I kinda like this CM. TBH it's all about communication. If you are all on discord, it's kinda easy, if you are trying to PUG it via LFG it's impossible. Teamwork is actually what counts, not necessairly the stats. It's good to have 1 or 2 CMs like that.
@@HornyGates not a bad thing. If Anet actually sticks to strikes, unlike everything else in the game, then when we have 10cm's people will run trains and actually make some good profit from strike cms.
Poor Pathowe lmao. Cool fight though, will be interesting to see newer players try this as it will most likely be the first 10-man content they come across.
CM vs NM: pools are larger, i think the green/blue fail hits harder (not rly sure cuz i play specter and barrier is rly good now) and puzzle is random and you only see the patterns for 2-3sec. For the title you need to just cc everything and not fail.
Did the cm 3rd try with title, together with people on HS discord. Tips: superspeed helps for faster stacking and barrier as always can save you from a lot. Gl hf!
It is ONLY good when you have other squad members who are competent gw2 players. Small overload boon application radius and massive once-off boon duration means the squad has to stick together at all times else they lose access to alacrity uptime by a huge margin. Combine this with any encounter where you can potentially get cc'ed while overloading and your alacrity and boon application just plummets to nonexistence - meaning you as a gw2 player need to know every possible cc that you can experience in every single encounter or you will struggle your arse off to get it right. No access to healing outside of water overload means the squad has to know how to avoid damage - so in any pug group where people take much more damage on average, it sucks as a healer (since they essentially removed the ability for shouts to heal). Sure it can make up for it when it does go back to water, but if your group mainly has power scholar dps then those players are pretty much screwed for scholar uptime. Using the superspeed/aegis shout for the superspeed means you have no stun break for your subgroup, so any encounter where you need to combine both aegis and a stun break means you are screwed for choice as a tempest - unless you very specifically pair it with a quickness that can also stun break or give aegis (basically only quickFB). So, tempest CAN BE GOOD in the right hands, but universally you will hate getting overloads interrupted and not being able to heal outside of water attunement that you just won't take it everywhere (most places).
@@rozrywkapopracy9964 They literally just need to take the aura heal out of the grandmaster tier and the problem will be solved. Also, for the love of god, make the alacrity pulse and not be once-off. If it just gets these two changes it'll be a banger support class that anyone will happily play.
@@kajhall3581 It does have healing outside of water (overload? I'm guessing you mean attunement), though not an insane amount ofc. Soothing mist and signet of water are nice (frost bow too I suppose, in theory). Those should be enough to keep your sqaud healthy, except for especially heal-intensive fights and even then. The stunbreak + aegis combo is kind of a bummer I guess yeah, though through anticipating and using aftershock you could avoid it
@@kajhall3581 what are you talking about man... I have no idea what you're saying. You have so much healing besides water overload it's incredible. In fact, I rarely overload water to make sure the water attunement cooldown is minimal. Cone of cold is good healing, soothing mist is good healing, your Regen is Chad Regen, your shout heal is so good too. You can blast your water field from warhorn 5. You can even dodge to heal your allies. That is so much more healing access than your average support class. Such easy access to vigor and protection. And easy access to boon extension that increases the margin of error for people who have to do mechanics. If you overload everything but water you can easily keep up max alac and even increase your margin enough to the point where you can camp water and never drop alac if you overload water off CD, given your opener is correct. Yes, it's true, you have to be knowledgeable to know when to overload an when not to, so you don't interrupt yourself. But you can also take arcane shield which can be cast during an overload for safety. Since you don't give alac with utility skills, that's something you can afford to do. Also I don't understand your stunbreak Aegis argument. When do you need to stunbreak and aegis at the same exact time such that you can't pick between the two? Also, aftershock gives aegis but eye of the storm breaks stun and gives stab so those things are decoupled anyways, I'm not sure I understand.
@@kajhall3581 there is room for improvement, for example pulse alac during your overload. But it's not even bad design to give alac when the overload is done given that your overloads are supposed to give you an additional effect at the end. Could be that 30% of the alac is pulsed then 70% is granted at the end, or something like that. Either way, you don't have to be impossibly good at the game to make heal alac tempest work. You just have to be decently experienced, and that comes with practice for anything. It's such a good build, with so much access to all the important boons. Enough with the narrative that it can't be played / there's never a reason to play it. There's so much reason to play it, especially since it's got such fantastic healing and carry potential. Beyond what a mech can bring when it comes to carrying headless chickens through an encounter, that's for sure.
is that really all you get for doing this CM? i was excited about it but i dont know if i will ever find a party for it if rewards are just shards and karma
Team comp I'd recommend here: HFB/HAM - red main tank (dps can also tank) HAM - green tank (ranged alac for phase 2) 2 qScrapper(superspeed) / 2 qHerald(soft boon carry) / a mix of the two(no consume qHerald) / PAM (if HFB) + qScrapper/qHerald Engineer specs and Revenant specs are really good on this fight for CC especially if going for title run, otherwise anything with range works. I wouldn't recommend specs which require staying in place to do big damage (example Bladesworn, Soulbeast, etc.) as the fight requires a lot of movement mainly during phase 2. A kiter for green boomerang attack is extremely useful (in which case you can tank green in middle for phase 1). Heal scourge or blood scourge is extremely powerful for PUGs which lack stacking. HAMs and qScrappers can take Supply Crate elite in which case if running 2 HAMs and 2 qScrappers, you don't need anyone else to take CC as 2xCrash Down + 2x/4xThrow Mine + 4x Supply Crate is all the CC you'll ever need (note during phase 2 Supply Crate can only be used every 90ish seconds and Red Boss appears every 50s. Condi Mech and Condi Mesmer builds here are overpowered due to confusion damage.
Every kinght has an aoe, when you cc the knight it reverses thr aoe zone, so basically based on their position you cc the one that will create a safe zone
Didnt watch the vid yet so idk if CM is different but pug groups usually go GRuB. Green, Red, Blue where you cc one knight each time they all show up on the map in that order.
@@iRoXsOxAlOt you can't do this in CM because they randomized the order of the patterns. I don't know how to spot the right knight to cc. Maybe the patterns are the same as in NM so you only need to know those 3 and remember which one you got...
