    In general, the TI units are faster in response to inputs. This is seen when quickly switching between sonar, downscan, chart, and split screens ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxeAxH15LxhjGlg5-CRYqjTGTEH0tbY4vk recommend The Hook units will show some lag on button pushes and screen switching. The big ticket item though is maps. If you install a mapping card such as Navionics or the free C-Map Genesis which has a lot of map detail, then moving around the map with the cursor or when running down the lake can lag significantly on the Hook units, but is seamless with the TI units.

    Considering everything is made of plastic even the mounting bracket, the lest vexlar could have done is included the S cable and sold for the same price!

    my flasher shows a constant signal at 14 ft regardless of my location on the lake? I can adjust the gain down to remove the signal but when i'm fishing at 60ft I don't want to reduce it etc. my ducer is clean, unit is brand new only on the ice a couple times. Thoughts?

      @@chrisgarone349 that's just a nice way of saying they'll charge as much as they can get away with for a bare bones product. They haven't even added a charge indicator or anything in 10 years. Not good enough for this consumer.

      @@thermal1580 meh it's a cheap and effective unit for beginners that aren't ready to drop 600+ on a real flasher

      @@chrisgarone349 when you're right you're right. Still, they aren't all THAT cheap. Sony and Blackberry thought they could keep selling the same products for the same price forever too.

      @chrisgarone349 5 років тому

      @@thermal1580 oh I know. Hopefully they do go down because when they do the more expensive ones will also decrease in price hopefully. And I guess it depends how you look at it as far as cheap is concerned. Compared to the Xl7 or Panoptics they are cheap but ya they are still 300 bucks and for 150 more you could get a much better one imo

    Do you recommend a trickle charger during long term storage? Also, how close does another flasher user need to be in order to pick up interference? Thanks in advance.

    Are you using an s-cable for this image in shallow water?

    My flasher works when plugged into the charger, it says the battery is fully charged on the plug in, but when I unplug the quick connect it doesn’t work. Is that a bad battery?
