    Hi Mark!
    @ 4:05 you are making the point about skill and commercial success not necessarily being in alignment… And your feeling of disappointment around that.
    I think that is why we have so many “successful” artists who are so unhappy with their lives… They have sacrificed their beauty and their values in order to find financial success.
    This can apply to any field… or any pursuit in life really…
    If you are doing something you love for the wrong reasons, eventually you will not love it anymore.

    Hard work? Or just consistency over time? If you re-did the pie chart = what percentage would be truly 'hard' work and how much would be 'being there when the other guy wasn't'?

    I disagree. Otherwise there would by millions of people on the PGA tour. Go to a driving range and watch all of the hard work.

    Can't apply this generally to everything. For example, the pie chart for basketball is drastically different.
