@@WinterSoldierLTE sounds a bit like a dodgy DVD I bought in Australia in about 07,it was the live in Essen concert that was grabbed from the German TV channel RTL.....its uploaded on here now and is a great gig and its exactly the same as the dodgy DVD i bought from an indoor market.....I guess my point is it's great that these things exist from back then because getting hold of anything to do with a band like Megadeth live and from their 80s period was just not happening!....I bought countdown to extinction the day it came out when I was in high school and that changed my life right there and then!.....I just love to hear or see anything that was grabbed or just recorded by any means available at the time,I'm very appreciated for these things so good on you fella....thanks again.
@@mindstorms44 I'll have to look up that gig you're talking about. I definitely wish there were more live albums from back in the day for Megadeth. I'd love to see a good visual and audio quality show from the tour for Peace Sells. It's a shame they and a lot of other bands never really did live albums early in their careers.
Coincidentally that KIMB line-up was my favorite one. Those first two records absolutely ripped, although I understand that even as bad as Dave was on the dope, Chris and Gar were even worse. I can’t blame Dave for cutting ties. But the sound on those first two records is unmatched in thrash
Dude, no one sounds like Poland. Even on 'The System Has Failed' his playing and tone just stands out so much from every other guitar player that has been in that band.
Listening to this interview is so right on the money. I look at all Metallica albums since Re-load and think man... they shouldve taken Mustaine's advice!
A lot of insight and intelligence in his comments.He really speaks about what he knows about from experience.I like the way he rejects the sex drugs rocknroll philosophy of many of the glam bands of that time.interesting to hear that in the Bible Belt they were burning Megadeth. records.i guess many of those burners would also be burning even Christian Metal records.Refusing to accept the fact that it was God who created ALL Music styles.Well I will agree to disagree with such Christians for the rest of my life ,to put it politely.Thanks for providing another intriguing Megadeth interview Video.
He's a very well spoken guy who put some thoughts into his answers, for sure. And when you look at a lot of other interviews with other bands from back then you can see he really was one of the loners in that sense. Most other bands weren't talking about things like longevity of the music and the limitations of only writing about certain themes until way late into their careers.
Yeah. Given his (I'm assuming given the era) state of being at this time, it has always bugged me that whoever recorded this edited out the interviewer asking the questions.
Dave Mustaine is an Absolute legend and Metal icon. The impact he has had on music is absolutely unparalleled.

Wishing Dave the best with his health. Hes always been one of my top 5 musicians, and I've always had a tremendous amount of respect for him.
And as of 4 days ago he is laying down vocals for the next album! Way to go, Dave!

I seen Megadeth on the Rust In Peace tour when i was 16, Dave Mustaine is the one of the best Metal guitarists i have ever seen.
This was an amazing interview. But when Dave says he's not doing drugs... lmfao! That's funny.

The band exept Jeff was snorting heroin and Mustaine free basing 24/7 after the tour ended.
J JJ at this time he only had 1 line change. The drummer and lead guitarist were worse off than him as far as drugs go.
