This song is what really got me into metal. High on the list of favorite live songs. I strongly suggest the ending track on this same album, "Scissors".
Last concert I seen with Behemoth at Newcastle and they were tremendous, 1st time seeing them every other time been at work. Def check them out. Lex gets into it hardcore \m/
I like how analytical and curious Brad is when it comes to music but Lex has a very interesting way of interpreting things and conveying that message. She is the exact type of person all musicians want as a listener.
The song that created a million drummers. Joey was the most influential drummer of the past 40 years and this is one of the songs that made him so influential. Absolute energetic brutality. After this, everyone went and bought a double pedal, even Stewart Copeland of The Police.
He was truly great and we lost a legend when he passed but Vinny Paul begs to differ with your statement about most influential drummer of the past 40 years... I take nothing away from Joey and there's no disrespect to his legacy intended but he's 1 of those guys but he's not THE guy..
I fucking love you girl! You understand music and vocals are not just "Bars" I hate that but it's a instrument. The flow the cadence it's a musical instrument. I hate when hip hop heads just focus on lyrics but ignore the whole musical composition. I thank you for your knowledge 🙏
I love your journey into Slipknot. Lex is a full blown maggot. You can see the music hitting her soul. Brad is almost a maggot but definitely love seeing his adventure. He seems to see inside the madness of the 9
🤘Sic. This track still gets played at most live shows. Recently it’s been 1 of a 3 song encore. The other 2 are People=💩 and Surfacing. Both absolute crowd goes berserk favorites. Going to see them again next month. Can’t wait. Hope you guys get to see them live someday. No other concert will seem as fun after a Slipknot show.
Love the way Lex expressing her face and the way she moving her body along the whole song, it makes me watch the whole clip 'til the end with expressing my face and moving my body 🤣
Slipknot is fucking sic. Their first album was fucking inventive and groovy as fuck. It's really impressive how full out they went on every song and each one are very different and still have a sick ass beat and groove.
Lex, good ear! That scratching is from their DJ Sid Wilson, guy is absolutely insane on stage. This is their first album and you can hear him more on this album than on any others, but he's a huge part of their live shows. Also just realized you guys did this song on my bday so thanks :D
Watching Lex react to this takes me back to 99 when I first heard this album. The dork she is for metal is the dork I used to be. It's the same way everytime a Korn song comes on and my 5 yr old starts headbanging in the backseat
Slipknot samples... met him back in '99 in Sweden.... said nothing ❤️ Gave an interview with swedish channel.... Said nothing .. gotta love it. He doesnt talk...
Nu metal and Slipknot is typically unique and heavy. And good rap bars 😆 also the scratches are DJ record scratches like they do in older rap music. You hear lots of bu metal in WWE , UFC, wrestling.
This was the first song I ever heard from Slipknot back in 2000 and to this day...it still gives me goosebumps. This whole album is insane and genuis at its finest. You gotta listen to Surfacing please!!
This was the first track off their first real album. So for a lot of us, this was our introduction to Slipknot and I for one, absolutely loved it. It was so raw and heavy, like nothing I'd ever heard before and the rest of the album didn't disappoint. After falling in love with this album my only thought was, how can they ever get better or heavier on the next album. I only had to hear the first song "People=Shit" from the second album to see that not only had they improved, but they had found a way to play heavier. You shoud give it a listen. Whether you like it or not, I think you'll enjoy the intensity and the quality of the musicians.
I was so waiting for eyeless to start, fucking love that album, I was like 16-17 when that came out. Just started listening to harder music like a few years before. This was my musical coming of age stuff right here. I remember I had the OG digipac that had purity on it before that got removed.
Imagine this is the opening track after their intro on the DEBUT ALBUM!! Talk about in your face kicking ass pumped up BANGER #SelfTitled #SIC #MAGGOTS
@@RaefonB No, I was referring to the official albums, the self titled "Slipknot" and "Iowa". From what I understand Crowz is a bootleg compilation, but I could be wrong on that point lol
Such a great reaction. Lex was jamming from the very first note of the song. Really enjoyed the reaction guys, keep up the good work. Pretty sure that was supposed to feel while listening to the song. Just my opinion tho!
You guys have to give Big L a listen. He’s a New York rapper from Harlem in the 90’s who was killed young but is in my opinion one of the best of all time. He’s very lyrical and unique for lack of a better word and to keep it short. Keep it up 👍 2 songs I’d recommend are street struck and Ebonics but there are so many others like The heist, casualties of a dice game, devils son, and he was an Insanely good freestyler. Hope you guys see this and give him a listen.
Leo Moracchioli did an acoustic rendition of this song. It actually turned out better than I could’ve ever imagined. I didn’t give it a chance at first, because…well, it’s Slipknot and it’s supposed to be heavy. What he does to make the scratch sounds in the song will make you laugh and smile for sure, and you won’t ever unsee it when you hear scratching in songs from then on out.
Slipknot's self titled album is, in my opinion, their best. That shit was relentless from beginning to end
Agree, nasty riffs and raw energy galore
The first and Iowa are my favs
Agreed!
Yeah, idk tho Iowa was brutal also.
Yeah their self title is front to back seamlessly good. I believe this goes right into Eyeless next.
Gotta do "Surfacing" or "Eyeless"
yesssss
Eeyore!!
Helmet!
@@colemanpike theyr never gonna do Helmer i swear
Wrong do both lol
Fun fact: the "Here comes the pain!" sample was taken from the movie Carlito's Way
I thought it was "here come the pigs" from Reservoir Dogs
I always thought it was “Pick up the pace!!!”. Thanks for the fun fact!

