Great video! I love vids about nedrig! Hope you will make more in the future like fishing the ned on secondary points deeper water and rocky bottom, or fishing it on flats.
AWESOME timing, and video instruction. Couldn’t be better timing considering I just got a couple packs of the 6th Sense Ned Rig baits in the mail. Planning on using your info, along with the baits, to catch me a good one this weekend. Thank you for all your (extremely) helpful advice and tips!
I use the Alberto knot all the time and use nail clippers to cutoff the fluorocarbon leader as close to knot as possible and use scissors to cut off the braid tag. If there is any flared end on the braid cut, I use needle nose pliers to hold the knot so the fuzz end of the braid sticks out of the pliers but the knot is protected and burn the fuzz end off with a cigarette lighter. I have never had a failed knot and it runs through the guides better.
I could use some advise. Of the few times I've fished a ned, I seem to get an awful lot of line twist in the braid. I'm trying my best to hook the little critter as straight as possible but in the end, the twist happens. Thoughts & suggestions?
IMO you need gloves to properly cinch an alberto. The braid should change color (darker) if it’s really biting in. Been using the FG more. Hard to tie on the water, but shoots thru the guides.
Box cutter works way better for cutting braid! I use scissors for mono lines. But anything 20lb braid or higher I will just use a box cutter to eliminate fray
I love the ned rig. I make a killer coreshot ned soft plastic. I inject the core and reinject the shell. And the result is a center that differentiates the outer shell. Big bass have swallowedd my neds. Check my youtube shorts on what a coreshot looks like its my favorite molds i have 5 coreshot molds. Coreshot you will never see in any store or anyone sell because of how much extra work goes into making them.
Got a solution for your lost scissors problem. I picked up one of those reels that clips to your belt and has a ring on the end for keys. The ring on the end on mine I've got a pair of fingernail clippers. The other end of it is nice I can hook it on my belt loop if I'm bank fishing or clip it in one of the rings in my life jacket. But then wherever I'm at and grab it clip it let go and it pulls right back and at least I know where it is and then I don't have to look for it.
Its almost unbelievable how easy it is in the US to catch some decent sized fish. In switzerland u will spend days after days on all kinds of lakes without even feeling a bite, just because most kinds of fish are about to be extinct soon…
If you're breaking 15lb test line with drag and you fish more than a couple times - you're incompetent You can catch bass on 2lb line and never break the line if you're adept Don't use 15lb test on a tiny spinning reel 10 absolute max.
Apparently due to hook getting deep in gullet and or in tongue/gill area where they bleed alot. Cant recall whi h proangler said it but ive kinda stayed away from ned because of it.
Never had an issue using the ned rig on a medium light, fast action. Hence, the reason why u use the braid to leader and med.fast rod to detect the bite faster. This allows the correct hook set. Now if you just take tooo long to set the hook, then you can potentially hook-gut the bass
Dont understand the "bait hate" around NEDS .. I love these things. Turned around many difficult days for me.. 🇿🇦
Ignore that crap, puts more fish in ,screw ,em
Neds are absolutely the go to rig
I just found the Boosa 3.3 at Walmart. I bought 3 packs of different colors. I am amazed with this bait. It’s awesome and durable
They are pretty awesome!
I really like that Alberto knot for two thin lines. The Albright is good for 1 thick line to 1 thin line

I can try that!
Great video!!! Thanks for the tips!!! Stay Safe & God Bless!!! 🤠👍
Love your content and how quick you get to the info. I've learned a lot!
Thank you I appreciate it!

Good luck!
Thanks for the video. Sent it to my sister who will be visiting this year. Plan on trying this on Dale Hollow and Watts Bar.
Thanks!
Great tutorial lots of information and fine point tips
Thank you!

It’s a great knot!
Recently been getting into allot of river fishing from a kayak in Ohio for smallmouth. This video was very helpful. Thank you!
Thank you!

Usually I don’t get twist in my braid but my leader. Try manually closing your bail after a cast and ensure it’s in the roller!

I use the same knot and 7 times is very important, thanks Nathan !
Thank you!
could you use the BFS pole and reel to fish this ned rig as well ??
Yep
You absolutely could!
Good presentation! Merci Nathan!
Keep It Simple! Sedona all day 👌👍
Thanks!
Try the Big TRD on a ZMan Power Finesse head. Little bigger presentation for a little bigger fish.
I’ll give it a shot!
Nice detailed video,thanks for sharing.
Thank you!
Good video, good info, nice format, attentive editing 0 bullshit. Thanks bro!
Thank you!
great stuff.👍👍👍

These things work like majic for me.
You should try the Missile Ned Bomb

I will check it out!
How to fish it in the weeds that are almost to the surface
Have you tried surface bates like frogs and whopper ploppers?
I usually would choose another bait!
@@Man_Emperor_of_Mankind Most bass fishing advice is for reservoir fishing or smallmouths in open water.
As a mostly shore fisherman, I've really struggled with neds from shore. Lots of snags
Tex-pose the hook.
I usually try to lighten the head when that happens
They have vmc Texas rig Ned hooks I like using cuz I have the same problem with exposed hooks but those help alot. Check em out!

there are some states here that are not like this :/
Do you get very many Northerns hitting the Ned?
Occasionally!

My success with Ned’s are either a slam dunk or a nothing burger, seems to be no in between ..
Yes bot logically that would apply to every lure.
@@Chasin_Baitman I suppose so ..
Just depends on the day!
Ive heard that the neg rig kills more fish than other rigs, whats your opinion
I don’t know how that would be
Apparently due to hook getting deep in gullet and or in tongue/gill area where they bleed alot. Cant recall whi h proangler said it but ive kinda stayed away from ned because of it.
Worm fishing in general has those hazards, other than trying harder to detect a bit. Any thoughts on trying to prevent these injuries
I’ve not had this issue at all
