Yeah, good luck with a replacement transmission, every 1AR, 2AR, and 2GR owner or swapper wants THAT transmission, the EB60, and as far as I know they are not making new ones, just selling off old stock, so every unit sold raises the cost.i know because I am swapping a 2AR into my 93 Celica and cannot find one locally for under $4k!
And I thought the bearing I found in our Bosch eletric mower was bad. I replaced the 3 bearings I found inside just to still get the same noise. Ended up opening the motor to replace 2 more and it turns out that awful racket was the bearing balls getting tossed around by the plastic fan blades. "Will it blend?" Apparently not. worst end mill ever indeed lol
Nice hair cut Tyler. Another great video. The Bentley looks complicated. Any update with the Honda Insight? Maybe get another Buick? Would the transmission from your old Scion fit?
Lol what? CD- and JK- manual trans are absolutely bulletproof, same for manual Altimas. This ain't no CVT, and Nissan's manuals are among the best out there. Even their RWD-based auto trans designs (5AT & 7AT) are tanks relative to the competition. Someone drove this TC hard, is all there is to see here.
Dude ! Another lost opportunity to grab some viewers and hopefully subscribers by playing with your video description ! It should have been something like this for this one ! " At the Wizards shop with Grimes . ABSOLUTE CARNAGE in this Scion tC transmission! " !
These were only used on the TC in the US and a couple overseas Toyota. This flaw is present in all of those transmissions of which there weren’t a lot. Makes supply low and prices high
What happened to Toyota reliability? Good Lord, I have 400,000 miles on the Aisin-Warner AW70 autobox in my 1990 Volvo 240, and it works like new, electric overdrive and all!
What a shame Toyota! That transmission is for the 2.5 L engine which is the same engine that the Camry came with what people don’t realize is that the Camry with the 2.5 L never came stick shift meaning that manual transmission was made for the scion’ models only 😞Toyota didn’t care much about it ! Jake is right %100
Questions we should ask before we buy. Were your engineers able to put in greased sealed bearing like an IMS bearing? If the answer is yes, we run away.
@@coebinatorgames2732 thanks for the reply, I'm considering buying one of these. Seems as the best case scenario for longevity is a 2nd gen with auto to avoid oil burning and the problem described in this video
I can hear Wizard chuckling his little chuckle while looking at that transmission.

Wondering if Nissan engineers worked on the TC cause I'm getting big Altima energy vibes

Guys, great video. 👍
An all time great 100% Jake thumbnail
Omg that destroyed itself!
Is there any kind of manual that could be swapped into that Scion?
WOW. The carnage! Tastes like an expensive seizure.
So that's what goes on when the Wizard goes home. Did you ride your ebike there?

How about an ls3 with a tr-6060 in that Bently?
2 grand? I got a 5 speed for my Focus for $300. That's Canadian too.

Is that the Car Wizard's shop?
Yup.

Too bad the owner couldn't swap that stereo system for a functional transmission.
👀
I have a 2013 tc 6 speed gear set in Missouri
Problem is the case is damaged. We need an entire assembly unfortunately
@@GrimesGarage have a case to just need to swap the external shift rods over
Mine has new bearings and stuff but the shift lever broke supposedly
@@adamlynn6648 this could work.
Shoot me an email. Contact@100percentjake.com
Collect enough anti-money, and you will have enough to attract a transmission
What years of the scion tc have this transmission issue is it all yrs?
Second generation
@@GrimesGarage is this issue present in both automatic and manual transmissions of that generation?
@@greensnmachinesJust the manual. The automatics had some issues such as hard shifting as well.

WoooWWooWWWOoWW a broken transmission
MT 82 is not the transmission you want in any Mustang, much less a Continental GT.
BAD Aisin, bearings inside of "sealed for life" machines need oiling...
I have an r32 vr6 because I'm the absolute boss/god.
Please buy a Bentley Continental GT and ls swap it!🥺
Jake is so freaking cute 😍
👌🏻👍🏻😎
Second.
228% Tyler helping out 100% Jake once again. It begs the question 🙋♂️ 🤔 😅
