I agree! I had someone tell me he was a nobody a few years ago and was blown away! That album was a huge part of my childhood! And man those solos were pure fire! He is definitely underrated! Which really sucks! 🔥🔥🔥🎸🎸🎸
This is what makes this podcast great, you get all spectrums of rock and metal. Awesome choice I hope to see old heads mixed with modern bands one day!
This makes me so happy. So Far So Good So What is one of the best written Megadeth albums to me, very out the box. Both amazing musicians ! Love their work
Great choice to have these two on here. I like the fact that you’re just going all over the place in music. If I can have a request, Interview D.R.I. 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Jeffs licks on SFSGSW made it standout far & above anything I had ever heard before & have loved it ever since; thanks so many muchos for the amazing sharing of your talents Jeff :D
Holy shit I totally forgot about the Garza podcast today. Holidays got me all thrown off. I can't say I'm much of a Megadeth fan but I'll still be watching. The conversations here are always great.
Fender was the first company to make a seven string guitar. It was never commercialized but they made a few prototypes, at least a couple years before Ibanez made one for Steve Vai.
I seen kings of thrash in March 2023, and those guys are absolutely amazing! Probably the best show I've ever seen i can't wait to here their original material.
Dave is so cool...and Jeff!! ...I got to see them both on the so far so good so what tour in japan...quite memorable!! It was trippy...I wish I'd had a phone camera for that one,...but it was late 80s
Met Jeff and Dave on sfsgsw tour…..Nassau colosseum, AND I have been invited out for a pint by Ritchie and Candace after my gig they saw me play at a nice restaurant. Early 2000’s .haha cool stuff. Cool interview.
It's cool to hear how other people learned how to play. I had a similar experience. I learned by ear, but had a brother-in-law teach me how to hold the guitar and pick, and how to read tabs. Then I started playing along to megadeth, death, metallica, slayer, and testament. Eventually played some steve vai and yngwie stuff. Then had ultimate guitar forums where a bunch of different people taught me a bunch of different tricks. Even had a dude spend several hours with me, teaching me how modes work over msn messenger lol.
Chris was talking about the Megadeth Endgame tour in 2009 where they got kicked off. I went to that Reno, NV show and I think Warbringer was their replacement. That was my 2nd concert
I hope these guys write a new album. Give it that old Megadeth sound. Get a guest Solo form Marty and Kiko. You really want to piss off Dave, Get James to do vocals on a song.
@@GL.Sorrell I love Megadeth but Marty isn't going to be playing more shows with Megadeth. As much as I would love to see it, that it was a once in 30 years type of deal.
@@ebenezerspludge8369 Mustaine said there will be a surprise at the 2024 Argentina shows, who knows. The point is Marty won't be playing with Jeff young in a million years, much less 30.
I think the Megadeth lineup for So Far was one of the best lineups. Jeff killed it on guitar and everyone knew it. Too bad the Daves were so messed up on hard drugs. Also didn't know about Axel's drama with the food catering on the Iron Maiden Seventh Tour. I saw that show in Omaha, NE and we asked why Guns wasn't on the bill that night, wad told Axel had a bad trip.
I am perplexed by the total lack of appreciation and respect for Ellefson in recent years, he was the right hand of Dave and the 2nd mainman of Megadeth during their best and worst, he is ome of the OGs of thrash, come on...
For those unknowing Not on a Laptop. MEGADETH On a Quality stereo is Ear Candy. God Bless America and Lars for getting Dave out. Time Reveals Truth or a RECKONING DAY
Check out David and Jeff in the kitchen making some Tater "Thrash" Hot Dish on Metal Mastication, the only heavy metal/hard rock interview show set in the kitchen! ua-cam.com/video/XKVpVN2Vdns/v-deo.html
I love how Jeff brings up the Allan Holdsworth influence. That is one non metal musician whose influence on metal has been understated. Allan is still head and shoulders above everyone else to me. Sure he played at warp speeds which everyone does now but his sense of harmony and composition is untouchable. Glad to hear him getting some love from other players…
I just want someone to play Jeff Youngs shit talking and shit flinging back to Ellefson so he can have his eyes opened.. When Ellefson had his incident Jeff was the first in line to kick him and laugh at him... I want Ellefson to hear what Jeff really thinks.
Jeff's guitar solos on the "So far, so good, so what" album are incredible. Underrated af.
He's my favorite after Poland in Megadeth. He's probably more well rounded than even Poland but they're both great.
I agree! I had someone tell me he was a nobody a few years ago and was blown away! That album was a huge part of my childhood! And man those solos were pure fire! He is definitely underrated! Which really sucks!
🔥🔥🔥🎸🎸🎸
Yup. But Give Dave credit. He's had what? 7 or 8 different lead players? And they were ALL great. Not just good. Great. Every damn one.

