    He’s smart enough to know what he needs to say and what he shouldn’t say to get paroled. I think his only intention is to get out to murder his mother. Charity may not be a psychopath like her mother and son, but she has plenty of her own problems going on. She never seems to accept responsibility for possibly contributing to why Paris is the way he is. And I don’t believe her when she says she gave him such a normal childhood. That whole family was sick.

      Correct. An addict doesn't 'use' for a short period of time then suddenly stop to become a great Mum. They may swap one substance for another, but they keep the same dysfunctional attitudes until they accept they need to change. Some would have her seen as the innocent party in this and there is likely to be so much more to it.

      He is going to murder his new step sister, he will just do it all again, I believe if he was visited by someone who, unlike Piers, could provoke and trigger him, he would stumble and become very violent and threatening, that side of him needs to be revealed soon so it can be proven he is still a danger.

    I wonder, have there been any studies on psychopaths where they are given small doses of empathy-producing drugs such as MDMA? Very curious on the effect on a brain that normally doesn't produce these chemicals, and if that part of their brain can be stimulated extraneously? Based on what I have read, most psychopaths *want* to feel things, so I find it surprising that I have never heard this avenue being explored.

    Paris liked killing his sister. He'll kill again.
    Paris makes me think of the intelligent and articulate Ed Kemper who also wanted to kill his mother but killed several others first. If Ed hadn't turned himself in, I don't think he would have ever been caught.

    I watched both documentaries mentioned, first the interview with Pierce Morgan and then The family I had and I agree that you need more info into the family background to get the full picture. Knowing the horrific crime committed and seeing only the videos of a loving brother with his sister just didn't add up. How can someone be a psychopat with violent tendencies and no one notices any worrying signs for 13 years? But after watching the other documentary, it all made sense - the violent past involving his grandmother, her admitting to be manipulative, her lifestyle, his mum's troubled upbringing, his father's mental illness. Him trying to attack Ella before. Funny though, that the school never noticed anything odd about him.
    To be fair though, some of the videos of him being with Ella do show some odd stuff - him saying 'I'll kill you Ella' or asking his mother whether her least favourite sentence was 'killing Charity's children'.

    • @heatherwatson1108
      @heatherwatson1108 2 роки тому

      It's not easily noticed as psychopath/sociopaths are are very manipulative and can put on a great mask to fool those they want to fool until they find their target and everyone else is shocked/dont believe the behavior. Which makes sense why the teacher may have never noticed anything. They appear as angels, appear level headed and great "temperament" this is due to lack of emotion and empathy. Although they don't have a problem hurting other people, belittle them, trying to come off as "humble" in a non humble way (if this makes sense) which is also manipulative to seem as a good person. All they care about is how other people see them, not the action they did. they only regret the action when people find out they did it. Hence when he said, the police came in and "knew what I had done" Sometimes it takes a measure this drastic to comes to terms with it, and even then there are comments blaming the mom. He had an IQ of 141 as a young child, this is higher than most adults so even when he was very young he knew exactly what he was doing and he was probably very smart about it and got away with it. Very sad

      Paris was not charged as an adult, since the minimum age a juvenile can be tried as an adult in Texas is 14.[7] He was instead charged in juvenile court and pleaded guilty to capital murder. He was sentenced to 40 years in prison with the possibility of parole after 20 years, which is the maximum sentence for a defendant convicted of capital murder in juvenile court in Texas. When he was 19, Paris was transferred to adult prison.[8] During proceedings, Paris was diagnosed as a psychopath. He has said he has had homicidal ideation since he was a child.[9] Paris will first be eligible for parole in February 2027. If he is never granted parole, he will be released in February 2047. I hope for him that missing his 20s,30s and his 40s will make him regret what he did and make him realize what he denied to his sister or if he miss only his 20s or his 30s I hope that this will also be enough to make him realize what he did

    Hello Kathryn .I truly believe some people are "Born" evil.. And you can also have a horrific childhood and still be kind and Empathic.
    How does that work?

