Personally speaking I love watching it so funny 🤣 and gentle lol I think Roy Clarke was on a winner when he wrote it granted it went on for too many years perhaps but it is still funny 🤣 to my mind another sitcom I do like largely forgotten however is Chris Barrie in the Brittas Empire your thoughts on that mate ? Point of view welcome 😁

He is an amazing performer - no one comes even close to his talent we used to really look forward to the shows but they were so rare - now we know why - so expensive to put on. Stanley is 98 years young. Wonderful. Thanks for posting this.

Nobody had such a resume and portfolio as complete as Stanley Baxter. He did 100s of faces and accents and was 30 years ahead of his time and profession. A tremendous amount of hard work went into each and every sketch. Everything he did turned out immaculate. A true professional and legend.

His shows were brilliantly written and beautifully produced and must have cost a fortune to make. I don't think we'll ever see anything like them on television again.

Thank you for this! I love nostalgia, especially in these difficult times! I’m 50 now and I loved Stanley Baxter as a child. I’m a frustrated performer who was the triple threat, just like Stanley. Weirdly enough, my first impression was of May West, when I was no bigger than a flea and just like Stanley, I’d never seen her either, but somehow my family trained me to do her. “I may be instant, but I’m no push over”, that was my line!!! What a wonderful coincidence, makes me wonder how many kids were suffering the same child abuse….😉😜🤣
Ps I loved a Vesta, especially the chow mein, lol you had to add hot water coz it was dehydrated like space food 🤦‍♀️ goodness knows what was really in it!!! 😱🤣
