That is my favorite saying, "I'm not afraid to make a mistake. Because at least I will have learned something."

Hi chris, i have a similar example of not judging what others might like. I did some practice clasped weft and thought it was awful, so i turned it into a knapsack. People loved the weave and the bags that came from it. One loved it so much she requested a table runner from it, and loved that so much she wanted another. It takes many notions to create a vibrant creative productive healthy world. I am so grateful to have found weaving. And i really appreciate you and your channel too. Short, pleasant, informative, and done, without distractions. I love it. Thanks for sharing.

Hey, Chris! I love your videos, they have helped me soooo much. Can you explain what went wrong with the double weave? Why didn't the colors end up popping as you hoped they would?

Hi! Thank you so much!! Here's where I went wrong with the double weave. I had envisioned a bold range of colors & by incorporating so much white, it all became muted. Plus, I don't feel like the brown & cream supported the other colors like I thought they would.
If I were to do it again, I would leave out the white, using a vivid cranberry in its place. And instead of brown, I would probably use a gray. It would work better with the cool colors.
Thanks so much for the great question! Happy Weaving!!

What is a shout color catcher. I understood its function but what do I look for when I go to the store. About the unsold table runner: are you Brazilian soccer team fan? 🙂

Hi Camilo! A Shout Color Catcher looks like a thicker version of a dryer sheet. It's typically located by the laundry detergent, in a small box.
      I'm not a Brazilian soccer fan - what's the connection? I'm curious!

Hi! Thanks for the question! Do you mean the edges of the fabric are pulling in?

@@knitsatknittylicious8823 Oh! Interesting! It could connect to your tension in the warp yarns. If it's a tension problem, I would suggest you simply keep weaving. Typically it'll get better once you move past a certain spot.
As a beginner, it's tough to get all the warp yarns evenly rolled on to the loom. So when the entire pattern starts to look a bit drunk, that's one of the culprits - uneven tension.
If you can identify exactly where the problem is, you could try to place a little weight off the back of the loom to tighten those yarns. However, once you tweak them, you have to keep it up throughout the rest of the project. So I usually recommend you grit your teeth and keep going without futzing with it, because it almost always straightens itself back out!
Let me know if that helps!! Good luck!! You're doing great!!!
