Why did you say "The Zoo Staff Are Monkeys" ?
After trying different proposed ways of understanding and solving Must Be True questions, and still not getting it; this video was a godsend, thank you.
Hi, do you ever keep track of obvious signs of other voices of viewpoints or opinions in the passage by highlighting or underlining them? Or do you refer back to it/find it when necessary like you did in the demonstration?
the latter
Thank you for your explanation, Trevor.
I hate C for the first question. It says two "other" phenomena are connected . What other two? There are only two
The first two correlated phenomena are the sales of gum and the stock market. The other causally connected phenomena are unsuccessful stock trading and buying of small luxuries. I don’t like that answer choice either.
Hi Trevor, I just want to thank you for helping me understand how to quickly digest CARS. As a former high-achiever, I was discouraged when I realized I forgot how to read efficiently and effectively. Many thanks, my CARS review is much more enjoyable now. (:
Only question I have is what would you do if the many paragraphs that are very short or there are like only 3 sentences that are extremely long. I feel that it could lead slow readers to the same problem😭
THIS IS TRANSFORMING 🙌
thank you so much! this helped alot
I needed this. Thank you!! Very easy to understand your explanation
Thanks for the video… I was stuck in the SAT mindset that made me do well in the reading section. CARs is a whole new beast… the mental summaries were hard but I went from 127 to 129 with this with time to spare instead of panicking at the end. Thanks for much… if you don’t mind answering how should I deal with passage fatigue since I find myself getting sloppy towards the end and get more wrong at the last 1 or 2 passages?
Once you're comfortable with the strategy untimed, start doing timed sets to build mental cardio. Do 2 CARS sections back-to-back, no breaks, under timed conditions. Start with soft timing, so you're conscious of the time, but you don't stop when you hit the time limit. You just mark where you were when you hit the time limit, and then what time it is when you finish both sections. Once you can consistently do both sections under time, you can do hard timing with one section at a time, stopping and restarting if you don't complete the whole section under time.
Thanks Trevor !
did not really like logic explanation
What about beyond the text reasoning type questions? How would this method help?
Still works! If your summaries are good, you can combine them to get a good enough understanding of the passage as a whole to answer those questions.
Really? Wow
I’m so happy I’ve found your channel. I can’t wait to purchase your LSAT guides after I book a mini consultation. Thank you so much
Interesting Process! Been using it and found some success with it. Only question I have is how do you tackle "Beyond the Text" questions with this method since you have to understand the passage as a whole to answer these questions.
Still works! If your summaries are good, you can combine them to get a good enough understanding of the passage as a whole to answer those questions.
its been over 20 years since i did maths so this gmat section is ripping me apart. thank you for this simple hack!!! 1 more pain point off my list, yey!
Yes
Please explain why answer b on question is incorrect. I don't seem to understand your logic behind removing the answer.
The tricky thing I had to realize is the staff isn’t preparing food specifically for the monkeys, but for the entire zoo. The monkeys just happened to get most of it.
This is beautiful, I hope it will enhance my reading skills. Since it's hand for me to read certain words
My man Trevor thank you so much for this video. I started implementing it today and have already seen significant improvement in speed and precision for choices. I used to take so much time trying to digest the passage then rush through questions, but this is much more efficient. I hope more people see this and try it out, its excellent. You're the man
Thank you so much!!! English is not my first language, and I was struggling to make sense of these huge passages. I am terribly slow reader too. I implemented the process you described, and my ability to not only read the passage but also answer the questions has improved significantly!! Thank you!!
Thank you very much! Really helpful
read the first and last sentence for each paragraph, predict - thanks for the tip, I will to see if this strategy helps me
Trevor, I like your simplest explanation for the way NCARB want to test: legally necessary, cheapest way, environmental
Excuse me, can I repeat the exam too many times or just can take the exam one time in my life? 😂
You can take as many as you like till you pass the exam
brutal explanation. For example, what if I genuinly thought B was right? His help for that possiblity was "obviously B is wrong" thanks , that really helps...
Thank you for your videos. Why is "because of its skimming along the top of the atmosphere" grammatically incorrect. I would greatly appreciate if you could explain why that is wrong. Why after because is it required to have an active verb? thanks
This video changed my CARS performance. Thank you
how so?
@@gurpreet131 started approaching passages differently. Stopped looking at it like a story and more like an argument from the author.
how much different is the lsat reading comp than the ACT? I got a really good score on the act reading so I am wondering if it will correlate.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
One of the best advice I’ve seen in less than three minutes. Thank you brother.

ou state that a sentence can only have one and only one independent clause (unless there is a semicolon). THIS IS FALSE. FANBOYS CAN CONNECT TWO INDEPENDENT CLAUSES IN ONE SENTENCES. I am studying hard for the GMAT, so I can get a good score!
If there's a conjunction, it's no longer an independent clause.

Good
Hey Trevor. I ended up getting a 770 (q50 v44). Your sentence correction book was of great help. I'm thinking of shooting for 780-800 next year. Any advice?
Congrats! My advice is to not retake the test, to be honest. There's no school in which you'd get an advantage by having an 800 over a 770.
Do you feel that this method is effective for all passages? I noticed that the last will throw in passages with extremely complex language, concepts and ideas that I’m not familiar with and it throws my RC score off significantly
Yup. You just need to be ok with not understanding the terms, and just picking up the shifts in points of view.
can you post your email? the one on the video is not working
Trevor at trevorkleetutor.com
Can this method be used for all the logic game types?
Yup
Thanks a lot Trevor, this was really helpful.
it actually exactly matches our discription
Why is C wrong?
In the second example right? exactly what I thought, first premise said students in south are more conservative and students in east are liberal, but the second premise said the orientation is independent of region, option C follows from the first premise but refutes the second premise. pretty confusing. I think option C would be correct if the word 'originally' wasn't there.
Thanks a lot it's very useful video to better your rc but the tricks you are showing are bit lengthy. But would you please make a video on how to get difficult rc right in a fast manner and some exercises to get at it.
I also find that you should do the general questions (main point, author's tone) first and then do more specific questions. This saves time.
Hummmmm interesting process. I'll give it a try as a struggling slow reader! thanks !
How’d it go?
Why is it "I enjoy running" instead of "I enjoy to run"
In that example, running is serving as a noun, like "I enjoy the activity of running".
@@trevorklee308 Thank you, is there any way to differentiate between when to construct the sentence with a gerund vs. an infinitive?
@@andrewzeng366 Meaning. But most of the time when there's a verb + verb you should use an infinitive.
