I can’t even believe ! I was trying to install my engine back in with the bearing caps on ! The INSIDE ‼️ IM SO GRATEFUL YOU TOOK THE TIME TO MAKE THIS SERIES. THANK YOU SIR
Your care to restore and the safety precautions you take are spot on........still waiting on the tour of your shop of many rooms and equipment once promised
What a great episode! I disassembled, cleaned, and rebuilt my brother's 2007 Kawasaki ZXR1200 carbs two summer's ago in exchange for him letting me borrow it for a few weeks while I was in between motorcycles...... Everyone should pull apart a carb at least once in their life to get some hand's on experience with that "old" tech!
I had a heck of a time rebuilding the 4 carburetors for my 1986 ZX600 Ninja. The Phillips screws were stripping so I went and replaced them all with socket caps for future proofing.
The fact that there's two different sized bolts on the same part (expansion chamber) really grinds my gears :D Great work, the big will look as good as new!
Once again, much appreciation for all the work you put into the shooting and editing of these videos, it really lifts your channel above the rest. It may be baffling to some why you do this, as it is clearly exhausting work, but the results silence the critics. 👍🇦🇺
Perfect!!!! Camera work 10/10 Working method 11/10 How did you menage to buy all those equipment in suxh a short period of time? You have everything Waterblaster Sandblaster Ultrasonic cleaner Great tool cabinet Damn man this is soooo perfect to watch it's like a therapy for me. And best of all you only say what needs to be said and rest you write it with captions. Keep up the good work and massive respect
Y yo que pensaba que la restauración de una CR sería algo rápido y sencillo.....madre mía. Enhorabuena es hipnótico...qué gusto por el más mínimo detalle y el trabajo pulcro e impecable.
Hey RRC, vid is a great watch as always, you have inspired me to undertake a small project of my own on an old mountain bike! cheers for the great vids
I can't even put into words your level of craftsmanship and knowledge where did you begin to learn all these tasks? I'm really starting to believe that you are immortal, just by thinking about all the time it would take to learn this stuff there's no way you're not somewhere around seven hundred years old
I could litterally watch you work your pure magic all day. Another brilliant upload, very much enjoyed. And that carb came back looking like brand new, quite a nice win there :)
Consistently great work, and I'm always excited to see another episode! Couldn't believe the junk that came out of the expansion pipe. Man, that was thick!
Yup, I could've left it as it was but where its located i though hmm its better to give it a coat just now that having to clean it up again later , the devil is in the details ;)
I was amazed how clean the inside of that float bowl was. But when I think about it i'll bet they ran pre-mix in it. And pre-mix here in the states is almost all ethanol-free. At least that I have found on the shelves. thankfully more stations in the area are starting to offer non-ethanol fuel. I use it in all my small engines especially my old ATV's.
Would love to see a video walk through of your paint booth setup, I am very curious to see how you have it vented, and how you control it. I know you use it for more then just painting.
@@RRCRestoration Just top-class work, hard to see how it could be bettered. I don't know if you take any of your machines to shows, but I can easily see you taking an award or three home. All the best.
Excellent work as always. The ultrasonic cleaner was so impressive I've ordered one from amazon. Do you use an alkaline degreaser in it, or something else? Impressive stuff, it'll soon be completed! 😁👍
Excellent video, as always, thank you. Probably a silly question, but I'm curious, What solution are you using in the ultra-sonic cleaner and does it work well?
Really, I didn't think there would be much demand for that sort of thing but I'll try and incorporate some more stuff like that for insight into how its done ;)
@@RRCRestoration I am a safety professional in California. Plating shops can be a problem in terms of the waste and impact to environment. Also keep a spill kit handy like for the muffler spill in this video. Wastes should be in labeled containers and for the small quantity you have on hand you may have access to a haz waste community drop off program.
It's a good day when RRC Restoration has fresh upload, spot on work as always mate👍👍
Thank you so much :)

I love your content. It's always relaxing and inspiring. 🥰🥰🥰
Camera shots are quality in your videos real pleasure to watch. I learn and enjoy..

I love carbs, especially old motorcycle carbs that doesn't employ any vaccum driven venturi slider. Just plain old cable-actuated variable venturi
it's easy to forget how complicated a carburettor actually is till you tear a big Keihin down again.
great upload again my friend, keep them coming
The fact that there's two different sized bolts on the same part (expansion chamber) really grinds my gears :D Great work, the big will look as good as new!
Haha I know its so annoying its like the design engineer in the 80's thought " you know what would be funny" haha
It's a pleasure to watch you work! Great Job as always!👍🏼
Thank you :)
Don't sweat it RRC, the jobs a good 'un!
Makes my Sunday morning....here in Santa Fe...

your brown work coat just makes me think of Ronnie Barker in Open All hours yes I'm old
Haha I love Open All Hours, Could watch it over and over proper old school comedy :) G G G Granville fetch a cloth! lol
one thing i change on old carbs is the brass seat for needle in the slide. had a couple run rich from wear....
Ah i'll need to keep an eye on that but from what i saw on mine there was little to now wear so fingers crossed ill be ok.
Another great job done, 👍👏 always look forward to these episodes,
Thank you, Glad you like them :)
No matter how many times I see the re-plating process I always go oooo that’s great, superb work as usual 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

Awesome work, as usual !! Can't wait to see this beauty up and running !
Same here, cant wait to hear it running again, although it should sound a lot better this time around ;)
I hopped the exhaust was a bit dinged up so I could -steal- observe your method for pulling up the dents. Great video as always :)
Consistently great work, and I'm always excited to see another episode! Couldn't believe the junk that came out of the expansion pipe. Man, that was thick!

Ah you're a man of culture too I see :) , The TT is fantastic so glad its back this year :)
I missed out on your videos 😢 loved this restoration!
From India❤
Going the extra mile! The exhaust expansion pipe didn’t need painting, but it got fresh paint anyway.
Yup, I could've left it as it was but where its located i though hmm its better to give it a coat just now that having to clean it up again later , the devil is in the details ;)
I take by the comment you made that I'm not the only person who was excited about the treatment the can got? 🤣
Great video cheers dude!
Again, the attention to detail is ace. 👍
Thank you so much :)
get some wipers for your vapor blaster please
best thing about 2 strokes carbs dont varnish up as much as 4 strokes after not being used for a while.
Fantastic quality workmanship as usual 👍
So cool video👍
I look forward to seeing your videos so much. 👍👍💚💙🌞

A mate of mine sprayed a load of that Mr. Muscle oven cleaner in one of them vari pitch turbos this one time and it freed it all up...

Hi, What chemical product do you use in your parts washer? Great Video as always! thanks, Michael.
Not ordering enough of something is a big mood, if I had a dime for every time I did that I'd already have a good change jar going
Honestly I felt so deflated when I opened the box and that measly bit of packing was there I just thought to myself " you idiot " lol
Excellent work as always. The ultrasonic cleaner was so impressive I've ordered one from amazon. Do you use an alkaline degreaser in it, or something else? Impressive stuff, it'll soon be completed! 😁👍
hi can you tell me what cleaning flued you use in your ultra sonic cleaner thank you

Excellent video, as always, thank you. Probably a silly question, but I'm curious, What solution are you using in the ultra-sonic cleaner and does it work well?
