Amazing video! Enjoyed watching.
Cody nice job dude
Thanks!
Nice !
Love the video, I run the same unit. I was curious how you ran a live feed with Active Captain to your phone I’ve done the steps but nothing pops up for me.
Have to have the GPSmap unit
Great video . I thought you had to change the transducer head angle to go from forward to down ?
Not always
This is a very helpful video. I've been running a Vexilar for years but am very seriously considering getting a Livescope next year. For someone thats never used one, is it pretty easy to learn how to use it? Thanks!
Absolutely easy to learn!
Have you had to upgrade software? Is it involved to do?
I have. It’s not bad at all!
So you dont tilt your ducer on the live scope when switching from down mode to forward mode?
On the fly I do not
Where are the location..?
One more question. Does the pole mount right to that shuttle or do you have to carry them together (but not technically attached/bundled up)? Have you found a good way to transport the livescope when using an ATV/Snowmobile?
Carry separately. And typically I will keep it in its own box for travel.
@@CodyS Thanks man!
How do you like the eskape, any pros or cons
I love it! Lots of space to fish and many small things that make a big difference out on the water.
Another tip, swing your transducer sideways to help locate schools with the Vexilar.
Good tip!
I got both and the livescope doesn’t mean you catch a lot mor fish that’s for sure
Lmao I saw you last weekend at the gas station
Say Hi!
And how did you switch to forward mode without adjusting your transducer up.
You just switch to forward mode!
@@CodyS Guess I meant the angle in forward mode is still OK without needing to click one notch up?
@@rogerburton904 Yes its still ok, I do that all the time.
What live scope pole do you use?
Looks like summit, but summit is usually silver colored
Summit
So with active captain you dont need to physically change ducer angle of is that the 34
I have the 32 but active captain has nothing to do with ducer angle. You don’t always necessarily need to change your ducer angle when switching between down and forward.
So do you keep it in down mode mostly?
@sabrinaboston9289 Yes I do unless scouting for schools or structures.
Oh hell yes!$$$$$
What's the exact brand of the livescope?
Garmin Livescope LVS32
Are you running lv 34 or lv 32?
32
Thanks! I’m running lv 32 on a 93 sv. Seems like my forward mode is only good out to about 50ft when ice fishing. Any suggestions?
@@matthewschutt7409 what’s your water depth? Typically you won’t get out 50’ in shallower water.
what kind of rod & line are you using?
Pan Sizzler from Della Bay, and 3lb test.
You can use code CSFISHING at Della Bay to save yourself some $$!
put your livescope in a sled and drag around
if you turn your gain down the fish won’t feel the ping as much
These fish are very very sensitive. Even the Vex turned all the way down spooks them at times.
My LX7 is what I use for hole hopping. I dont own a livescope so it's overrated atm due to the price
your eyes just get a garmin striker can do 2 jobs
Why do you keep calling that poor guy by his brother's name?? ,🤣🤣🤣
😂 oops
Regulations need put in place for live scopes. Like it can only be used for catch and release fishing.
That’ll never happen
Then so should hd contour maps and side scan, right?
@@FindingAdventure For inland lakes YES
@@radvalve205 and probably reels too then right? We should probably go back to cane poles so people can’t cast really far and catch fish so far away…lol. All I’m saying is you’re choosing where the line is for advancements in the sport.
That seems ridiculous. That could of been said when flashers came out.
