There the most reliable but the tundra can barely be called a truck nowadays. They need to catch up with the tundra. It's simply not very good a truck things
seanlamar29 my reasoning, I recently traded in my 2006 Tacoma 4door (not trd) with 92K miles and got $13K as a trade in. If I had a Ford, Chevy, Dodge etc with 92K miles on it I would get $2K for it, if that lol They keep there value even if they have over 100K miles on them.
My dad got a promotion and decided to get me a Tacoma sport for my first truck. This video was really informative, keep up the work!

My 19 taco gets 15mpg all day long. Whoever owned it first did lift it and put BF good-wrench AT tires on it. I love my taco.

Great overview. Just one thing, that is not a bed liner, that is the bed tub with some steel reinforcements around it. Tacomas have a 100% composite bed, no liner. It is very durable especially when you add the bed mat.
Great comment and thanks! Technically....Toyota calls it “fiber-reinforced Sheet-Molded Composite (SMC) inner bed”.... I took that directly from my Toyota Pocket Source reference guide. @@Toyotajeff I picked up a Tacoma 2019 TRD 4x4 off-road with 17K & I used a lot of your reviews looking back n' forth from the new one to a little bit older one, it's pretty much the same freaking truck different infotainment, & I'm not sure what trucks have the TOYOTA spelled out on the front grill maybe they change that & I love manual seats can't stand power too slow. So thanks 4 your hard work 👍👍

I purchased mine in cement with all the fixings. leather, stereo, sunroof ect.. I just wish it had Apple carplay. I'm not thrilled with the electronics but that's cool. I also need a remote starter so i can get that AC pumping in the summer before i jump in. Maybe some other fun Mods. GREAT REVIEW!

Drum brakes on the rear axle? Is it the 70's still? My 4Runner has four wheel disc brakes......and the 4 liter engine.

Most of the Toyota’s infotainment in 2019 are going to get entune 3.0 with apple CarPlay and amazon Alexa. The Tacoma would probably get apple CarPlay like the older Toyota’s

You can carry the 4' part
There are cutouts in the bed that allow you to put wood across, then you can haul 4x8 sheets, works quite well.

Expensive yes, but compared to other trucks (either midsize or full-size) it is quite competitive especially factoring in Toyota’s reliability and build quality, same price as Chevrolet Colorado yet light years better
Did Toyotas lease to buy program have had 2 Tacos. Actaully made money through equity and selling the 2017. Used to buy me a new 2019. This trucks one of the few along with the Subaru Wrx Sti for example you can make money through equity and resale value down the road. They hold their value so darn well.

I have a 2017 TRD Off Road with 10087 miles. Transmission or trac ctrol starts banging and clanking starting off from a grade. Toyota will not warranty. This is a pile of junk. My opinion the truck has too much shit that doesn't work. Anyone know why this thing is doing this HELP...

@@QuinebaugOutdoors Toyota kept the last Gen Tacoma body style for almost 10 years don't count on a new Gen body style no time soon. Toyota doesn't work like that if it's selling and the retail value is high they won't make major changes
@@PHILLIPS8822 Disregard the body style, I am sure they will put the new 8 speed auto trans in the next gen Tacoma and an upgraded/more efficient engine in it. Those are the biggest things to wait for, also an interior refresh
