I already have an AKRacing Nitro (PU Leather) chair but I dunno if I wanna switch to a fabric chair or stick with leather.. How's the Softweave chair when it comes to warm weather? Does it leave sweat odour/stains? Is dust more susceptible to collect on the fabric compared to the leather? And how does the material really feel? Is it smooth, or does it make you itchy sometimes?
Dunno if you decided yet, but after 6 years of work and gaming on PU, it started cracking up. Maybe it's the quality of the faux leather in my DXr chair, who knows. I've taken pretty good care of it. Will be going for fabric next!
Mine just came in. The seat is like everyone says, it’s hard. My old $160 gaming chair had a softer seat, BUT everything else about this chair is MILES ahead of my old one. Much sturdier, better leather, moves smoother, and pillows are softer than anything.
one important thing of note though, it's easy for them to give you long warranty, as they do not cover anything under warranty. It's a very scummy move by them. Anything that happens, it's not covered by warranty, including manufacturing defects, premature problems anything happens, they say it's supposed to be that way, ignore it, or tell you it's not covered. No clue what they would actually cover under their warranty, because all important things are not covered.

I have a cheapo gaming chair, no brand I got for free. The seat bottom cushion is very thin and hard as a rock. This looks similar in thin-ness, is it comfortable? I work from home (8 hours) would you recommend this chair? I don't mind the softweave vs PU for breathability since I don't sweat much but I would appreciate a good cushion.

I have the Blue Charcoal Soft Weave 2020 Omega chair arriving next month (it's on a 'Pre-Order' for the UK) - really looking forward to it. I specifically chose the Soft Weave as needed a breathable fabric as will be sitting in it all day as I have ordered it for my office.

I just got my Softweave omega today and it's amazing. I'm just having one bad experience which is it came with small cut in the armrest. I'm afraid over time it will get bigger and cause more damage through use. I just submitted a warranty claim same day of delivery.
Are the thigh bolsters soft if you wanna sit with your legs open wider or are they hard with a bar running through them? They seem restrictive. I hate this feature on most gaming chairs!

Is the softweave that much more comfortable? Also worth a note that they have a "peel protection" 5yr guarantee now too.
I guess it depends on how many hours you're going to spend sitting on it. Since you work from home, I would suggest the soft weave. I live in south Florida, but I personally chose the pu leather because I have 2 dogs that shed like crazy and I can see the soft wave being a hair magnet.

To all those (like me) who think this chair is too firm/hard. Just get a good pillow from Amazon (anti decubitus pillow for example- it's around 30€ ) + a footrest for extra comfort. Saved the chair for me. Thank me later!

Why are all the video reviews the opposite from the written reviews? All the videos make it look like it's a great chair, the written reviews tell the opposite. Not sure who to believe. 400 bucks for a chair that might or might not be good, is too much for me. Especially if you know how terrible their return policy is.
ya i will admit they seem to send out a whack load of free chairs to youtubers holy cow. Most of thee bad ones all say the cushion is too hard but that is what i want as i want it firm for playing cs:go it is what I am used to. I think the bad reviews are casual people that expect it to be super soft.

I already tried sitting on Softweave Omega 2020 when I go to the PC shop, they put a demo display during that time. The chair is quite soft(not soft like a sofa though which is perfect) and super comfortable. It's very very comfortable that I feel like to sit on it for many hours. For me, 400 buck for a superb ergonomic chair like this is a very good investment towards healthy lifestyle, unless you're a broke person who thinks its way too expensive.
I ordered the Omega softweave 2020. I like the quality of the construction and build of these chairs but comfy they are not. On a scale of (0)soft - (10)hard they are a solid 9.5. The lumbar support pillow is about a 3.0 it melts to nothing its so soft. I like a chair with good support but would like a little soft in it. Now you know.
would the lower lumbar support pillow help keep your back cool when its hot as well? I sweat in my chair when its hot, but I feel like i'd get the softweave chair dirty and stained from food or drink paha
Depending on the circumstances for waterproofing and spill wiping leather is for you. But if leather gets scratched it shows but not in fabric up you you.
I know both Omega and Titan will be great....but I don't know which one will be good for me FIT-wise. I'm leaning on Omega due to my limited space, but want the Titan for the sake of being better built for a larger person. 5'10" 190Lbs.

Did you wipe is down with the recommended leather cleaner once a week or make sure ypur body isn't sweaty before sitting down? Its suppose to last for like 5 years if well taken care of. Its ok if you slacked but that could be why it peeled so soon. Gotta treat it like ayour own child
If you have AC, and your room is cool, go for the leather. I want the leather but my room gets hot and I have poor ventilation, so I will most likely go for the fabric.

