There are a couple of things I would like to mention. I have done some research and found out that online mode was made available on April 20th but cross platform is unfortunately not an option. I would also like to add that a comprehensive discussion would be needed on class balance. After playing online I have noticed that some classes can be perceived as OP, but at the same time it can be worth knowing when you see statistics of the ranking system that it consists of a mixture of different classes. Is it more about the player than the class? Is it your opinion that the classes are balanced, or not? Finally, I would also like to mention that the Nintendo Switch version of this game does not have a rollback system, which means that there is a risk that some will experience latency when playing online.
"he has a sword, which he can use to perform various melee attacks, which do damage". I love it, we've just completely abandoned all pretext of these channels providing useful information. What a refreshingly honest approach to content farming.
I'm so happy this game came out for the switch. I jumped on it as soon as it was available. Picked it up on launch day, Gamestop only had one copy left. I really liked the game on the steam deck. I also have it on the ps5. I must warn you all though, even though I really like this game, the characters are very unbalanced and some characters are very OP over other characters. The balancing issues in this game is very bad so keep that in mind. Can you still enjoy thr game even with these balancing issues? Sure you can.
Yup, this is what I fear when playing online. Facing classes that are very difficult to win against. As an example, I don't know if launcher is an OP class but I find it a challenge to counter her ranged attacks.
@@switcheydegamerThis game is on sale for $20 and was wondering if that is a good deal. I know absolutely nothing of this franchise other than word of mouth and I am no expert on DND or rpgs. But love fighting games.
@@robertbode2716 That's a big discount. At $20 it might be worth the money provided you appreciate 2D fighting games. Part of the whole is also playing online. And as long as there's a base of people to play against, it's definitely worth the money. There are obviously more aspects that could justify a purchase but this is a decent sized game with a lot of options, so for $20 I'd probably say it's worth the money.
Love this game! Is anyone else having issues with auto save/manual saving replays? I also wish there was a character model viewer and a free can mode but other than that, it’s fun! Kunoichi is my favorite.
@@jojo95DK it depends on your taste, I have played RPGs with worse story while others with better to very good story. For a fighting game the story deserves a honorable mention for being way above average.
@aaron6493 yeah true but let's be real, as far as FGs go, the average in solo content is laughably low I hope SFVI will encourage others to raise the bar, GBVS is pretty good though
That's good to hear! Personally, I thought they felt somewhat predictable and streamlined. Despite some epic elements (don't want to spoil), I was rarely surprised. Felt like it was a little too often about getting from point A to B, fighting a new opponent ..repeat.
I can tell you are not a veteran fighting game player, I couldnt tell you how frustrating it was to hear you call the stages, courses... Like if this was a racing game... Or when you called the stamina gauge the mana system as if it was an action RPG!
In all due respect I felt like you should have done a bit more research on this game’s history. The online IS NOT GOOD. It doesn’t have rollback. Rollback is 100% required for modern fighting games to prevent lag, and the PS and PC has it and not this. Not to mention they admitted the frame rate was not a stable 60fps. This isn’t a good port imo
Hi, thanks for your comment! My experience playing this game online on the Switch has been good so far. I have not experienced that my matches would have been affected by latency to any great extent. But maybe other players have a negative experience of running this game online, I don't know. But if it is as you say that the NS version does not have a rollback function, then of course it is a bit of a shame. Thanks for the information!
Disagree. I'm glad they made this game for the switch. I enjoyed it on the steam deck and I have it on the ps5 but I like the switch over the steam deck so I'm glad this game is here. As far as the load times, I guess I feel where you're coming from but the switch is 6 years old

Good to see this game finally coming to Switch. Here is hoping Guilty Gear and KOF ports will follow suit.
The game is beautiful on portable , the fighting is descent I like it
It's currently discounted on the Switch, so pick it up of you haven't
Oh I'm gonna! So stoked for this game.
I’ll get this when it’s on sale. I’m way more of a KOF guy and we haven’t got any new stuff yet, though I hear new KOF games are coming to Switch.
KOF 13 on switch love it

Yes 💯 that man must've met Lord Shenron The Dragon because....?!??...

The story mode is great.
It's barely okay

“Dungeon and fighters”? Its based off dungeon fighter online
I'll be picking this up, when the price drops. 👍
imagine if the switch had the mmo version of the game...
I can’t find the physical version of this game on Amazon. Does it even exist? 😢
I saw that play asia was selling it but it seems to be temporarily out of stock. www.play-asia.com/dnf-duel-multi-language/13/70g2mz

Needs Nintendo switch online to play ranked matches?
I spoke to the publisher who confirmed that you need Nintendo Online to play ranked matches.
I missed this review somehow 😮. I'm not into fighting games tho

There is a mana system in this game though, the blue meter is mp. Unless you're talking about something else

DnF, a niche franchise porting an unbalanced game onto the Switch is not a good look, and that 15-20 load time is not ideal for a fighting game.