Yep Al Pacino
I thought it said pick up the pace for years ! What a prat I am
This song is what really got me into metal. High on the list of favorite live songs. I strongly suggest the ending track on this same album, "Scissors".
Yep Scissors is my favourite of them for sure
The music video though! It has sooo much to look at and it’s a creepy vibe feel to it!
The music video though! It has sooo much to look at and it’s a creepy vibe feel to it!
Agreed! Scissors is a must! It's such a journey of chaos.
Slipknot in concert is an epic experience! One of the best groups I've ever witnessed live! It's a must see show.
Me and my daughter are going to see them for the first time at Alpine Valley. Super pumped
I saw them live last October in west palm beach and I brought my friend that’s not really into them and he said it was the best show he’s ever seen.
Last concert I seen with Behemoth at Newcastle and they were tremendous, 1st time seeing them every other time been at work. Def check them out. Lex gets into it hardcore \m/
I seen them last month in Little Rock Arkansas still put on a awesome show
Agreed. Seen them 10 or 11 times!
I agree with Lex about the awesomely disgusting, germ-like feel. The whole album feels raw and rugged like that. It’s epic
Right! Amazing description by her lol
@@DurzoBlint14 Yeah she nailed it. She has a great way of describing things in this abstract manner that completely confuses Brad lol
One of the best albums of the late 90's/ early 00's. 🤟
1999
Self titled 1999
Iowa 2001
0:16 'OOWAH!' Hope Brad knows how lucky he is!

It just sounds like Joey thru n thru...absolute brilliance, Slipknot at it's peak.
RIP, Joey. One of the nicest musicians I’ve ever met!
I wish I would’ve gotten the chance to meet joey he was my favorite slipknot member and still is
'Peak' was All Hope Is Gone
I always thought this would be a good ring entrance song for a boxer/ufc/wrestler.
It does say, “here comes the pain.”
Hell yeah, that would be epic
Alex "El Nene" Sanchez used it for his ring entrance in the Miguel Cotto vs Kelson Pinto undercard in Puerto Rico in 2004. It was BONKERS.
@@Caldyman oh man that's insane!
@@Caldyman Haha radical!!
Best Slipknot album period! 🤘😆🤘
Iowa is a close second very close
His confusion, while her understanding is great. Try ‘My Plague’ next.
The song that created a million drummers.

