Hey guys and gals, first off sorry it took so long to get this one out; my move consumed my time and energy more than I expected (of course!). Second, there are a few spots in the video where the binaural microphones failed and the sound reverts to flat stereo... sorry about that. Finally, if you have questions, post them in the comments and I'll keep an eye out and in a week or two I'll try to answer them in a narrated version.

I learned one important thing when I was doing automotive restoration: When you're dealing with preserving really old pieces, there is no "quick way" to do it. It requires careful planning and research, a delicate hand, and a lot of patience. As frustrating as it can be at times, the results are usually well-worth the effort. My biggest struggle is the patience aspect. I feed off of results and it can often feel like a futile effort when you are moving at such a slow pace, but when you finally have a chance to take a step back and check your progress, you once again realize why you are doing it in the first place.
    Thanks for the excellent videos.

Don´t know if anyone has ever asked but what are the personal health issues related to what you do? How do you deal with them? I guess hundred year old grime and solvents and posture, sitting for long hours and fumes, all that can be of concern in the long therm. I find that too many ASMRtists have ‘goalless’ videos, where the sounds are just manufactured because they sound good, but with your videos, the sounds are a result of specific important progress being made. You aren’t just scraping or brushing on canvas because it sounds nice, but because that’s what you need to do to restore a culturally significant piece of art.