Chair bought 1 month ago and it’s my biggest recret of the year so far. This char is everything but confortable. It is as hard as a wooden chair, so much hard that I have aches. I can’t believe youtubers says it’s the best chair on the market. Also i’m 65cm and it’s way too big for me. I’m very honest with you guys if you’re looking to buy this chair, please be aware.
I had my Titan Softweave chair delivered around 10 days ago and absolutely loved it for the first 3 - 4 days - great quality, super-comfortable and decent posture support. I genuinely thought it was going to prove to be a great buy. But for the past week or so, it's causing me to get static shocks multiple times a day (essentially every time I get up after sitting for over 60 mins or so) and I then touch anything metallic (my light switch, even metal 'plastering' edge corners in my wall!) and it's happened a few times when i've just reached down to adjust the chair in some way. God knows what would happen if I decided to touch my PC case for some reason (not great considering this is a 'gaming' style chair), as components aren't exactly renowned for handling static discharges particularly well. I googled it because I wondered if other people we're having any similar issues, and there are a number of reddit posts on this. This has to be a known issue to Secretlabs. It's difficult to overstate just how incredibly annoying this is - it's absolutely ruining my enjoyment of what otherwise seems to be a great product. I genuinely have nothing else bad to say about the chair - just feeling so gutted that this is happening :-(

Save your money, PU leather or bonded leather will always flake off over time. Depends on useage how long it will last. Remember this brand is known for pushing paid reviews. I would go either real leather or material as both will last longer. material can be washed with a carpet cleaner mini attachement also which means it will last a decent amount of time.
Look into their Titan model instead. I'm the same height, and will be getting that one. The model in this video is Omega, and that's definitely way too small for taller people.

PU leather you'll sweat, but the sweat can be wiped off. Softeave if you sweat, then your sweat will stain the fabric. Tsk tsk compromises. I don't understand why Secretlab doesn't offer perforated leather like noblechairs.

Got the Omega PU chair in mid 2018.....after 1.5yrs the PU leather is cracking and tearing .... perhaps the soft weave is the better option

Seems pretty good but why isn't it memoryfoam seat? does the seat spread out the support? a knee test is entirely irrelevant. that's not how you sit

The wheelbase is not made of aluminium. If it was, it would bend. I think you will find it is made of an alloy.

The key test, for the first one, you applied way more pressure. You can just tell because the key was way deeper. Compared to the 2.0 test.

Damn, I really want the PU leather version, but it's hot and humid where I live (AC indoors, though).
If you have AC, and your room is cool, go for the leather. I want the leather but my room gets hot and I have poor ventilation, so I will most likely go for the fabric.
Which one would be more resistant to tears?
If you need to keep liquids away from it, how does it handle sweat?

Chair bought 1 month ago and it’s my biggest recret of the year so far. This char is everything but confortable. It is as hard as a wooden chair, so much hard that I have aches. I can’t believe youtubers says it’s the best chair on the market. Also i’m 65cm and it’s way too big for me. I’m very honest with you guys if you’re looking to buy this chair, please be aware.
I had my Titan Softweave chair delivered around 10 days ago and absolutely loved it for the first 3 - 4 days - great quality, super-comfortable and decent posture support. I genuinely thought it was going to prove to be a great buy. But for the past week or so, it's causing me to get static shocks multiple times a day (essentially every time I get up after sitting for over 60 mins or so) and I then touch anything metallic (my light switch, even metal 'plastering' edge corners in my wall!) and it's happened a few times when i've just reached down to adjust the chair in some way. God knows what would happen if I decided to touch my PC case for some reason (not great considering this is a 'gaming' style chair), as components aren't exactly renowned for handling static discharges particularly well. I googled it because I wondered if other people we're having any similar issues, and there are a number of reddit posts on this. This has to be a known issue to Secretlabs. It's difficult to overstate just how incredibly annoying this is - it's absolutely ruining my enjoyment of what otherwise seems to be a great product. I genuinely have nothing else bad to say about the chair - just feeling so gutted that this is happening :-(

I think it depends wwhat you use the chair for. I realize I'm really late to tell you what I think, but its really a personal preference.
Save your money, PU leather or bonded leather will always flake off over time. Depends on useage how long it will last. Remember this brand is known for pushing paid reviews. I would go either real leather or material as both will last longer. material can be washed with a carpet cleaner mini attachement also which means it will last a decent amount of time.

I hate PU 'leather'. Its doesn't hold up more than 3-4 years. I don't understand why its impossible to find a genuine leather office chair.

Look into their Titan model instead. I'm the same height, and will be getting that one.

PU leather you'll sweat, but the sweat can be wiped off. Softeave if you sweat, then your sweat will stain the fabric. Tsk tsk compromises. I don't understand why Secretlab doesn't offer perforated leather like noblechairs.
My softweave one comes in feb