Very cool! Did not expect these legends as guests. You’re killing it Garza 🤘
He's basically the Joe Rogan of metal pocasting at this point
The guests you get is insane. One of the best podcasts no doubt.
You should try getting Carcass on here
He is in US, there is no way Carcass would travel from UK just for a podcast!
An interview with some of Chuck shuldiners old band mates feom death would be awesome as well.
I would expect a podcast made by musicians to have better audio... There's so much hiss..
This is what makes this podcast great, you get all spectrums of rock and metal. Awesome choice I hope to see old heads mixed with modern bands one day!
more metal veterans on the show! I bet Kerry King and Gary Holt would be down. Scott Ian and Frank Bello from anthrax...
This makes me so happy. So Far So Good So What is one of the best written Megadeth albums to me, very out the box. Both amazing musicians ! Love their work
The production on that album was awful… it should of sounded way better than it did.
@@owencorfield6163 The production sounds dirty and real.
Behler was a pretty poor drummer.
I always thought it was unique in the Megadeth cannon. Some very dark and moody songwriting.
@@jonathanmcroberts8549 Well you now, so was Ringo Starr.
Killed it Garza. Thanksssssssss
Awesome interview! I love how Jeff talks about music and gets so into it. Fantastic guitarist. Dave's also a cool cat.
Great choice to have these two on here. I like the fact that you’re just going all over the place in music. If I can have a request, Interview D.R.I. 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
This just became my new favorite channel.
Great guests. Great interview, it’s all about the music. 🙌🏼🤘🏼
Thank you for consistently putting out good content. Keep it up man.
SFSGSW is my favourite Megadeth album.
The Garza Podcast has become one of the best platforms in the metal community. So well done.
Loved this conversation between musicians. Legends. 🤘🏼💥
Damn I learned a lot from this podcast about Jeff... Amazing guitar player and human too. Wanted more .
Interesting guest choice
You mean perfect?
Interesting? I mean cool
MEGADETH/ So Far..so..Good..So What is a Thrashterpeiece!!! Still rules!!! 🔥 💀 🔥 👍
Amazing to listen to Jeff Young's knowledge, what a legend, I feel like he is one of the last of his kind. Thank you Dave, Jeff and Chris.
Great interview
This is insane. Good shit
Love Jeff's statement on analog vs digital!
Makes me really excited to hear what they come up with the album
Jeffs licks on SFSGSW made it standout far & above anything I had ever heard before & have loved it ever since; thanks so many muchos for the amazing sharing of your talents Jeff :D
don't care what anyone says, Ellefson is a cool dude. Garza you need to get The Black Dahlia Murder and the Inferi boys on. bless 🤘
Yes, Dave is super cool. Black Dahlia would be great!
Yup, TBDM would be amazing! RIP Trevor
Holy shit I totally forgot about the Garza podcast today. Holidays got me all thrown off. I can't say I'm much of a Megadeth fan but I'll still be watching. The conversations here are always great.
i love jeff young shirt he is wearing , i agree with the message
All intelligent people do, yes.
David is probably the best interview you can get. Every one I see/hear I get new info. He can talk and not be boring. I'd love to interview him.
3 legends
Chris always delivers 🔥😤🙏
Dave is so mellow and respectful... Great interview. Dave yawns and Jeff can't blink 😎🤙 Love the passion of all three
I met David Ellefson in 2018. Great guy!!
this is fantastic podcast, subbed!
fantastic listen
When you guys were talking about cutting the tape or film at an angle that's essentially a Crossfade in any editing program now
Jeff’s passion when he speaks about music and guitar techniques is incredible.
Awesome interview! Saw these guys in Cleveland last year. What an amazing show. Can't wait for their new album. Thanks, take care.
Great interview, great guests! Nobody's a saint. Swallow that!
this is awesome, i saw them recently as VIP at the whiskey, play amazing live and super cool down to earth dudes
Awesome interview you 3 clicked!👍
Very Awesome Interview Super fuckin cool Thank you.
Fender was the first company to make a seven string guitar. It was never commercialized but they made a few prototypes, at least a couple years before Ibanez made one for Steve Vai.
Very cool to find out about the cymbals being removed. Never heard Chuck ever tell that.
For all of the well-deserved praise Jeff Young receives, I do find it odd he’s done next to nothing since SFSGSW, 36 years ago.
I seen kings of thrash in March 2023, and those guys are absolutely amazing! Probably the best show I've ever seen i can't wait to here their original material.
34:49.....AMAZING Mustaine impression! LOL
The best dave from megadeth.
Thank you for this. MEGADETH

