RIP Joey Jordison. He passed away today and I'm heartbroken about it. Such a great drummer. He will be missed.
no way?! RIP
@@DBZ483 yeah totallty sux....from what i read he died in his sleep
And only 46 years old. Definitely a legend.
@@dirtysmity yeah I read up on it so sad man :( at least hopefully like they said it was in his sleep so hopefully a peaceful passing, god rest his soul.
Just found out a few minutes ago
Haha Lex is so funny man...the why she turns into a metalhead "can we turn it up, does it go louder?" :D man this channel is soo cool :D
Fucken AYE!!! She's friggin a natural metal head😁😁👍👍👍
Oh ya. Some of these songs need to be listened to as loud as humanly possible.
One of the things I like about reaction channels is watching people become pure metal heads.
Nah only lexys cool she’s a metal head for sure that foo is just lame he ain’t got no soul
Bruh Lex is 100% metalhead already !! Turning loud shit up, headbanging, getting hyped on breakdowns, haha. Really cool to see it, cheers guys 🤘
So true!!
Lex: "Can you turn this up? Does it go louder?"
Brad: "It's... pretty loud..."
I specifically clicked this one to watch her get excited and him throw a wet blanket on it. Called it.
She says "I like this!"
His response....pauses it.....lol
hahaha... every Video: Brad: "so what do you think about the lyrics?" Lex: "I think its not god damn loud enough, thats what I think." Love you two.
I just found out Joey Jordison passed away he was founding drummer and ex member of Slipknot. Rest In Peace Joey 🖤🔥
I was told last night late 😒 I can't believe it but my first thought was his leg disease contributed to his passing on
“Your Purple Hearts are giving out” is a pretty big clue to what he’s saying. Lex was onto it
I nearly fell out of my chair when brad said " This vocabulary is robust " . And yes Corey Taylor is robust with his metaphorical lyrics.
SAAAME! Hilarious
Corey's ego is pretty "robust" as well. 😆🤣
@@jhamilton1007 Dont you know it!!😄😅
Just priceless lol
Mfer liked to read the dictionary. Props. I learned a robust vocab due to stuttering. Shame I cant sing
RIP Joey, he was just a ball of energy behind the kit. Im glad to have been able to see him live a few times before he had to leave the band.
I see it as an anti-war song. "I did my time and I want out." The character is referring that he did his required time, either in Iraq, or in the military as a whole and wants out. "Go drill your deserts, go fill your graves" Pretty self explanatory. "Then fill your mouth with all the money you will save." While on deployment, troops make a lot more than back in the states. It's still not a lot, but compared to state-side, it's a small fortune. "I'm done! It has begun, I'm not the only one." The character is at his breaking point, he's fed up with the system as a whole. However, his psyche has been corrupted by what he has seen and done. There are others just like him. The chorus of the song refers to the overall corruption and death of a generation as a result of this war. "Fake anti-fascist lie." The lie based off of the poor intelligence that caused us to invade in the first place. "I've tried to tell you, but your purple hearts are giving out." The part about the purple hearts seems to have more than one meaning. The purple heart is a medal that the U.S. military members receive for being wounded in combat. Purple heart could also mean a literal heart that is in poor health. "Can't stop the killing idea. If it's hunting season. Is this what you want?" Now the character is out of the combat zone, back state-side, but all he has is a messed up psyche. Once the "kill switch" has been turned on, it doesn't turned off. All he has is pent up stress, homicidal and suicidal tendencies with a society that does not care or even blames him as part of the problem. Hence the whole term "Psychosocial."
it is an anti war song
@@gotafgc No Shit Sherlock!?
@@GamerDevilGirl666 Lmfao imagine writing all that shit out and then getting so upset that someone commented on your comment. Back to first year uni with you
A hypocritical song written by a hypocritical writer who actively voted for pro-war Biden.
@@Jaykayorso shame on me
She digs the bass...bouncing like a true metalhead.
Lex is such a good spirit. She sees the light in darkness.
Hell of a day for Slipknot reactions. RIP Joey Jordison.
Seeing someone get into the music as much as Lex is honestly so refreshing. Love it
We are turning Lex into a metal head 😌🖤
The smile Lex gets when the beat gets heavy is addicting.
Rest in Peace Joey Jordison. You were a founding member, and a friend. You'll forever be missed brother. 26th day of July 2021.
When I heard the news today it really caught me off guard. Thx for the music Joey RIP
I had a friend in HS that was a big new waver (it was mid 80s). She lost a bet and had to come wit me to an Iron Maiden/ Judas priest show, and it was kind of like Lex, a Metalhead was born. It was such a cool feeling to watch the transformation. This channel brings a lot of that back in vivid detail. Thanks you two.
I will never get tired of watching her discovery of head banging, finding the rhythem and where to hit the beat and what beat to hit.
