THANK YOU!!! I got a new K beater, but it wasn't low enough in the bowl... we couldn't figure out how to do it - after watching your video we realised the nut was just stuck really tight. A clamp and a spanner fixed the problem!!

That is so wonderful Suzanne I am so pleased the video helped, and that your new K beater is set to mix up a perfect dish :) I learned the hard way with a scratched bowl haha :) so thought I would do a video on the issue. Hope you have a fantastic weekend and bank holiday Monday warm wishes Rose :) and thank you so much for your comment makes me want to make more videos :)

p.s. Scrub that! I took the shaft all the way out, tapped the nut and that unstuck it! It's now fixed and working. Thank you so very much! :)

The explanation Kenwood gives about adjusting the whiskers, beaters and dough hooks is rather cryptic... Thanks EtCaH for this visual instruction.

I am so greatful for your video; at 2.52 how you explain "how to adjust the hight of the doughhook". I struggle with this for about 10 years and was just about to bin the Kenwood. Thank you!!

I wish I saw this video earlier today. I just stretched my white glass bowl badly. Using this mixer for 25 years. I was not even aware that the mixing tool is adjustable 🤦‍♀️

This is brilliant thanks! I overloaded the bowl when making bread a few years ago and haven't been able to get the k-beater to engage in the housing since. Your video has shown me how to adjust it, and fortunately I still have the spanner :) Unfortunately, though, the knut seems to be stuck on the shaft, so that although I can loosen the nut and move the whole thing up or down I can't adjust the gap between the top of the knut and the two horizontal metal bars. I can see that the gap on my other beater (which does fit) is slightly larger. Do you have any experience of how to unstick the nut? Many thanks!

Hi Mia Neem, sorry for the late reply I broke my collar bone and other life stuff happened. I loved your comment, thank you so very much. I am so glad you got it sorted and now the k beater beats at the correct level. I also kept looking and looking until I worked it out that is why I have such a big spanner I was so thrilled I wanted to get to it straight away lol... Thanks again for watching and hope to see you again on my channel I will be back in full very shortly and will uploading again. hugs and cheers Rose :)

Interesting that your bowl wobbles in the machine - mine doesn’t. I wondered if you still have the foam pad under the bowl plate? Or maybe the foam pad has compressed with age. You can buy a new 14 cm rubber bowl mat which would eliminate the wobble. You may then need to adjust the tools again slightly - they should be carefully set so the bottom doesn’t make contact with the bowl and it’s just possible to slide a piece of paper underneath. If you do the nut hand tight you can make minor adjustments, then nip it up when you’ve got the tool height just right.