    • @CrimePsych
      @CrimePsych  3 роки тому +12

      There's a huge debate as to whether someone can be born evil. I believe someone can be born with blunted emotions that allow them to hurt or kill others. Particular personality traits can lead some people to crime. But I don't think people are necessarily born evil - but because of genetic traits they can make decisions that lead to crime.
      As for those who have suffered traumatic abuse and can still be empathic - I think this is best explained by how well supported or particular personality traits they have. People can either be victims or survivors. But to be a survivor and still be empathic takes support and a good understanding of self. It is normal to harbour resentment and anger towards their abusers. But if this is carried around for years and buried deep within, it can lead to self loathing and anger. Negative experiences and emotions are often not talked about and 'brushed under the carpet' so to speak.
      My counsellor once taught me a very valuable lesson. I used to 'act' the strong single mum. Nothing bothered me because I was closed off. For me, that was the safest option. I repressed memories of traumatic events because I didn't want to feel the emotion. My wonderful brain blocked it out to protect me. But she told me that FEAR was important - I could choose to F**k Everything And Run or Face Everything And Recover. It wasn't until I was in a safe enough place that I faced it. And I think parallels can be drawn to those who have been abused and are loving and loyal with no resentments.
      Bit of a lengthy answer, but I hope that answers your question and helps somewhat.

      Here it's not about horrific childhood but more the reproduction in the family of antisocial/ sociopath traits. It's crazy how the grandmother seems like an unapologetic narcissistic thug, the mum a co dependent with borderline traits and the son a massive sociopath who also has a taste for violently resolving his emotional issues. It's not even that the grandmother wasn't motherly, it's just that in the end... No one knows if she actually made her husband killed or not. She looks like a female drug baron in her mansion. Never seen a woman like that. She looks like she relished being dominant and manipulative. Well nothing in this family is normal.

      Addiction of any kind is a symptom, not a cause. Have you ever sat and talked with an addict? You will find they are struggling to cope with something. Are you saying that Charity and her drug use are the reason Paris killed her child? Are you saying that her children should have been removed from her and placed into care because she was in emotional turmoil and coping the only way she could at that time in her life? Nobody has the right to decide when a woman can or cannot have a child.

    he is a genius. I think that when he says love is too complicated for him to just point at something and say that is love... i think he doesn't say that because he can't feel love.. i think he says that because he's a very smart and logical thinker. When someone ask's him what love is his brain goes into so much depth at what real love is vs what love is portrayed in movie or what the classical and simple answer to what love is. He has a point.. love is very complex thing if you really want to dig deep. His brain in incapable of giving a short easy answer, I think he's a genius because he approaches topics into a level of complexity so high that he refuses to look at things very simply and which is why he doesn't consider himself or anyone normal by definition. He thinks too logically with not a lot of emotion at all but that doesn't mean he still doesn't feel it. There are many forms of love. And at the end he isn't saying he can't describe what he felt when he was doing the killing when he was younger because he cant feel... he's trying to say that when he was younger it was a different version of him, different brain and different way of thinking because his brain wasn't fully developed and he didn't really understand what he was doing, the way he answers his questions now about how he felt is different because he grew up, he's a man, therefore he can't possibly explain what his mind was feeling as a little kid. if they would have asked him that question when he was younger it would have been different, because people change and brains develop. You have to understand that his responses are a lot more thought out and complicated even if it doesn't seem that way for someone to be able to quickly say oh because he didn't give a concrete answer that instantly means he doesnt have any emapthy in him at all. I believe he does feel emotion and empathy just not as simple as we all might. When he says he felt alone he meant mentally, because no one understood him and how his brain processed like his mom and his friends. He's a genius who simply felt alone in his billions of thoughts in his head. He didn't think emotionally when he killed his sister. He thought logically. How to get his moms attention and show her that he isn't normal because he's always felt she didn't quite understand how crazy his brain was but that has to do with him being a genius. They don't think with all around with areas of their brain but they think a lot more than we do with specific areas of their brains. So though he lacks emotional intelligence his logical intelligence is so high it deems him genius. Sometimes its easier to think less because that makes you "normal"

      I think you are right to some point, but still I think he is a sadistic psychopath and how he killed his little sister was very evil. If you saw the documentary The Family I Had then you saw the drawings he made of his family and he mentioned killing his sister as a very young child. I think in this way he was telling them what he was feeling and thinking, but his mother and grandmother ignored him and did not take it serious. I think the murder could have been prevented if they would have let him stay in the institution they put him in. I think he did show them who he really was, but they did not see it. They did not even try to understand him prior to the murder. And even in the documentaries they don't explain why he has so much anger. He does not really explain i detail what the issue with his mother really is. Sure she was a drug addict, but what exactly did she do nobody says it. They don't go deep into that. I think she should never get parole. His mother recently cut him out because he was "involved" with a woman who lived two hours away from her and was out on bond for planning a mass shooting.

