Yes, they want to make the largest space mmo game . doesn't really matter to me if elevators are a slow pain in the ass and so many other things grinding you for time, I'm much more entertained with smaller, but more snappy games.
To each their own on gameplay. I personally havent played Cyberpunk so I cant compare the elevators. I do like the smaller snappy games as well and they can be a lot of fun to hop in mess around on and have fun with, but I also like to have something that I can put a lot of time into and have something to look forward to later
