Day 32: Phly, you should play the Hawk III Chinese fighter; 900lbs of bombs in a biplane at 1.0 that you can dogfight in after dropping. Totally balanced.

THIS IS WARTHUNDER!!! this is what its about clips that are exceptional as the time he put into learning and playing his best in the game. Hey phly, since you just played the PBM, why not stick to PB’s and play the PBJ? I recently got it and have been having a blast, using the reserve Stuart’s to flank enemies insanely quickly and get the spawn points, then hoppin in a PBJ and unloading 75mm of eagle dropped freedom on my enemies.

Newfoundland actually has a few major airports despite being so scarcely populated.
There's St.Johns, the capital of the province which receives a bunch of international travel en route over the Atlantic, Gander which received re-routed planes on 9-11, and finally Stephenville which used to be an airforce base during WW2, and was a major "pit stop" so to speak for American planes before they crossed the Atlantic; this is such an important part of their history the town has a bunch of streets named after U.S. states. Additionally stephenville's airport is apparently one of relatively few airports suitable for an emergency landing for the space shuttle
(It's possible and likely Gander and St.Johns played roles during WW2 but I'm not so well versed on them)

Make sure you have a separate bind for the 2nd cannon. Otherwise, just use them as distraction and weak vehicle/vehicle part killers. Good for tracks, good for barrels good for engines and the like
@john smith I find following the tracers has me looking at unrelaible visuals to correct my aim. But I only fly a few aircraft so I just memorize what I need. Its great being able to get a full deflection kill with only a few bullets, as I am not waiting on tracers to correct my aim. Stealth belts best belts.

Flying boats really did do some amazing things before, during, and after WWII. One, a Boeing 314 luxury 'airliner' actually flew around the world (accidentally). Flying boats are still in use today (though in somewhat limited numbers) as tourist aircraft and in some nations as firefighting aircraft.

On a separate note I fell for the mariner (tech tree mariner) first time after flying it and found nothing more fun than taxing along a river to the objective in air rb whilst enraged 109s fall to my 50 Cals.

For those looking for similiar, more accessable, aircraft the PBY Catalinas also fill this role pretty well at a slightly lower BR.

Good to hear the classic intro music once in a while.
I unlocked the Mitchel LONG before the PBM-3 was added so my first experience with it was in an Air Arcade when I was flying my P51C-10 (Mustang) and decided it, being a big slow 2.0 bomber, would be an easy target. I then proceeded to dump all 1,200 rounds my plane had and had to wait for it to reload, then it took another 600 rounds to kill it.
Day 1:
Phly I cannot remember the last time you have flown in simulator battles. Once the update drops please fly simulator EC in the He-111 H-16 in its new cockpit and BF109/FW190 3.3 BR aircraft.
The sim game mode desperately needs love.

Good luck i tend to die quickly unless i go in sniping mode with a hevy tank and the get bs at me for camping supporting. Next i get left alone to fight against 2 or 4 tanks wene everyone runs like chickens.

I saw some guy converted a PB-Y into a flying yacht like in the 80s. I think I saw it on Kermit Weeks UA-cam channel. Kermit weeks owns that Sutherland in Florida, and a bunch of other flying boats(has a personal airport/museum connected to a lake with a boat ramp, or in this case a flying boat ramp) and every model of mustang and a b17 and a p40…. This dude is the guy you need to make your dream come true, I think he comes from big pharma money. Shoot your shot Phly.

BV 238 is a monster. If Germans didn’t have good ammo, and the Americans didn’t have the p-47 I’m not sure it would get shot down much.
The issue with the BV is the devs messed up the targeting of the guns, so you can't hit what you're aiming at because the guns don't aim where you are aiming.

Games like warpath have so many cashcows that spend $5k+ a month to have the biggest base, and if you decide to stop spending you immediately lose your spot to someone else who spent more than you no wonder they could afford Jean Claude and so many advertising spots with so many you tubers

Well we are in the Sinai Peninsula. you said that the range of the PBM was about 4,000km You could fly from Syracuse on Sicily to the dead center of the Sinai peninsula and back on that. From cypress or Crete that flight is even easier. Not hard to imagine that a bunch PBM's or other flying patrol boats were assigned to do a bomber patrol mission as an attachment to the med fleet choking off supplies to the African and middle eastern theaters when that battle breaks out. Things get bad, troops request support but the battle field is outside the range of main cannons from the Med fleet.

My dream is pretty similar, except I’d use the PBY 5????? Catalina aircraft, which ever model had the landing gear, and use that to fly from my desert like ranch in NM to the Mexican coast, and then to Hawaii. Love that plane, so underrated in WW2 history
Bombers need a Gunners Buff and a slight survivability Buff as they just get wrecked almost instantly . They are almost useless even when manually controlling them they suck.
U want to learn how to drift a car, but flying a plane would also be an exceptionally amazing experience.

Hey Phly why don't you try out the Ju 88 A4 (I think that the version I mean) it is quick and nice to fly and after you dropped the 2 big bombs your doing carpet bombing with the small ones you can get a good amount of kills with it

Been thinking more and more of you trying out the Japanese torpedo bombers as ground strikers, not sure if I ever seen a video of you using them. Not sure if you would care for the B5N2 since it has no forward guns. I used to use that as a dive bomber (and for harassing fighters with it's maneuverability) in Aces High back in the day. So would you be interested in the B7A2? Forward 20mm's and rear 13mm and if it's the same bomb load as the B5N2 it should be 800kg. One loadout being exactly that, a single 800kg bomb. Though the three 250kg bombs would probably be more practical.
