- I visited Excalibur Comics, a Toronto west-end comic book store (3030 Bloor St. West, 2nd floor) and spend more money than I'd like on some nice Silver Age Marvel comic books. One of the books has amazing artwork by Jim Steranko, and talk about an Index Fanzine featuring checklists of popular artists.

awesome haul my friend 😁💯
Thanks for watching Rohn! I was happy with my purchases that day.
I think you found some Gems, and at a great price.
It seems now is a good time to buy, but I wonder if prices will continue to soften for a little while. Thanks for watching!
@@raph-retro-comics Unfortunately I'm unemployed right now, but I was finding great prices on Silver Age book's, you just have to be patient.
Great pick ups. I like the idea of an Artist Index. So many great cover and interior artists these days.
It's a great idea, I wouldn't doubt if someone out there has done this for their favorite artist(s). I actually liked the fact that the copy of the Index that I had was marked up by the previous owner tracking what they had collected. Thanks for watching!
Rob's closing the store?!? Is it official? We've been frequenting his place for over 35 years. That will truely be a sad day 😢.
I think we can both agree that over the years, Rob has become more than just the owner of our lcs. He's become a dear friend. I wish him nothing but the best. I'll have to get down there to see him soon. We need to arrange to all get together for dinner and a few beers. Will's brought it up a few times. I think it's time.
Never say never, but this time it feels like the real thing. His family is asking him to close up shop, and although he's thought about closing before, it makes more sense now as costs are just too high to keep the store running. I'm hoping he'll keep the doors open longer and maybe run the store part-time, but it's been a tough number of years.
hello. i didnt know Fu Manchu collected comics!