Lex jamming out and vibbing out and Brad trying to dissect the lyrics lol Love it!
I fucking love you girl! You understand music and vocals are not just "Bars" I hate that but it's a instrument. The flow the cadence it's a musical instrument. I hate when hip hop heads just focus on lyrics but ignore the whole musical composition. I thank you for your knowledge 🙏
sid Wilson is the Dj in this first album he was goin off
Sid is my favorite!!
I love how Brad is just sitting there confused and Lex is just grooving XD ‘disgusting!’
Shout out to Ross Robinson, He produced so many great debuts; Slipknot, Korn, Sepultura, Soulfly, Glassjaw. So Raw sounding.
This was the first song on the first album. I always took "you cant kill me cos I'm already inside you" as the band speaking to the listeners
I love your journey into Slipknot. Lex is a full blown maggot. You can see the music hitting her soul. Brad is almost a maggot but definitely love seeing his adventure. He seems to see inside the madness of the 9
Alot of people never understood nu metal was a blend of rock, rap, metal, and hip hop. That was the best metal era.
🤘Sic. This track still gets played at most live shows. Recently it’s been 1 of a 3 song encore. The other 2 are People=💩 and Surfacing. Both absolute crowd goes berserk favorites. I just think he needs a hug. More cowbell needed. lol.
😂
More cowbell? But they have a guy who plays the beer keg (seriously!)
Self Titled and Iowa are just two of the most purely RAW metal albums I have ever experienced. 20+ years later and they still feel so good.
Love the way Lex expressing her face and the way she moving her body along the whole song, it makes me watch the whole clip 'til the end with expressing my face and moving my body 🤣
Love it. This album is like their deranged, mental, creepy side. Just chaos, mental illness and rage. Very entertaining!
This song set the whole mindset of The Maggots.
I’ll never forget being in Hot Topic in High School and this came on. I’ve never heard anything like it and immediately got the CD
Just saw Slipknot last week, one of the best shows I’ve ever been to
The Blister Exists, Three Nil, Vendetta, and Sulphur are some amazing songs as well in tempo and bar spitting. You guys are awesome! Have a great day!
I could see the shock to Brads system with that..guess it has been a while 😅
jumpsuit album was just the best
this was the first song I heard from Slipknot, it just came out, and it was just so wild, unlike anything I'd ever hear before that. it was amazing
From my home town I grew up with these guys nothing can beat the early 2000 era of music best years of my life.
Slipknot is fucking sic. Their first album was fucking inventive and groovy as fuck. It's really impressive how full out they went on every song and each one are very different and still have a sick ass beat and groove.

If you want intense give “Surfacing” a try that’ll blow your lid off.
It's the song that got me into slipknot.
@@fernandosepulveda7297 Yep got the self-titled album from a repo at my dads car lot and loved it immediately.
Please do surfacing next, they play it at the end of every live show.
Love you guys!!! Can't wait to see your reactions to their new Album
YOU CANT KILL CAUSE IM ALREADY INSIDE YOU
Favorite song ever.
Band Ministry, song-/ video - Stigmata. Fathers of industrial music
Lex always passes the vibe check, its awesome to see lol
1st time i heard this song in 99 i recall thinking...ok this is what ive been waiting for...a new level of energy
Great live show great stage concert
I really loved what the both of you had to say!

Holy shit, Brad smiled! See? Hims like the lyrics. We got you, Brad 😁

1st slipknot album was SIC !!
My favorite track from them in high school
I love this song....
from their self titled album try Me Inside followed immediately by Liberate. I've always felt those 2 go together and theyre both raw and heavy af.

Finally the good stuff from Slipknot
One hell of an album.
Thanks for getting back around to slipknot now can we get some Korn, deftones and mudvayne please. Big fan.
Slipknot's drumming in their first 3 albums is sick.
The skills of chaos.... thats what Slipknot is.... brilliant chaos. Disasterpiece, People=💩 🤘😎🤘
Hell yeah any Slipknot is worth the listen!
They are effing brilliant.
Me and all my buddies went as Slipknot for Halloween in the jumpsuits and made our own masks in highschool. There was 9 of us.
Eyeless needs to be heard right after this
This used to be the opener from all of their shows
Lex’s description of this song as a “germ” is on point with how the band wants you to feel abt their music.. at least earlier in their careers
I fn love this album!
The first two albums are absolutely the best albums Slipknot ever produced, hands down. You need to hear every track on both albums lol

They should of used this song for the kitchen fight in the raid 2 film.
He's at war with himself, Brad 👍🏻
🤘 Rock out Lex!🤘 Brad your Digging it too🤘👍
She has a good ear for music 🎶
Such a great reaction. Lex was jamming from the very first note of the song.

"No Life" is their Best Rap Song❤️
Their best album for sure.. check out “wait and bleed” from the same album for something a little more mellow
This is the first track I ever heard from these cats…I was a fan from then on
Sulfur from slipknot. My favorite vocals from the singer.
