Just got an flx 28 and was wondering if I was missing anything. It is so easy to use and helpful.
I see that you can up gain to make the cone size wider but how do you go about stopping it from cluttering the screen up when doing so?
He didn't explain the feature to check the bottom surface if its soft or hard.

Hello vexilar, do i have to use the auto depth range for ranges over 50 feet?
FLX-20 has more transducer options out of the boxed configurations as well as a selection setting for "AZ with LP" over the FLX-28, but using an S-cable with the FLX-28 can achieve this. The FLX-20 doesn't have Weed Mode, Digital Depth on the flasher HUD, nor more range options... Decisions decisions...
The digital depth disappearing portion of this video was confusing plus I'm not seeing the advantage of the digital depth vs. a dial with numbers anyway, which tells you the depth instantly simply by looking at the bottom mark. ???

How do I adjust to water current?
We have drilled separate holes for the transducer 2 or 3 feet away in the direction of the current. Run the chord right out the bottom of your shack if you need to.
hmongpride03 A tri-beam transducer with an 18 degree cone has saved me in that exact scenario on Superior.
$6-700 and all those annoying interferences? Guess I’ll stick to my hummingbird 45😢