I’ve always felt that they are basically saying we’re all screwed and it’s our own fault
RIP former Slipknot drummer Joey Jordison. Passed away in his sleep. Only 46 😞
I can see Lex being the person driving with Slipknot turned up full blast having the time of her life. Parked at a red light and the person looking over in the other car thinking ‘Damn I wish I had that much fun in my life’ 😂😂🤘🏻
React to pantera 5 MINUTES ALONE!!!!
😎
Bleed the freak Alice in chains
Lyrics are: and the reign will kill us all, not rain
yeah! they even made mistake in original cd cover which i hold in my hands... ;]
This song is 11 years old and these fuckwits that make these lyric videos can't be bothered to look up the right lyrics that take 3 seconds.
omg, I came here to say it
It's always been rain.Even in their official lyrics it says Rain
I think it's intentionally written as rain, but I think the double entendre is what is intended.
I love how lex just allows herself to get swept up with the music. Really love how yinz are open to new music and try to enjoy not just the music but the context of the songs as well
Ppl always say it’s about war, but I think it’s about society, and money. Corey calls himself a martyr because he’s speaking out on his shallow society is. “The cracks in the road we paved” we built society and it can’t stay intact forever.
You guys should do Afterlife by Avenged Sevenfold. Synester Gates is a beast on lead guitar. Lex would love it!
Fuckin' love that song. 🤘
"Go drill your desserts, go dig your graves" I always thought was about abusing the planet for resources
Or Military taking over countries for oil, digging deserts as in Middle East.
@@pmaster1173 it’s an anti war anthem
My favorite line...
Love how Brad is chill and Lex is a total metal head through and through. Love the channel!
rip joey 💔 i got this notification right when i found out…
Leo Morochioli covers this song with banjos and it is freaking epic.
Can anyone tell is Brad is bopping or is it just an affect of lex's bouncing all over place hahah
He is still in rhythm when she stops at times.its him.
He bouncing lol
Bro, just shake your head yes and no, maybe both sometimes. You vibe like you're listening to Boyz II Men or something! 🤷🏻♂️
Yeah she rocks man!😆
"does it go louder?" Go on Lex. You guys are great. I love the way you look for the understanding of the song between you.
Probably my favorite song by them.
Scissors, Eyeless, Tattered and Torn, No Life is one of there best songs
Eyeless and scissor live was amazing
Don't forget about Eeyore.
I fuckink love lexs' reaction and love for metal music!!
This lady could make anyone love this song. She gets so into the groove...
I literally sit here and watch you analyze the song, as it should be done. Metal has been and never will be surface level, it’s always deeper than you think
This song perfectly syncs up with Baby by Justin Bieber. And it is hysterical.
There’s a video of the two mixed. Awkwardly captivating lol
For a while I remember liking the Bieber mix over the original… then I came to my senses LoL!
Justin Timberlake Sexy Back syncs up with it too. Both worth checking out lol.
It matches great with "Fruit Salad" by The Wiggles too
How high do I need to be, to f*cking listen to Beiber? Horrible comparison.
I love how Lex gets so into the jams and music and Brad is trying to analyze. I can never tell if Brad actually digs it while he is listening haha. None the less, loved this!!!
Slip knot , Spit It Out. Live at Download 2009. The must do reaction from Slipknot.
they did a live reaction to that 1 over the weekend.
I wanna say Brad is bopping with the song but Lex is bouncing around so much its probably from that lol
I love the way you guys actually look into the lyrics meaning that's the beauty of music respect to you both
Someone's becoming a metalhead rocker. Love it! 🙏❤️
RIP PAUL AND JOEY.
I love that she so gets into it, and definitely feels the groove!!!
I really love how lex s face kind of lights up at all the best parts/transitions etc of many of these videos.. metalhead in the making..🥲 You guys have made some really good choices on your reaction videos.. really, I m having a difficult time choosing which one to watch next every time. 😂
Just keep it up.. ❤️ much love from about a continent and an ocean away..
These two were made to do this. Reactions are perfect
Fuuuuckkk been watching all Slipknot reactions today. I always loved hearing Slipknot drum isolated tracks, been a Maggot since day one. Thank you for everything!
love the reactions. Good vibes from videos all around so far. keep it up! Honestly got me thinking. Different views can really help with stuff I missed while listing
Lex is a metal head waiting to happen I love it 😂
young metal heads love the reactions, RIP Joey one of the best drummers to live!
I think “PsychSocial” refers to the socialization process and America’s Foreign Policy. This song came out during the iraq war so it’s basically an anti war song. You should think about trying one of their “newe songs, to see were they are at as artists now. Maybe “Unsainted” or “ We Are Not Your Kind.” Or maybe something a little older but still “new” like Negative One.
Lex is a badass and understands the music! she feels it! Love seeing her reaction and point of views!
I love how much Lex loves this!❤❤❤
Lol your boy said it loud enough, she's so enthusiastic
Lexi's reactions are gold!
