Dear Shroom! 8 years ago i gave up on fishing after not really catching anything...After seeing your videos, I was inspired to try again. Went and got some kmart lures... bang! Hooked a bream after like a billion casts hahahaha thanks for the inspiring vids + tutorials! p.s love the kmart challenges!!!
Go buy yourself something better than Kmart quality with some decent 8-12lb leader and it won’t take you 1000 casts to catch a fish

The old Jackall Chubby Deep/Mid 38 floating in Ghost Gil and Ghost Ayu upgraded with Owner ST36BC size 12 trebles smeared with Mega Strike fish attractant are killers of Bream in Georges River, many older tournament guys of the 2000s this was their go to lure set up.
Yep high sticking them at high tide with a very simple rolling action over the ribbon weed beds and structures they certainly show interest and still do.
So many choices these day's of different hard bodies but one must remember to keep your hands/fingers from out board fuel and oil smell, no sunblock on hands, no food or even the smell of aftershave any smell can stuff up the days fishing..... smelly fishy fingers seem to work ok mate🤔 🤣 PS: Have in your kit a tackle back lure retriever, these things have saved me several hundreds of dollars retrieving stuck lures.
I love hardbodys except that it's 20 dollars gone when one is lost.

Smells like flathead 😂 heres a tip shroomdog, get yourself a victorinox swiss army knife. Get the one with scissors and mini alligator grip perfect for dehooking fish and trimming line. Ill see you on that Parramatta river

Thank you for great video and the challenge of hardbodies lures. What do you think about using small snap to connect line to lure compared with tying directly leader/lure?
I got poor eyesight and concreter hands, find it difficult to tie on the field especially with small leader like 4lb.
Sure not a problem. I prefer no snap it as it can only be a neutral or slight negative to the catch rates but if you change lures a lot or it helps you fish (difficulty tying knots) then it’s worth it

There was a ripper hardship body came out in 2015 as well went head to head with softies 2015 seen heaps of new technology found them sakana xd 40 f out of the 6 in my set green legend and chill red and plasma red 🥇 winners. Austackle hard body's crank vibe was good as well lava prawn all time hard body's but wereKASAKURA HAD DEEP SHALLOW 35MM AND 42MM OUTA THE 4 POLAR SHAD S HORNET MAGIC BLOODY LURES.

@@ShroomFishing not cheap 2015 was expensive. If ya after big big bream ie black best igot was few 470mm to480mm pikey they love 😍 the ORIKANEMUSHI. the one brown with pink spot on head and orange one no spot on top of head black body with yellow spot on head was good as well ENJOY. STAY SAFE.

hey shroom wanted to get your opinion on the length of rods. i am looking into buying a 23 td black rod and i am stuck between the scratchy 702lfs and the sugapop 782lfs both with the same cast weight and line rating with the only difference being an 8 inch length difference. i will be using walk the dog lures, soft plastics and jerk hardbodies like the slippery dog and the double clutch. i was wondering if the 8 inch difference will effect my experience on the water with casting and working the lures. let me know and love your vids.
It's personal preference. I prefer the right length for the job. If you have a reason for longer length like longer cast distance then go the sugapop. The scratchy should be superior for working lures and in close work
