My man Trevor thank you so much for this video. I started implementing it today and have already seen significant improvement in speed and precision for choices. I used to take so much time trying to digest the passage then rush through questions, but this is much more efficient. I hope more people see this and try it out, its excellent. You're the man

Thank you so much!!! English is not my first language, and I was struggling to make sense of these huge passages. I am terribly slow reader too. I implemented the process you described, and my ability to not only read the passage but also answer the questions has improved significantly!! Thank you!!

Hi Trevor, I just want to thank you for helping me understand how to quickly digest CARS. As a former high-achiever, I was discouraged when I realized I forgot how to read efficiently and effectively. Many thanks, my CARS review is much more enjoyable now. (:

@@gurpreet131 started approaching passages differently. Stopped looking at it like a story and more like an argument from the author.

Thanks for the video… I was stuck in the SAT mindset that made me do well in the reading section. CARs is a whole new beast… the mental summaries were hard but I went from 127 to 129 with this with time to spare instead of panicking at the end. Thanks for much… if you don’t mind answering how should I deal with passage fatigue since I find myself getting sloppy towards the end and get more wrong at the last 1 or 2 passages?

Once you're comfortable with the strategy untimed, start doing timed sets to build mental cardio. Do 2 CARS sections back-to-back, no breaks, under timed conditions.
Start with soft timing, so you're conscious of the time, but you don't stop when you hit the time limit. You just mark where you were when you hit the time limit, and then what time it is when you finish both sections. Once you can consistently do both sections under time, you can do hard timing with one section at a time, stopping and restarting if you don't complete the whole section under time.

Interesting Process! Been using it and found some success with it. Only question I have is how do you tackle "Beyond the Text" questions with this method since you have to understand the passage as a whole to answer these questions.

Still works! If your summaries are good, you can combine them to get a good enough understanding of the passage as a whole to answer those questions.

Only question I have is what would you do if the many paragraphs that are very short or there are like only 3 sentences that are extremely long. I feel that it could lead slow readers to the same problem😭

What about beyond the text reasoning type questions? How would this method help?
