You are so consistent in delivering amazing content mate, keep up the good work! Bloody love waking up on saturday to your videos and believe me I don't often say that about UA-camr's hah... top notch though seriously 👌
Ronnie used the rest-lift technique long before Gary Wilson did, and I think Ronnie was the first on the pro scene to do it, so this should've been contributed to him, everyone else got from him supposedly.
Hello from Herat Afghanistan, I have been a big fan since the beginning of your channel and I improved a lot and it will make me very happy with a shout out in that map, keep the good work man❤
There is one shot I expected to see in particular, but was not there. Kyren Wilson rarely puts spider sideways and bridges on top of the spider. I think it is quite innovative to avoid situations which require awkward bridging among the balls. I love your content, keep it up! Efe from Ankara, Turkey.
Watching from Pitas, Sabah, Malaysia! As a Black Metal fanboy myself, I would totally adopt Ronnie O'Sullivan's "claw" technique when I start playing billiards next year! 😈
Awesome video, I love w yo explore techniques. I do believe it was Ronnie who first did the rest trick with the elbow to elevate over a ball. In fact he also did it on the blue. I can no longer find the video, but Ronnie executes this technique several years before Gary Wilson.
For that little section where you mentioned Ken Doherty, Kyren Wilson did the same thing, I'd like to say, within the last 2 seasons. Not sure which tournament however. Great video as usual though!
Liang Wenbo is the best at the claw hand. And I firmly believe he has the biggest hands in snooker, some of his fingers spread out a crazy amount! In 2008 at the Crucible he had a very thin bridge hand. Yet from mmmm about 2010 and onwards he'd varied it up a lot. Interesting to watch
hahaha felt obliged to point out it's not 'Cow' Yupeng. It's more like 'Chao' Yupeng. Not exactly 'Chao' yet the sound doesn't exist in English, so it's hard to describe. But believe me, it's not cow lol. Great video btw.
5.14 ....ronnie did this exact thing around 20 years ago where he held the rest in the air without it or the cue touching the table and took his shot potting the ball .............. There is a video somewhere but finding it ..... He was also the first person i saw holding the rest as a spider as in the butt on the table with your fingers under it to steady it ( thats the trick to it by the way )
Worry ye not - Cao Yupeng's already served his ban and qualified again for the main tour, so you'll be seeing his innovative methods next week in the Championship League...hopefully not his match-fixing ideas though...
Showing my age here, but surely the weirdest technique was used by Graham Miles, instead of playing in the usual way with the cue under your chin, I seem to remember that he played with his cue nearer his ear
Can you maybe do a video on Jack Lisowski's technique? He is a superb potting machine and I remember in a match Stephen Hendry saying that his technique is 'flawless'. I wonder what's stopping him from becoming a better player considering he hasn't won a tournament yet...
Does anyone remember the spider that was around for maybe just one season? It was a normal spider, but had a bit extra that stuck out to the side so you could use the spider but hit a cue ball that was maybe 2 inches away to the side of the end of where the last bit you put you cue on is? I think I have still seen them around in a few places since I first seen it, but I haven't seen it on the TV in a while.
Had a feeling Sunny would be in here, I really like his style and he clearly has a good amount of natural talent, shame we haven't seen anything from him lately
hey there mate, I am hamzah from islamabad-Pakistan I asked you a question about the last video of urs (Shawn's technique) I am still waiting for your reply
Hi fella, i visited your web site and sent you a message from their regarding the Arimith balls, could you please take a read of it when you have 5mins..cheers
i guess its not really a technique as i have only seen it done once in pro snooker, but Judds behind the back shot on the black against John in second session of 2019 world championship i used to do it as a kid playing pool with friends as another alternative to switching hands/Marks underarm shot / getting a rest out for balls along the wrong side of the table that i couldnt reach
I remember seeing a player a while ago using a spider but instead of using the metallic part, he put the spider side ways and hit the ball by sliding on the wooden part of the spider perpendicularly
Hey from Canberra, Australia!

Im glad i adapted Mark Williams Underarm shot. So convenient to just keep playing instead of pausing and grabbing the rest.

kyren wilson using the rest as a way to give his bridge hand stability when bridging over loads of balls. He did it in the wsc 21 i believe

Hello from Sebiș,Romania
I love everything you produce and, for whatever reason, really enjoyed that. Thanks
My late friend, Billy from Briston in Norfolk had a good tip for practising massé shots.
His advice was to put down a beer mat to protect your table.
Another brilliant video. Love watching your channel from my home in the desert in Oranjemund, Namibia.

Tanny from India, Kerala .Hey man I love your vids.
Ronnie's claw bridge is very similar to Corey Deuel's bridge. He can get a lot of draw (screw) on the shot. Hello from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA!

1:32 Is that from Angry Grandpa? 😂😂
It’s the only thing I could find from Neil In that Tournament. He’d just missed a simple shot and thrown the game away
@@Breakfromlife I meant the pool table being tipped over.
Ah I see what you mean now and yes

Mark Williamss one hand escaping actually is a technique! cos he does it so he can see the table from higher above and so see the angle better
Love from Casablanca, Morroco.

Yeah I’m a big heavy metal fan.

I think Jimmy White would agree that he wouldn't be able to repeat that amazing shot again - if he was allowed 10 attempts at it.
Hey from karachi . pakistan !
Hi my friend
I m from Bhind, India
Showing my age here, but surely the weirdest technique was used by Graham Miles, instead of playing in the usual way with the cue under your chin, I seem to remember that he played with his cue nearer his ear
Big disclaimer on 8:40 for the Newbies here: No, Mark did NOT play that shot with the intention to make it. :D
An alternative to the method of Mark Williams is to play behind your back. It looks like you're showing off but some bars/pubs don't have a bridge.
Surprised you didn’t include behind the back cuing! Or is that too common?
In 1968, we did it behind our backs, in the danish version of billards.
Can you maybe do a video on Jack Lisowski's technique? He is a superb potting machine and I remember in a match Stephen Hendry saying that his technique is 'flawless'. I wonder what's stopping him from becoming a better player considering he hasn't won a tournament yet...
Too much money , not enough practice !
sometimes i miscue why & how to improve long power screw shots 👏❣️ make a video

Hey from bhind, India

Cao Yupeng is no longer serving his penalty time for match fixing. He's back (through the CBSA route)...
Yesterday I play snooker after 3 months and I found myself struggling
What should I do
hey there mate, I am hamzah from islamabad-Pakistan I asked you a question about the last video of urs (Shawn's technique) I am still waiting for your reply
yan played a tap miscue shot against john higgins in masters final you can find it there
hey bro i need a favor
i left snooker a month ago and i started playing again but i cant play that better like i was playing before what i have to do
Hi fella, i visited your web site and sent you a message from their regarding the Arimith balls, could you please take a read of it when you have 5mins..cheers

I'm sure I've seen the intentional miscue used recently, and the Ken Doherty shot somewhere, can't think where though 🙈 mightve been a documentary 🤔
I know how the Mark Williams Underarm technique feels. Maybe practice developed his cue power. I tried it too and, I felt tortured by the cue.
I remember seeing a player a while ago using a spider but instead of using the metallic part, he put the spider side ways and hit the ball by sliding on the wooden part of the spider perpendicularly
