    I think you are paying for the incredible technology, unmatched by any other electric car. Best batteries, best charging. Be proud America you have produced the best car in the world .

    • @kaoriisdriving
      @kaoriisdriving  Рік тому +1

      thats true , it does have impressive technology. I missed displaying a lot of cool features, but I figured there's loads of videos out there that show all of that anyways.

      You forgot to mention the farts! Does BMW or Mercedes have that amazing technology?? 😂

    • @andrewcumming6319
      @andrewcumming6319 Рік тому

      Sadly no, BMW, Mercedes, and any other car manufacturer do not have the same advanced technology. They have opulent interiors, some quite nice others tasteless. Tesla's simplistic interiors have timeless beauty.

      Everything that is posted I'd say is true! My opinion is EV's are still new and unproven technology. If people are willing to shell out top $$ and be 'testers' more power to them!

      @@kv1930 imagine if we stick with old technology and never move on, you’ll be typing this with a typewriter or using smoke signals 😝

    It's an interesting view that you have regarding how car people don't care for EVs. I have been driving my Model Y to car meets in the PNW and it gets far more attention than it should. Most people think Teslas are too expensive for them, but the prices have come down so much and people who don't pay attention to EVs don't notice the price drops.

    • @kaoriisdriving
      @kaoriisdriving  Рік тому +1

      agreed. I think theres a lot of people out there who view teslas as luxury / high class cars, when in reality, theyre just good EV's and a lot more affordable than most think.

    Was this shot out by the Gilgo / Jones Beach area? In regards to custumiization, there are active exhausts for Teslas that make them sound like ICE cars. Check out "miltek" and "thor" active exhausts. It would be kinda trippy to see a tesla fly by sounding like a Lamborghini.

      Haha that sounds pretty funny. And yep around there! This was shot at Robert Moses beach and nearby

    You nail it about not expecting a luxury car. The interiors are spartan compared to even a new Corolla. Ive riden in taxis that were nicer really. The wood grain is nice but they really need to jazz things up. Also the exterior styling is boring. My impression is from reading the positive comments is the people who don’t really use a car for pleasure fall in love with Tesla because then all of a sudden they realize they can be an enthusiast while still using a car basically as a toaster. That’s basically what the Tesla is , a fast electric toaster on wheels.

    • @kaoriisdriving
      @kaoriisdriving  Рік тому

      Haha very good point! A true enthusiast can see the flaws and also the pros of the model Y more easily than an average consumer

    Did you take into account the additional storage are in the rear? Or the Frunk? You do know it has available acceleration boost that knocks another second of your 0-69 time?
    Did you think about reviewing a Model Y performance? It is 3.5 seconds 0-60 150mph top speed , lowered and has bigger brakes and wheels. It also includes a “Track Mode” for high speed antics.
    Overall a good review for a first pass, but there is a lot more to the Model Y than you mentioned.

      oh im sure there is! I mostly focus on sports cars, and I dont feel its very necessary for me to go into the nitty gritty on features since there are lots of videos displaying all of the great features the car comes with. This is simply just my first impressions on the car. It's not a performance edition because this was the car I was able to book for the shoot! Thanks for your comment, hope you stick around!

      I have a model Y and agree with two of the items in your review. That being said, You can't fairly evaluate a family car with a mindset/bias for a sports car. I would have reviewed the performance model, to be fair. Also, reviewing an EV car without considering the charging network and other necessities (such as service, insurance, OTA, etc) for operating the car has to be considered an incomplete review. I give your review a _😆

    Bit of learning curve like a phone or most things...regen braking can be set to your preferences including mimicking an ICE with auto trans. In your description/demo it was set high.
    (naturally all personal settings, mirrors, seat, aircon, track mode? lol....will travel with you and your phone so if using a rental at airport?...step in and it's *your way* already)
    Aftermarket screens to be mounted in front of steering wheel and HUD options too, available I believe.

      @Bo McGillacutty exactly, I just love Tesla because it is so convenient, in and out the car without boring lock or unlock or forgot key inside the car and got locked!! Cloud profile is another super convenient feature!!

    As a Tesla Model Y LR owner I can tell you it is not too fast, many cars are faster, however, the Tesla is very quick.
    Like the other media you need to understand fast related to top speed, quick refers to acceleration.

    Good demo. You need to take a trip and update your review. It takes a few day to figure out that the stuff you think you need . You really dont need it.

    I’m also not a fan of the nomenclature. Model Y. Model S etc. Sounds like an Orwellian solution to in some automotive distopia. There are more compelling vehicles like the Cadillac Lyric and Jaguar EPace , even the Mustang Mach E gives you more eye candy while still offering you the same or better range, and certainly more comfort. And yes style. I don’t wanna be driving the Birkenstock of electric cars. Sorry. ( for those who I may offend, I could have said Crocs )

    I was disappointed with your “looks” score. If you compare it with others similar crossovers the Model Y it’s a lot better looking than most, except the Ioniq 5.

      Used to own a lifted jeep XJ lol. I just prefer smaller cars because they’re more fun. More agile / nimble and overall just simpler. Also I currently own a first gen Tundra. Extended bed & double cab 👍🏼 love that thing (it’s p much my daily)

    Too fast is like brakes are too good, handles TOO WELL or you're too rich or too good looking.
    (hint--respect all of the above)
