Literally stuck in the in-between you were talking about when I clicked on this video lol. My life itself is kind of in limbo and there's a lot I could do to the point of feeling overwhelmed and unsure where to start, as a result I end up not doing it but also not doing the fun things I want to either because I'm stressing about it.

Thanks for the video. I think my biggest problem is that for some reason physical and mental activities are completely different. I will climb a mountain, crawl to the top and die if I need to, but if I'm supposed to write like an essay or my dissertation at the moment, I just can't get myself to start. I probably should've worked with my hands rather than my brain, but it's quite hard for me to even imagine changing directions now, so thanks for the tips and definitely let us know if you discover something more please :D.

I relate to this sometimes. I know some people may point towards some potential mental disorders, and they may be valid. However, I'd try the thing with the timer and just sitting there for 10-15 minutes staring at the writing screen with notifications and other distractions turned off, and itemizing a list of things you'd need to start your essay. If you're someone who uses AI, you can use it to brainstorm and get started, like "hey I need to write an essay on potatoes, how should I start?" That way it seems like a conversation to get started rather than an amorphous task. Hope some of that can help!