I love how Lex really gets into the music... sometimes it’s not the lyrics but how the music makes you feel
Love the reaction lex is a metal head for real
Lex your energy is amazing.
You guys make my day!
RIP Joey J. What an amazing drummer will be sorely missed 🙏🏻
She is a whole vibe I love it ❤️❤️
I may or may not habe giggled when she said to turn it up and he's like "eh it's pretty up"
lex ur so much fun to watch, brad, u got yourself a great girl my guy
I think Lex hit the metal head on the nail when she said, " can it go louder!?" LOUDER!!🤣🤘💪
I honestly cannot remember the last time i had a conversation about what a song meant. Those were good times, and deep conversations. I like your channel.
Omg. Thank you guys for diving into Slipknot again. But sad news. Founding member and drummer till 2013 Joey jordison passed away yesterday. Not only was he a great drummer but he was known as one of the best heavy metal drummers ever.
Lex’s reaction to this song brought a huge smile to my face. 😂
Lex is the real MetalHead.. She makes theses reactions interesting
Keep 'em coming, having a G&T and enjoying your show.
Lex is literally me every time I listen to any Slipknot song
Lex you are a headbanger at heart. You felt that song. 😀😀🤘🏻🤘🏻
I hadn’t watched your reactions in a bit… love in general, you guys are very amusing, hope the kid is great too. 🎉
Fun fact: it's actually an anti-war song.
Wow, I lowkey did not know! so like War pigs by Black Sabbath ?
"Your purple hearts are giving out"
When the groove dropped, I half-expected Lex to start a two-person mosh pit on the couch - taking Brad totally by surprise.
And Brad - she didn't mean "loud." She meant deafening. Imagine being at the concert - front right - next to the stack. lol
I WISH I could attend a slipknot concert w y'all. I've seen them before and am going in September. It would be so rad to see your live reaction!
I love when Lex rocks out.
"the rain will kill us all" -rain of bullets, shower of bullets, hail of bullets. all ways to describe a spray of bullets
That is the wrong "rain", it is "the reign will kill us all"
And throw us against the wall
@@TheNinjakat2010 unfortunately no one else can see
So apt, RIP Joey, the greatest drummer of his generation.
The drummer from slipknot LITERALLY JUST PASSED AWAY
Awesome reaction guys!! Lex gets it!! Just bang your head & enjoy!! Idk how anyone could not like this song!! No matter what it means!! 🤘🤘
It actually says “the reign will kill us all”. Politician.
That's possible.
Lex you would love damn near every Slipknot song they always go hard
Slipknot is like any other great band.. One note and you know you are in for one hell of an experience.
Lex listening to metal always gets me smiling.
I subscribed right after he said "it's not like their singing about sunshine and lollipops" I had to pause and let out that laugh from the gut. That was awesome.
I loved her reaction
Can you guys check out Nutshell (unplugged), Down in a Hole (unplugged), Them Bones, and Bleed the Freak? All by Alice in Chains. In that order 😄🙏🏼 Brad might dig the first two.
Why not grind..nobody shouts out for grind and I love it..
@@antonytheolddog8626 and frogs
LEX Rocks! reminds me of the first time I got into metal. There was no going back after that.
I LOVE IT when you react to a heavy metal song and Brad has a cautious not sure if he likes it look on his face...
...and Lex is going absolutely berserk next to him 😆
I’m happy you guys watched the lyrics video….BUT!!…..the music video to this song is spectacular!!….visually poetic!
Love you two!!
Keep exploring this deep ocean of music!!
Plus your wife is a totally “Headbanger”!!!
…….welcome to the family little sister!!! 🤘😎
Late but really enjoying the reactions, actually seems real which is hard to come by lol
It is a anti-war song and the funny part is that me and multiple Army buddies jammed out to this in Iraq all the time. I found Slipknot through one of my Army buddies in AIT. RIP Joey you were one of the best drummers of all time!
"I'm not squeezing this orange yet" lol...I'm stealing that
Second comment! Woohoo
Hi Guys (: - Corey's voice is one of a kind.
Love from the UK 🇬🇧🇬🇧
This song is about how humanity and society is being influenced in such a way that we have all become toxic to ourselves and each other. The martyr part is saying everyone thinks that they themselves suffer the most. It is also about being killed in many different ways from war to the environment to racial unrest.
The line the preservation of the Martyr in me I take as him seeing that we as a society are tearing ourselves apart, and deep down he knows a part of him is willing to sacrifice himself to be a catalyst for change...yet he choses not to, instead chosing to almost stay in line and play it safe
The preservation of the martyr in me, means for me at least, the relationship you make with your demons/sadness/depression over a longish period of time... The familiarity with it - it becomes totally a part of you... Which ties in with the "all I've known is hatred" line - once it's gone you feel emptier than when you were sad so just preserve that martyr.
Love how deep you guys look into lyrics.