    - Maybe during Charities relapse she let some shady people into her life that may have done something to Paris?
    - I get that he may have been born a psychopath. But to harbor that level of hatred, aggression, and sexual sadism is not normal. Something must’ve happened when he was growing up.
    - why does he harbor such intense resentment towards his mother? Usually other serial killers that also hate their mothers. It’s because they were terrible parents to them or were very vulnerable people that allow bad things to happen to their children.
    - why was the grandmother facilitating him, graphic rape, material, knowing that he raped her granddaughter?
    Is there a possibility that the grandmother may have groomed him into becoming a sexual deviant?

If he would have grew up with two healthy parents, mother and father, I do not think he would have committed that crime. Still it is his fault and he cannot blame anyone else for his decisions and his evil murder. Still I think he was telling his mother and family that he had those evil thoughts, because if you saw the documentary The Family I Had, they show the drawings he made as a child and what he wrote. They are very telling. It was not really a surprise that he killed. He told many times in different ways he would do that. In one video he even tells his sister he is going to kill her. He also once attacked his mother and grandmother with a knife. It was something that he had in mind since a long time as it seems.

    I think, if a psychopath murders someone, it really does not matter they will ever do that again. If they did it for revenge of any kind, not if they enjoy cruelty, I suppose? I am just wondering. I would, for example, feel totally ok if Jodi Arias would never even be charged for murder, somehow, I believe she would avoid stressful relationships ever again and she would never be in situation to feel a need to murder. But this case do not seem to be convincing. If he said he will kill his mom, I believe he will, just give him a chance. I do not think psychopaths are capable of forgiving, or of letting go? It would be interesting to study non-criminal psychopaths but I only know one for now, and I base my guess on that...

Of course he would be extremely paranoid his entire consciousness is detrimentally scrutinized and judged every second of everyday. Yes this is an extreme case and he is of course forever dangerous. He has however been completely open about how he thinks and his deepest torments, this display of honesty and truth shows that he is aware of how dangerous his mind is and that he can be managed in some way and perhaps has more integrity and honesty than those judging him. Sex/life and violence/death are both hyper states of physical arousal. If anyone has ever had a mind blowing orgasm you might be able to correlate the two. Good luck to all.

    Please give us some facts about his claimed psychopathy and homocidality tendencies. I can't see it in all the videos compared to others, where the P. was clear. On the contrary, he shows self-knowledge, care, suffering and having changed and wanting o keep his dark side in check. Not showing emotions doesn't have to mean anything rong, the psychologist and the other woman(police?) show inapproprite emotionality, not all that healthy and adult... He gets neutral or negative, supportless response by that elderly male interviewer, and the blonde, middle-aged so-called psychologist, smiles with merry eyes while talking about him as though looking for abnormalities in him were entertaining and fun, which is derogatory, insulting and dishonourable, making her look quite unhealthy herself.
    I want to hear some of your own observations and analysis, not regurgitation of what has been said by others.What is the proof of his P. to not b an unusual self-ocntrol, privacy about emotions, a deliberate withholding of them? Why not say sth nice about him and owning the fact that he was a child of 13?
    I don't buy that various diagnoses can't possible heal or improve, there are enough xperience/proof of that. Get real examination done, including nutritional, toxical. Provide him/them some real quality culture and human relationships of high quality and see what happens. They have feelings and human needs just as every human being, even if they can't show and live it.
    Cf that pscyhopathic criminologist psychiatrist on YT, who is jovial and does not act his P. out. Is it because of being free from CPTSD stress? I'd appreciate a reply from you.
