I used to have a GO as a kid but I paid dust to it. Realized how much I missed out on so I got myself a black 3000 early this year. God I absolutely love it. Wish I could’ve had the 3000 when the PSP was still in its prime
My first psp was a 3000 back in like 2008 or so now I have a 1000 and it definitely feels much heavier which is a good and bad thing the 3000 would feel kinda cheap at times due to it feeling so light
Sometimes the psp does feel cheap like plasticy cheap made stuff from China, but honestly it looks really beautiful, and you have to understand it's made like that to feel lighter and slimmer in your pocket and hands! I personally love both but lately I've been playing a lot with my 3000s. I actually picked up a 2000 star wars edition and modded that one too! They're all great honestly!
Bro its so ahead of its time. The PS vita was a major flop, but the psp still holds up, I love just looking at it, I have a blue, red and gold one now, I figured to get them before its too late lol, now the prices skyrocketed!
I have both the 1000 and 3000 and I have to say the 3000 is hands down better and the best of them all. The psp 1000 has ghosting in certain games, especially if you mod yours and play retro games like sonic 2, genesis, death and return of superman you will notice a lot of ghosting and if you play it on the 3000 you will notice a big difference. The only thing I give the 1000 is heavier, but that doesn't matter to me as I have gotten use to my psp 3000 and it kinda feels heavier in my hands could be the battery that's adding weight to it.
Honestly i have gotten a lot more used to the light nature of the psp 3000, but also, how badass would it be if sony released a new revamped HD OLED PSP 4000? Would be a genius marketing tactic imo!

true, its very durable and resistant to scratches and damage, I think the psp 2000 is probably the worst of all, because it has all the slimness of the 3000, and none of the durability of the 1000, and none of the improvements that were made on the 3000, making the 2000 the worst psp model, especially with analog stick problems and glitches.
I still prefer 3000 more than 1000 for one reason, that being it can play some later games released without stutter issues unlike psp 1000 (tested it on gow: ghost of sparta and its close to unplayable). But anything else aside that, 1000's weight and curve feels much more suited, the battery capacity is higher, it has rough textured back, so it won't get scratched easily, umd hinge has better lock/unlock mechanism, analog stick is more easier to replace without taking off some parts.
Yeah the 1000 feels more like the prototype glass but the 3000 was really polished and refined, it's definitely the better performance out of them, 2000 was the faulty 3000 that was not well made tbh

Not really usefull in terms of playing games. They bumb up the ram because of the TV out, PSP 1000 is fine playing games and you don't really need tv out.
I have to 2nd what See Sharp said, in terms of these games, I dont think ram would do much for performance, I think it would just speed up the process for things like accessing files faster, and being able to boot up music, videos, games slightly faster than before, although for gameplay, I dont see much of a boost by upgrading the ram.
well the 1000 has more of a heavy duty feeling, it has extra bulk especially around the battery pack side, so if you like something that feels heavier, then 1000 is better for you, but I still prefer the 3000 because of its lightness and the buttons still feel nice and mushy, it just feels lighter than the 1000 for sure, probably half as light as the 1000!

@@andrewalvarez5120 you can check your battery information in system settings, make sure it says how much % your battery has left, sometimes it doesn't show properly, if the psp is not working right, but usually it just needs a fresh new battery!
@@andrewalvarez5120 you can find batteries on Amazon but just check the reviews I just bought one for my PSP 3000 because it didn't come with a battery but it works and turns on but has to be plugged in so it's supposed to be here Saturday
@@retrox64games Are you using original batteries or aftermarket?
i own a 1000 and thinking of buying a 3000 for less ghosting and double ram
Oh yeah Def get a 3000, it's so worth the investment, I don't play as much anymore but the things you can do with it, so ahead of its time!
@@retrox64games do you think i should spend about $50 more for a vita?
@subculturebith1616 I have a vita and honestly it looks nice but it's whatever because there's not much games for it even when it's modded, yes you can put adrenaline psp emulator on it but I just prefer playing my gba emulator and full psp games on my psps. It's up to you tbh, I love the look of ps vita but their games collection are a bit disappointing! Good luck and lmk if you have any questions! 😀
@@retrox64games thank you for your advice!! :D ill continue to ponder about it since it is a steep price at $154 cad 😭
Do you know if all umd games on the psp 1000 can be played on a psp 3000?
Yeah they all work
@@retrox64games Which PSP do you prefer??
@@gookawild5543 I prefer the 3000 just because they are slimmer and sleeker, and are overall more updated, they also have a built in microphone and an anti-glare screen
@@retrox64games I agree with your points except the sleekness. Wouldn't the 1000 win in that category? I heard the plastic on the 3000 feels "cheap"?

the mainest of the main: double the ram
Not really usefull in terms of playing games. They bumb up the ram because of the TV out, PSP 1000 is fine playing games and you don't really need tv out.
I have to 2nd what See Sharp said, in terms of these games, I dont think ram would do much for performance, I think it would just speed up the process for things like accessing files faster, and being able to boot up music, videos, games slightly faster than before, although for gameplay, I dont see much of a boost by upgrading the ram.
What would you say in terms of buttons i mean is any more mushy than the other? I love that feel on d pad and the 4 action buttons
well the 1000 has more of a heavy duty feeling, it has extra bulk especially around the battery pack side, so if you like something that feels heavier, then 1000 is better for you, but I still prefer the 3000 because of its lightness and the buttons still feel nice and mushy, it just feels lighter than the 1000 for sure, probably half as light as the 1000!
Mine also bet both 1000 and 3000
It's just same
sometimes in life you feel like u alread made it, overrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr E
How to mod it?
Psp 3000 are like 2x the price of 1000s on many shopping websites
really? I find good deals on mercari and ebay, try offerup and facebook market too!
dude thats sick! i like pickles!
Doesn’t 3000 have lcd screen??
Can you still get full psp roms on the 1000
yep you can, its easier than ever actually
@@retrox64games I've seen a 1000 for £30 standard and a 3000 for £70 already modded . Is it worth the extra money for the 3000 because modding is free ain't it? But is the 3000 worth 40 more because of the screen quality etc
modding is free bro, dont pay someone, there's plenty of great tutorials online! @@CM-1723
I think i have a 2000 cuz i have some features of the 3000 and some of 1000
Yeah you must have a 2000 then, if its a slim console but the psp logo on the back has a thick solid silver circle around it, then its definitely a 2000!
@@retrox64games yeah i figured it out after a bit more research
Can i have one? lmao

thanks man, I think!
TRUMP 2024!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
