I literally just took my AAMC FL 1 and scored terribly in CARS. I couldn't understand why I was getting these questions wrong until I applied your methodology. I feel so relieved from the immediate results!!! Thank you so much.
Currently shooting for 100th percentile, practice tests are very promising. Thank you for your advice thus far I've noticed a 2-3 percentile boost from advice like yours. If I achieve such a score, I will produce similar content to aid the rest. This framework is how I approach CARS, so it's vindicating to see we've arrived at the same conclusion. Thank you for putting this out there!
I love thissss, if you guys take suggestions can you do a similar video on how to generally approach science passages? I’ve incorporated yall’s flowchart method but I still lose focus through some harder topics (i had a passage on uworld about black holes fml)
Ok a passage on black holes sounds so fun tho😂 we’ll make a video in science passages soon! Check out our strategies playlist for more tips on them in the meantime:-)
Struggled with CARS the entire prep. Failed a passage miserably prior to watching. Got a 75% after applying your tricks on the next passage. Thank you ma'am for sharing!
That’s actually so sweet bc that’s what John did for me (Maggie)🥹 some people still don’t know he is my brother and was my tutor for the MCAT! Thank you for the love, we’ll be here for you🫶🏼
@@InformingFutureDoctors Aww that's really great that John tutored you! I can tell you guys have a great relationship. I actually have a son and a daughter as well, and hope that they can someday get along as well as you two! 😂 Keep up the great work- you never know who you're helping :)
Not only am I not gonna find the information in the passages on the internet, it’s the last thing so I’m out of there with the secrets I’m gonna learn on the MCAT real quick, after I’ve already read the questions ahead of time so I quickly realize when I see something that a question is about as well as what privileged information it could pertain to.
For the framework vs the main idea towards the end you mentioned writing a sentence? Do you mean that the framework is mental note and towards the end actually write it down?
In other words, just do a reverse-engineered essay's outline, with thesis and conclusion, and each idea's bullet points. This is what English Comp classes are for. Harder to write something properly than to deconstruct it to distill the outline.
Great video....what were the core textbooks did you use to prepare for the mcat? Like from college courses? And did you take any higher level courses to supplement your preparation for the mcat? Can you perhaps make a video on it? Thanks!
CARS is killing me right now & this video couldn't have come at a better time. Also, while you were making this video I think someone ransacked your apartment.
The origin of pancake mix 😂😂 Bur seriously, thank you for this video! You’re informing (hopefully) future doctors, who will have the ability to save and change lives. Please take pride in that. Thank you

Can you talk about what to do when your stuck between two "good" answers or answers that are ok? I would greatly apppreciate it!

Thank you Maggie 🙏🏼 appreciate you and John for helping us! Happy Holidays
I wish you made this video where you wrote down things cuz it helps me since I am a visual learner, but good video overall!
Noted!:-)

In the future you have to read a whole book on the cars section of the mcat.
I hope it’s ACOTAR
I’m striving to leave more questions on the MCAT than I answer, because I don’t take smack.
Its about pancake mix. 😆
That’d actually be more interesting than most CARS passages🙃