I saw Jeff with Megadeth in 88 when they opened for Dio at Kaiser Arena in Oakland CA. I got to see most of the Megadeth lineups live.
Met Jeff and Dave on sfsgsw tour…..Nassau colosseum, AND I have been invited out for a pint by Ritchie and Candace after my gig they saw me play at a nice restaurant. Early 2000’s .haha cool stuff. Cool interview.
What a set up, very nice indeed. Ellefson and Young are cool as hell 🤘
"We are all one." Well put Jeff. I always love it when he inserts sth spiritual.
Great guests choices. People are gonna whine and cry like everything nowadays, but I love how Chris doesn't give a single f**k.
this was great awesome
Never really cared for Jeff young but after seeing kings of thrash live ..he had fun on stage and made the show along with the singer
Big fan here
Jeff you getting a little choked up talking about our music brotherhood is spot on man very well said Metal Brother 🤘🤘
Dave E is always humble . Respect to that men.
It's cool to hear how other people learned how to play. I had a similar experience. I learned by ear, but had a brother-in-law teach me how to hold the guitar and pick, and how to read tabs. I can't be the only one to notice the water bottle with GAR on it. RIP Gar Samuelson
Ellefson is the best thing to ever happen for mustaine music wise
Interesting Dave. I had an Acoustic bass head I used to have to give a whack to set it back in place. So I know what you mean.
Real musicians, Dave and jeff
🤘🏼🎸🔥
DROP THE SNUFFED ON SIGHT INTERVIEW
Chris was talking about the Megadeth Endgame tour in 2009 where they got kicked off. I went to that Reno, NV show and I think Warbringer was their replacement. That was my 2nd concert
Finally some good guests
Can you please try and get Jeff Becerra from POSSESSED that would be gnarly as hell
I have an old PV bass amp , an I have to give it a good smack to start working
Try to get Chris Poland!
Yes please!
I hope these guys write a new album. Give it that old Megadeth sound. Get a guest Solo form Marty and Kiko. You really want to piss off Dave, Get James to do vocals on a song.
Dave doesn't give a fuck about these losers, hence why their asses are in a Megadeth cover band and not in Megadeth.
😂😂😂 👊🤘

antrax warlock not sure that order correct
passic capitol you two rocked thanks

Bust in peace 🥴🥴
So grateful the original mixes of those Megadeth albums are on Spotify. The remixes were and are terrible. Dave is spot on regarding those.

Santa Ana is where I used to get my medical weed from the dispensary back in '16. ha
Dave rules!!!!
Hard to Beat
Really bums me out that Ellefson is not in Megadeth.
He belongs there as much as Mustaine does.
The fender stagemaster was a 7 string
I just want someone to play Jeff Youngs shit talking and shit flinging back to Ellefson so he can have his eyes opened..
When Ellefson had his incident Jeff was the first in line to kick him and laugh at him... I want Ellefson to hear what Jeff really thinks.
Fr what happened
@patrickmurphy2443 Which the Ellefson stuff or what Jeff was doing in the moment it was happening?
In which interview did jeff do that? can you pls link it i would love to watch it@@PhantomDeth
@n1troni It's on his own podcast he did for a few years.. Same place he talked shit about Mustaine for years.. Just a very petty bitter man.
Garza u are insane 😁
Please get Ross Dolan and Robert vigna.
You should bring in Orbit Culture next Chris. Would love to see it🤘🔥🤘🔥🤘

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 i see it
Jeff is such a hippie, what a good guy, I always thought Mustaine kicked him out, out of jealousy.
Garza is making history or somethig similar
Control Z undoes a deleted portion in Microsoft Word, Mr. Ellefson. Control P prints the document.
use to respect ellefson more, but jeff young is awesome!
